Clone 01354 Productions Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 I don't see why anyone would care what Disney says about what is canon and what isn't. So what?? If you like the books, the video games, the comics, etc, they enjoy them, and set aside Disney's official stance on what is real SW lore and what isn't. It's all make-believe anyway, so why get so serious about it? Just continue to find joy where did before.. I love the books by Zahn, so I don't care what Disney says about them. I'll still re-read them and get as much enjoyment from the stories as I did before Disney's announcement. Exactly! And anyway, I doubt they will go back and change The Old Republic era, since they are dealing with the OT and Episode VII right now. They just de-canonized everything so to get ready for the future, but I am sure that most of the stuff will be re-canonized. I never liked EU, but if you like it, then just follow that as canon. Think of the new movies as "alternate universe" or a reboot, or just don't watch the movie. If you don't like it, you don't have to see it. In short, I am pretty sure the Hailfire Droid will be a movie based set. But rather than new Jedi, I prefer non-Droid Seperatists. There are so many missing, and a Seperatist set is exactly what could give us a Wat Tambor or a San Hill or even a Shu Mai minifig. I would love Separatists too, but this isn't the set to do it in. We need either a Geonosis or Mustafar Conference Room, where we can get all of them. Quote
Flieger Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 (edited) I would love Separatists too, but this isn't the set to do it in. We need either a Geonosis or Mustafar Conference Room, where we can get all of them. I for one agree, but the problem is that Lego may not do such a set. They favour vehicles over scenery sets and the scene on Geonosis had too little action, while Mustafar is treated like the set-up to the big duel. ... which is good, since the Mustafar council slaughtering is not what Lego should do as an action set, even though us AFOLs would like it for the minifigs. aayla-secura Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 (edited) Dont know but did someone already post that ? If not : Edit : Nevermind , prelims not allowed ._. But you can decide if you click this or not http://www.imperiumdersteine.de/index.php?/topic/41799-neu-star-wars-2015-diskussionsthread/?p=730414 Edited September 10, 2014 by aayla-secura Quote
Reevr Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Nope! Those are the first pics of the sets posted here! Those look great! Quote

rexusprime Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Anakins Custom Starfighter looks interesting Quote
saibot Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 thanks for the links. The AAT doesnt certainly look smaller, the AT-DP looks like one of the better sets. Because these are prelims hard to know if that senate commando set was those blue stormies or the clone senate commando's we got before (guess we'll never know since it was canned) Quote
namioik Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 How odd, although it's preliminary, you can see they used a rebel box art for the hailfire droid Quote
saibot Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 oh and €60 for the AT-DP, tad pricey! Quote
rexusprime Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 How odd, although it's preliminary, you can see they used a rebel box art for the hailfire droid That doesn't mean it's a rebels set Quote
Darth Punk Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Those look like OT troopers in the itt. Quote
rexusprime Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 They're actually are. And I think they will stay OT. They would have used rebels stormies if they're supposed to be rebels Quote
Mahtion Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 ^^I am a Star Wars fan. But I don't get over carried-away with tiny little details; I don't read the EU that tries to cover up the movie flaws: I just accept the flaws. But the new Rebels Stormies are bad. The clones in TCW only had very minor changes, but for the most part they looked close to the movie versions--and the same goes for the Lego minifigs. But these Stormies look odd next to my older ones: the blue is too bright, the mouth is steep (but that is excusable), the armor is too angular.....it just doesn't look right. I get the whole "Star Wars fans are never happy with anything", but most of that only applies to the die-hard fans who know what Luke's favorite color is. Fans like me, though, are bothered by the things that really contribute to the overall feels of the characters and movies. I like the blue markings on the helmet or frown face. Quote
AFOLguy1970 Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Those look like OT troopers in the itt. Not only that, but they are not the latest version of the OT stormies due to the missing legprint. Although I would still buy that set with or without leg print if they use the OT design. In the worst case scenario, this might be the first time ever I would prefer the preliminary image material over the actual product released. Quote
namioik Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 That doesn't mean it's a rebels set Hence the reason why I said preliminary -__- Quote
aayla-secura Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Guys please keep in mind that these are prelims. Maybe the stormies will change to legprinted OT Stormies? Quote
hachiroku Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 I'm glad to see that they recovered the common sense with the prices. Quote
arc Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Rebels or ot, I don't care. 4 stormies in a cheap set! Quote
rexusprime Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Hence the reason why I said preliminary -__- I'm sorry I got the sentence wrong Quote
hachiroku Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 What if the Anakin's custom starfighter is a Ep.VII set? Quote
Mahtion Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Thanks for link! Lots of stormies in the sets: ITT has 4, AtDp has 1, Ezra's speeder has 1. Then we have Shadow troopers and tons of new clones. The Skyhopper and AtDp look great. No interest in Hailfire droid or AAT. The Shadow troopers and Geonosis Clones look great and even the little walker looks good. The ITT is severely downscaled but it's a cheap way to get 4 stormies. Can't see much of Anakin's custom starfighter but looks like it could be good with the price point. Prototype TIE looks a bit bare but it's prelim. Also microfighter ATAT looks so cute. The micro ATAT, Snowspeeder, Arc 170, and Gunship are the only good ones. No interest in battle droids in Vulture droid micro or other. Quote
