Yay! Pictures!

These all look good, and I for sure will be getting all of them. They all have amazing figure selections.

I think the Darkseid set looks spectacular--the jet looks great, and hopefully it fits a few figures like the X-Jet does. The figure selection looks amazing in that set too; all of them are new characters except Superman; hopefully they look spectacular when we actually see them. Green Arrow is a plus too, but I hope they include something like a hood or a hat rather than the black hair he has now.

I think the Black Manta set looks ok. The builds seem a bit boring, at least the bat-sub does. Hopefully Black Manta himself looks good when we see him, since I'm now a bit worried about that tube that's coming from his back (I think it extends a bit too much).

I think the Grodd set is the most disappointing one for me however. I was thinking that the Invisible Jet would be the main build, but apparently most of the bricks went to that bat-mech (Which personally is like a throw-a-way for me). However, it is nice that the Jet is almost all trans-clear; even if the wings look like a "W". I'm happy to see that Captain Cold has both a parka and freeze-gun, which suggests a classic figure design. The most interesting thing however is the orange civilian figure--I hope he turns out to be some character like Jimmy Olsen or something--anything other than a "civilian".

I think the best set might be the Brainiac one though. It screams $20 set (Even if it isn't), as it has the same quality, build, and spectacular figures that we find across the board for $20 superhero sets.

All in all, I'm very excited for this wave thus far.

Maybe they'll do what they did with Magneto and Wolverine, give us the hair and a hat/hood

Does anybody know why Wonder Woman's jet is in the shape of a "W"? I don't remember it ever looking that way before...

Hopefully we will get both (I barely pay attention to New 52, so I didn't remember he shunned the hat/hood... now I recall wondering "is Connor the main Green Arrow again?" when it started, and rolling my eyes at learning it was just a youthful Ollie).

As for the Invisible Jet, last I heard anything about it (years ago) the comics had it as some sort of shape-shifting vehicle that could be whatever Diana needed; as such, and given the various Batmobiles we've had from Lego, I think a W-jet isn't unusual--and kinda appropriate for symbolism's sake. Hope it's the silver-trimmed WW this time like in the game!

Unfortunately, multiple price comparisons points to it being $30. And, $20 sets usually have three minifigures, not four. But, $30 is an excellent price for the set! :sweet:

This was a nerdgasm if there ever was one. Holy crap! I am just beaming! I didn't think they'd all come at once! I didn't think we'd get Hawkman and Supergirl and Green Arrow and Martian Manhunter! The only thing that's gonna top this is seeing the final designs for all of these figures! The wait for these is going to be excruciating! :cry_happy:

Yeah, which is a bit sad! Still it's a very good price for the set.

I knew it was not $20, but it really seems like it could be--so obviously one of those figures must be worth $10. Supes must be putting on some extra pounds for his bout with Batman!

This is so great to see this! With more JLA members, Legion of Doom members, Supergirl, and Green Arrow. Since I can't afford the SDCC one, I'll gladly take him with a different style. Now, on the builds. First off, I don't like the Gorilla Grodd/Captain Cold set. At all. The mech looks like those weird ultrabuilds from 2012. I will only buy that for the figures. The Black Manta thing is a bit strange. The Batsub is a bit blocky, and Aquaman looks like he used the Atlantis theme to build his fortress(?). I do however like Manta's sub. As for Darkseids set,mi have to say I like the look of it. Between the Javelin and the hovercraft thing, I like it a lot. The same can be said about the Brainiac set. Who am I kidding? I'm going to buy all 5 when they come out!

Anyone else realized Wonder Woman has her 52 outfit on the box?

The Bat-mech actually uses at least one of the ultrabuild pieces. I did notice Wonder Woman's outfit change.

Wow even for prelims those look good.

So next year the line up is:

JL members

Superman New 52

Batman new 52

Wonder Woman New 52

Flash

Aquaman

Green Lantern

Scuba Robin

Martian Manhunter

Cyborg

Green Arrow

Hawkman

Villains

Darkseid

Brainiac

Captain Cold

Black manta

Sinestro

Gorilla Grood

That's easily the best line up ever!

You forgot Supergirl.

Ahh! That makes sense.

Another thought: Since they didn't use the Martian Manhunter we already have, can we assume this is a new one?

The more Superman there is, the more kryptonite it will take  .

Oh, hey, another interesting tidbit: I assume you're all familiar with Alex Ross's Justice League piece? Well, now we have the entire bottom row of JL members along with the middle bit of the second row. Also featured are Red Tornado, Black Canary, Hawkgirl, Atom, Metamorpho, Zatanna, Elongated Man, and Shazam, who we just got a new design for via Lego Batman 3 that is different from the Comic Con version. If we get another wave like this one, well, I'm beginning to hope the Justice League movie gets delayed, too...

...Or they have waves between movies.

I hope the Javelin isn't white in the final set. Grey, silver or even some shade of blue would be far more preferable to me. It just looks odd being so white. Also the Bat-sub and Bat-mech seem like a waste. Neither of them have a great design, but at least it's a decent parts selection. Brainiacs ship is awesome though.

Just noticed something about the Grodd set. The guy in the truck looks like he had the banana's in the box on the trailer he was pulling behind his truck. Seems like a very odd way to transport banana, just saying.

I can't tell completely if that's a trailer or if it's a pickup truck bent in half by Grodd. I'm only seeing two sets of wheels, so I'm leaning towards this just being a truck bent in half.

Thank god I read this forum. I was about to buy a custom Green Arrow figure but screw that ! Now that they will produce him I will patiently wait. I have totally fallen in love with the Arrow version of his costume so I hope it looks close to that. I do kind of wish the Black Manta set came with another figure though. It looks a little bit lackluster as is. I can't help but feel that the villains look a little bit outmatched.

These look amazing! The only thing I'm less than thrilled with is having to buy a larger set with a useless Bat-mech (to be immediately dissassembled and stored away with every other worthless Bat-vehicle I've amassed) to get the invisible plane. :/

The plane itself looks glorious though! :D

That Bat-mech is absurd. I really wish the focus was on the Invisible Jet. But ew girls have cooties so WW obviously can't be the star.

It doesn't help that her intro to the Lego world was being caught by Lex Luthor. :hmpf_bad:

Bah. She was, in fact, owning Lex' mech like no one's buisness. Superman was splayed out on the pavement after a blast from the Kryptonite ray, leaving the dirty work up to Diana. She full sorted it.

That's how it went down.

I don't remember it going that way in the comic included with the sets. Speaking of which, that seems to have been done away with this wave.

That invisible jet is totally lackluster! I hope the final set looks nothing like this, because the jet seems to be just filler for the Bat-mech

It's better than the one I expected to see (which was none at all).

Given that her invisible plane hasn't been a 'thing' for many years now (it was done away with Post-Crisis, and briefly reintroduced by Byrne, only to dissapear entirely again when Luke took over the book. In the New 52, it doesn't exist at all. Steve Trevor has an 'invisible jet', but it's just military craft with cloaking tech...).

This makes me happy as all get out! It's kind of the single greatest thing the LEGO Group could have released. :D

If it's not to your liking, at the very least it introduces some key transclear parts to MOC a better plane...something that's currently impossible to do. :D

Let's be glad we got an invisible jet, than not getting one at all. Overall this is the best wave. The minifigure selection is amazing.
