DraikNova Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 If the new Nixel, who does indeed have a very mad-sciency look about him (which would explain where the Major got his cloud-heli thing from), is Major Nixel's right hand, I think we can predict about half the jokes in that season of the TV show already. Perhaps something like from Grumpy Sparrows Toons with King Pig and Mustache Pig? Quote
DraikNova Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 I have no clue what you're talking about; I haven't see that show. Quote
Aanchir Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Sometimes I wonder if I'm the only one who knows "Major Nixel's" actual name (it's Bad Commander, in case any of you were wondering — it's mentioned in this activity book). Quote

I'm pretty sure its Major Nixel. In the Mixed Up Special. Gobba calls him Major Nixel. Quote
GoldenChi Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 (edited) I think Berp has officially replaced Teslo as my favorite overall Mixel.Just everything about Berp is perfect. On the display box that had all the toons on it.the official Maxes and mixes of series 5 and 6 are on the sides.so maybe in the coming days, clearer images of those will surface. 8BrickMario Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 (edited) Forx's eyebrows are dark grey banana pieces! Edited February 17, 2015 by 8BrickMario Quote
Bigger Fish Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 I think the purple tribe will be called the Snack Pack. Quote
Lyichir Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 (edited) I think the purple tribe will be called the Snack Pack. That's a perfect name. Now if they're named anything else I'll probably be disappointed. Edited February 18, 2015 by Lyichir Quote
TheBrickPal Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 (edited) We at the wiki have settled on either the Con Strux or Screw Crew for the construction tribe name until we get the official one. We also found the right sides of the store display boxes shown at NYTF. Gives us a a good look at the official set poses! http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/mixels/images/6/6d/Mixels_series_5_pose.png/revision/latest?cb=20150217170536 http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/mixels/images/0/0d/Mixels_series_6_pose.png/revision/latest?cb=20150217170450 Edited February 18, 2015 by Puffle Pal26 Quote
8BrickMario Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Looks like we got several of the names wrong by a few letters. It's a good thing Jinky has its name with an "i", because "Junky" could be easily misinterpreted. Those pics are good. It really shows what they look like I now can tell that Spugg is a dog (tongue and "pug" basis) and that Tungster is a lot messier looking than first pics implied. I really dislike those wings and those spiked arms are incredibly weak. Snack Pack would be a great name for the purple foodies, especially since they're a successor to the Fang Gang. I love the whole junkyard tribe (they look suitably tossed together and mechanical), and Turg is just so expressive looking. He looks just so bored and lazy! Of the new Frosticons, I might only get Snoof. For Series 6, Vaka-Waka and Berp are on my list, and perhaps Slusho and Forx. Quote
barnstench fartface Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 I really love Spugg. His cartoon design is fantastic, and the set is just as great. The trans bright orange tooth pieces also look great. All of them for the most part look nice (excluding maybe some of the Frosticons and Glorp Corp) but the tongue guys are my favorites. Quote
Kalhiki Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 They all look fantastic. Really liking Jinky and his tribe as a whole. Quote
barnstench fartface Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 ...Wait, whoa. This was probably obvious to everyone but me, but I was looking at some pictures of Vaka-Waka and I just realized that he apparently has a hole in his upper mouth. So you can put stuff there, and then you can see it in the lower mouth. (And here I was still wondering why that clear brick was there) I find that to be just the coolest thing ever. Such a great year for Mixels. Quote
TheBrickPal Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 The wiki's got some tribe names! Tongue tribe are Lixers and steampunk are Slinkers according to . We'll try to find the rest soon. Quote
8BrickMario Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 I like Lixers, and I guessed that "lick" would be part of the tribe's name. Slinkers? What does that have to do with a junkyard/scrap metal tribe? (They're not really steampunk, they're meant to look like hodgepodge mechanical beings from a junkyard. How many little kids would know what steampunk is, anyway?) Quote

8BrickMario Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 I suppose that's true (I forgot about MF and Metalbeard), but I think their concept is intended to be a junkyard scrap metal tribe. Their location would make more sense that way-they could live in a Mixel Junkyard area. I was expecting steampunk from reports, but the second I saw the Toy Fair pics, I thought "junkyard" instead. Maybe they just don't have enough gears for my idea of steampunk! They just have a sort of awkward appearance that makes them look like machines designed without the concept of aesthetics in mind (which I love, by the way!) They lack that mechanical elegance that most steampunk creations have, although Kamzo is the only asymmetrical one. Gox is probably my favorite one of them. I love that the gear turns his eye, and the arms look great. The lower body looks great too and I'd love to see the figure animated in a scuttling run. Quote
DraikNova Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 I don't know, springs (ever heard of slinkies?) sounds like an essential ingredient of steampunk to me. Quote
PenPlays Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 (edited) Slinxers? You mean as in Slinkies? I mean a slinky does look like a random coil of scrap-metal... EDIT: Ninja'd by DraikNova Edited February 18, 2015 by Penkid11 Quote
TheBrickPal Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 False alarm; the steampunk tribe is really the Clinkers (source ). Now THAT makes much more sense! Clink is the sound metal makes when it hits something. Quote
Kalhiki Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Glad it's Clinkers instead of Slinkers. Slinkers made them kinda sleazy. Quote
GoldenChi Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 The construction tribes Max combines Forx's chain and Krams feet to create a wreaking ball.... Quote
