TheLegoExperience Posted September 23, 2014 Posted September 23, 2014 heres two pictures i found. is it possible that these are the versions we are getting? Nope. The artist has already stated he knows nothing about the new sets coming. He took his own artistic liberties. Quote
Commissioner Gordon Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 (edited) Nope. The artist has already stated he knows nothing about the new sets coming. He took his own artistic liberties. oh, ok. so that was pointless. another thought i had, i love how the javelin looks now but i thought that it looked more like a moc than a lego set. than i realized why, it had no flickfires or spring cannons! i hope lego doesnt mess it up by putting them on. Numbuh1Nerd Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 Brickipedia is as abiut trustful as wikipedia is, it is a user edited site. Its relaiblity has really gone down since Brickimedia is going. That's an unfair comparison. Wikipedia is surprisingly reliable. Change an article and make it wrong, refresh the page two or three times, and whatever change you made will be gone and the page will be locked. Anyway, off-topic Quote
Commissioner Gordon Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 (edited) Javelin has missiles and stuff on the udenrside. in the lego set? you cant really see it from the picture. i see the flick-fire being fired now. Edited September 24, 2014 by Commissioner Gordon Quote
slugdude Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 Anyone else a little upset that the Javelin is white? I think grey with silver parts would have been better. The white gives off a NASA vibe and I'm not feeling it. Quote

Being a prelim though it's possible that won't be the final color. Quote

Hexagonical_waffles Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Seriously, why is the darkseid set more than gorilla grodd? Gorilla grodd has 5 minifigures and big fig, where as darkseid has 4 and a big fig. Grodd has a decent sized jet, a pretty large mech, and a civilian car. Darkseid has a big jet, and a pretty small build for darkseid. That's pretty much 2 1/2 builds for grodd, and 1 1/2 for darkseid Quote
YoshiBlockr Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 I agree I am more exited for the Darkseid and green lantern sets but the price for the DARKSEID one is outrageous Quote
Sam892 Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 I agree I am more exited for the Darkseid and green lantern sets but the price for the DARKSEID one is outrageous Not really when you think about A) the amount of pieces and B) the amount of new moulds in the set. It's very rare that you get so many new moulds in a set, and all of these moulds are exculsive to certain characters and can't be reused. We'll be getting Hawkman's mask, Cyborg's hair/mask, Darksieds big fig torso and I'm guessing new arms for him ( not new hands though ). That's a lot of new pieces that can only be used a couple of times and that's not counting new moulds like Hawkman's wings which can be used over and over again. Each mould costs 100000's of dollars just to make so in all honesty the set is a very good deal. Quote

The funny thing is I'm normally a massive stickler on the cost of a set and will usually wait ages for a good price before I go for it, but all those new elements listed (and the characters they relate to) have completely overruled all my normal purchase perimeters and I know as soon as this one hits the shelves I'm grabbing one! TheLegoDr Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 where did we see official prices? I thought those two sets were listed as the same MSRP. Quote
Oky Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 Anyone else a little upset that the Javelin is white? I think grey with silver parts would have been better. The white gives off a NASA vibe and I'm not feeling it. I like it the way it is. After all, it was nearly white in the TV show and Lego has been known to make things white when the source material is light gray, like they have done with every X-Wing and Snowspeeder since the first editions, so I don't think it'll change much. The only color choice that seems odd is the red on the wings. I guess they felt the need to add some more color. It's not accurate, but it looks good, so I don't mind it, although blue might have been a better choice Quote
rome00150 Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 Hey I haven't been able to come on here for a very long time so could anyone tell me the latest news please and thank you Quote
Steph 104th Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 (edited) We have received prelimanary images for next years sets. If someone would be kind enough to share the images through their Flickr stream. The prices are unknown for the sets, except for the Green Lantern set we saw at Comic Con, but we have estimates for the rest. Edited September 27, 2014 by Steph 104th Quote
orangecommander715 Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 is it just me or does it look as if the javilin can open towards the back so their is more seating for other heroes. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 is it just me or does it look as if the javilin can open towards the back so their is more seating for other heroes. It looks like there might be space for other heroes, but at the same time it doesn't. Quote
deskp Posted September 27, 2014 Posted September 27, 2014 has anyone identified the parts used on the back? i think they look pretty bad on the set. Quote
Oky Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 is it just me or does it look as if the javilin can open towards the back so their is more seating for other heroes. has anyone identified the parts used on the back? I think they look pretty bad on the set. Looks like these Technic panels to me. Looking at the reference pic I posted above, the ship should be a lot flatter at that part, so I think it's a safe bet that they used those pieces there to make it easy to open and seat some Leaguers inside. However, considering the size of the ship, it probably only fits 2, 3 figs tops (which I guess is enough for the number of heroes in the set, especially since two of them can fly). Quote
CF Mitch Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 Based on the size of the cockpit, I think that might fit two figs. And then maybe one or two more somewhere in the back, yeah... Anyway, I've recently been reading the New 52 Justice League comics and they've made me so much more psyched for the sets. I really hope Darkseid looks the way he does in the Origins volume, like in the picture someone posted a few days back (with a few Leaguers down and Flash approaching Darkseid). That pose suits him really well if you ask me. Though if they base Green Arrow's appearance after his New 52 counterpart, that'd be somewhat of a shame, I guess. Since he doesn't have a goatee and weird glasses instead of the domino mask. But hey, we're still getting Green Arrow ^^ Regards, Mitch Quote

All DC's figures I think has normal mask not glasses. Quote
CF Mitch Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 Well, not really glasses, I guess.. but I wouldn't call them masks either, not in the classic sense. More like the kind of mask you use when welding something, with glass-like material covering the eyes. That's what it seemed like to me, at least Quote
