parksroad Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 There's more than one way to make them fly. A few months ago, the kids n I were playing the John Williams' Superman theme while playing with the superhero minifigs when my daughter said she wished Wonder Woman could fly like Superman. I looked up and received a great inspiration from above. The ceiling fan. A little packaging tape, some fishing line, and a set of more than willing superhero minifigures were rigged up in no time. Before you could say, "Look! Up in the sky! It's a bird! It's a plane..." Superman, Storm, a ghost minifig, and of course, Wonder Woman; were flying in our living room at speeds fast enough to make the Earth spin backwards and reverse time. For bonus points, accelerate the speed of the ceiling fan along with the tempo shift at the beginning of the Superman Theme. You will believe a Minifigure can fly. BTW, turning off the lights and watching the glow in the dark minifigs go through their paces is a veritable hoot. This is amazing. Also I want to try it with ghost minifigs for Halloween. I wonder if my slow setting will be slow enough or if I'll inadvertently smack myself in the eye with a LEGO... Quote
CF Mitch Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 (edited) The Arrow it appears will have stubble as he does in the game and an angry face and a determined face from what I can tell. Epically he is being voiced by Steven Amell (Arrow on the TV show)in Lego Batman 3!! That makes this figure all the more precious as it is based on a Amell vocal performance. Plus coming to think of it the face is very similar to amell's with the stubble and the hair. They may have taken inspiration from that too. Yeah, I know Saw all those things myself as well To be honest, I think the LEGO version is purely New 52 as he has some stubble in there as well and if you ask me, Stephen Amell's Ollie/Arrow doesn't have that bright yellow hair Regards, Mitch Edited October 3, 2014 by CF Mitch Quote
Shib Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 I wasn't surprised at the lack of goatee. New 52 version. I think that I would be great if TLG did a version with the goatee and robin hood hat, but I can only see it happening as a comic con figure (unless DC change him in the comics and TLG stick with this setup for future waves.) Rinzler Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 Does anybody know if that TRU Batsignal promo is happening in the UK? Quote
Drock Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 Thanks, Shib. I just remember GA having the hat in Batman The Brave and the Bold cartoon not too long ago. The hood just seems odd Easy enough to fix though on the figure. Quote

The old Forrest men hat really limits the potential of the the figure though. The hooded version or the version of GA with hair gives us the chance to have a double sided face, where as the Forrest men hat version doesn't cover the back of the head removing the chance of 2 expressions. Shib Posted October 4, 2014 Posted October 4, 2014 More than anything else the hood is to match how GA generally looks in the comics now. I think if they were to use the forestmen hat the back print would ideally be hair, otherwise he'd look bald, any fleshie minifigure with a standard lego hat always looks like they are missing hair to me. Another thing that would be great would be if they have included an up hood piece as well, so GA can either have the hood up of down. Quote

I doubt they would do this just because theres no extra hood piece next to him in the set picture, but if they added this in the final stages, that would be great! It would save me having to steal the hood from my Doctor Doom anyway! Quote

Ashnflash Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 I have no idea but now I'm excited. I haven't been able to find any news on it though very odd. That picture looks legit though. Quote
Suspsy Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 I'm disappointed that GA doesn't come with a Forestmen's hat. And yeah, Cyborg would've looked better with a robotic arm. I'm going to be turning Green Lantern into John Stewart as soon as I get him. Quote
RodriskisLego Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 Since Lego made this new guns they got kinda lazy... For SW ( off-topic I know) and Cyborg they gave them these new guns and they look bad on them! Why Lego, why? Quote

I couldn't find anything about it either. Wasn't listed as showing on the Cartoon Network in the next 2 weeks. Quote
Suspsy Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 War Machine is going to be sacrificing his head. Appropriate hands from the Shredder dummy in the TMNT lair set. And for hair, it'll have to be that same slicked-back black hairpiece used for Winston from the Ghostbusters set. Lego needs to create a decent African-American hairpiece already. Quote
Numbuh1Nerd Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 That drill arm would be perfect if it was a grey. It would probably still work, anyway, though. It seems like these Ultra Agents sets are just there so we can fix the superhero line's mistakes lol Luckily the builds are crazy cool. Quote

Lego_Zebra Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Hey guys look at this... https://www.flickr.c...s-94823306@N03/ The show is called DC Comics Super Heroes Batman: Be-Leaguered, it is on Cartoon Network, Saturday October 11th at 11am. It is about the Justice League disapearing and Batman having to save them all. (Most of the websites about the show are in German) Quote

Lego_Zebra Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Can you watch it somewhere? On the Cartoon Network channel, but that's the only place for now. I don't have Cartoon Network so, hopefully they will be somewhere, where I can watch it online. Quote
