8BrickMario Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 (edited) That 360 looked like it had trans-yellow, but I'm hoping it's the light. No way would LEGO consciously include that color in a Green Lantern vehicle. The S@H image shows unprinted Bat-wings, though, so it's hard to tell which image is totally accurate. SoupOrFishOil Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 I know on LDD that trans yellow and trans yellowish green are nearly indistinguishable. Might they use the same RGB/Hex/etc. values on S@H as they do on LDD? I'm sure they wouldn't put trans yellow on GL's jet. Quote
K-Nut Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 The pics of the set make it look like the yellowish green. It adds another color to the jet that makes it look better, but I'm guessing it's not the trans yellow. Quote
Zergos Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 I love this set, there is no way I'm gonna miss out on this one! Hopefully this is the start of a diverse wave :D Quote
wesker Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Finally a Green Lantern set! And it definitely looks like its worth the wait! Everything about the set and the minifigures looks awesome. Hopefully this sells well so we can see more Green Lantern themed sets in the future. Quote
Darth Caedus Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 That BatCowl was clearly designed for Batman vs. Superman. Now that BvS is pushed back, Lego's using the piece anyways. Great that we get a whole year's worth of more comic-based DC stuff. I'd argue this is the best $20 DC set yet only by virtue of the fact that it contains not only a key new hero and villain, but also an awesome Bat-variant...without a useless Bat vehicle. Quote
just2good Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Since this set is $20 and set 76025, it's safe to assume 76024 will be a $13 DC set based on Beyond Gotham. Quote
robuko Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 This looks a great set, very happy with it. I hope it is a trans yellow canopy on the jet, for the spacers. I like the trans green tail fins too. Lego did a good job of making a new GL figure. Quote
Gremer Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 They seem to be copying the same formula for $20 sets. 1 villain, 1 non-Batman hero, and Batman. 1 hero vehicle and small containment area for the villain. Quote
Wolvie90 Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 That set looks frickin awesome I been for a green lantern minifig for a long I just have a question are batmans wings printed or will they use a sticker?? Quote
Masked Builder Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 I am absolutely in love with the Green Lantern set, first day buy. Quote
Kire Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 It only took them 3 year to finally release Green Lantern. I've always wondered why the Lego group never released Lego sets to go alongside their video games some of the builds are just beautiful and iconic. The minikits were so nice. Hopefully they'll put one maybe in one of these sets sort of as an Easter egg to the buyer. Quote
Colossus Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 (edited) Anyhow guys, this will be my last post for a couple days, unless I can find time to do so from the con! - Rob Way to rub it in, ya lucky dawg! Have fun! Post pics! Anyhoo, I haven't been this jazzed about DC Lego since EVER! GL and Sinestro! I hope this means the floodgates are open for more character diversity! 8BrickMario Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 (edited) The new wings will most likely be printed. The other image likely/hopefully shows preliminary wings. I hope the $13 set will be Robin vs. villain, with no Batman, like the Scuba Jet: Attack of the Penguin set. It's nice to see him going solo occasionally. And I want a Robin vehicle in a proper set! I wonder if one of his LB3 suits will be in the new sets. I'm certain that Ventriloquist's mysterious cameos are leading to something, and if he's not in the sets, he'll certainly be in the game. (He was actually in the DS version of the first game.) Edited July 24, 2014 by 8BrickMario Quote
Faefrost Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Is it me or does Green Lanterns jet (!?!) look suspiciously like Hawkeyes from the Hulk Helicarrier set? There also seem to be a lot of pictures floating around where the canopy and transparency colors seem strange. I hope these are just prelims and the actual set colors use true emerald green. Quote

I thought the same thing about that jet. Hopefully its a proto/mock up as far as bricks go. I think it needs more emerald green, especially trans clear green. But I figure since Hal's a pilot, they gave him a cheesy little jet. Edited July 24, 2014 by Colossus Quote
Kire Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 The next set could possibly explain that small black tumbler and the new Wonder woman costume. Quote
Ezekiel2517 Posted July 24, 2014 Author Posted July 24, 2014 That transparent clear piece looks like something to launch a mini figure. You place it in the two studs and push down the back piece. Let go and the minifig goes flying. Also what is that cloth thing, a new cape. Looks weird. Quote
8BrickMario Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Might not be standard cloth. I don't know how it would attach to Batman, though. Quote
TheLegoExperience Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Might not be standard cloth. I don't know how it would attach to Batman, though. It looks like if you fold it like a regular cape, it will form a stud sized hole. Quote
K-Nut Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 Looks like the wings are wedged between two plates on his back, so the cape fits in where the wings are. Quote
Leewan Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 That transparent clear piece looks like something to launch a mini figure. You place it in the two studs and push down the back piece. Let go and the minifig goes flying. Yeah, it looks like a mini catapult, that's an interesting part. The set is rather good, I just don't like the front of the jet. I really like Sinestro's design. Faefrost Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 I hope this is the year we get a Darkseid big fig. Probably will not see him until 2016 or 2017 waves I hate to say. He's scheduled to be the big bad for Justice League. Hmmm? Thinking of the upcoming movies, I wonder what the odds of seeing a Sandman Morpheus or Death minifig are? (Heck Lego has the personification of Death looming in both Marvel and Avengers. It will be interesting to see how or if they deal with it. ) With no major WB DC movies out in 2015 I think we have the best chance to see some wonderfully broad and unusual characters. Stuff from comics and TV. Like looking at that X-Men jet, this would be a great year to do a mid to high priced T- Jet with Teen Titans centered around Robin, Cyborg, Starfire, Raven and Changeling with a good foe like Deathstroke. That could give us Deathstroke without dipping into the darker more adult Arrow take on him. It would still have the Batman hook by being centered on Robin. And would have very very broad age appeal given the different shows and books. Figure we will probably have at least one other really good Batman set for the Anniversary. I noticed that Walmart was finally starting to discount out the long lived Batcave, so something new along those lines may be looming. Quote

Ezekiel2517 Posted July 24, 2014 Author Posted July 24, 2014 Yeah, it looks like a mini catapult, that's an interesting part. CATAPULT! That's the word I was looking for. Duh. Quote
