CoffeeGuy Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 There are only 2 sets that catch my eye - the TIE Advanced Prototype and Anakin's Custom JSF. Both are quite expensive! The former will probably come with the Inquisitor. As for Anakin's JSF - I'm so happy that it's the Azure Angel, as I had hoped! It's highly probable given its blue colour scheme and what seems to be twin engine intakes. I do wish we got a clearer picture of it, though. Anyway - what version of Anakin do you think it will include? I don't think we've gotten any minifigs from the Tartakovsky miniseries before. I think this version Quote
TenorPenny Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 I think they all look pretty good. It'll be interesting to see how they all look finalised. Quote
Jedi-Bendu Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 That has all been said before, and is on the front page as well Also Ezra's speeder doesn't have two stormies, it only has one and a short character. Ezra is on the speeder, the short guy is next to it Ugnaught species? Look at the pic: http://forum.rebelscum.com/photogallery/data/600/pic9.jpg Stormie on the right speeder Kanan (you can tell it's him because of his ponytail) on the left speeder That means Ezra is on the left (same hairpiece as the current Ezra) Now, IF there is 1 small fig in this set.....it's Ezra. (the fig in the pic looks normal sized) Look at all the Rebels books and trailers that have been released: in the series Ezra is a kid. He's small. In the Phantom set, they released Ezra as a normal size character. Maybe they found out this size was wrong and are now correcting it? (Just like Kanan in the Wookiee set has a different haircolor than the Kanan in the Ghost set?) Quote
Phil Slender Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Most sets look good, but I can't believe I waited 14 years for an update of the AAT and then get this piece of rubbish... It was one of the sets I was really looking forward to. I've been waiting fourteen years as well too, and the AAT is definitely what I'm most excited about with this wave, but I don't think it's fair to decide it's rubbish after only seeing a low resolution preliminary picture. Especially since I'm guessing this set will need stickers to capture the look, which it clearly doesn't have yet. Quote

Flieger Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 I just realized this is a very non-canon heavy wave: Geonosis Troopers (at least the ones we see), Senate Commandos (at least the ones we see), Shadow Troopers, and Anakin's JSF. It is not unprecedented for Lego doing non-canon stuff, but four entire sets in a single wave? Even if the Senate set is cancelled, it is still a high number. Isn't it more likely that some of the prelims are not how the sets will turn out in the end or that they make a Rebels appearance? Quote
Chills Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 (edited) I'm not big into PT sets, but I was actually looking forward to seeing the AAT from this wave. However, I'm disappointed with the size. Like others have said, it looks like a slightly larger version of the micro fighters AAT. The more I look at the AT-DP, the T-16, and the IIT (I, too, am hoping for OT Stormies), the more I'm impressed. I am really looking forward to this wave. Edited September 11, 2014 by Chills Quote
Moexy Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 (edited) Stormie on the right speeder Kanan (you can tell it's him because of his ponytail) on the left speeder That means Ezra is on the left (same hairpiece as the current Ezra) To me it looks like both figures are heaving the same hearpiece (Ezra's hearstyle). It makes more sence for a speeder chase (if it is based on the part of the episode we already saw) when it is Ezra on the speederbike. Although I have to say if there is a 'shorter' person presen, TLG would have used the small legs in the prelims, which is not the case right now, so an ughnaught is missing :( I'm dissapointed about the AAT (had high holes for that one), it looks so small :( Hopefully the finished version looks better. That AT-DP looks great! I wasn't sure I would be buying anything from Rebels, but this will be a nice addition to my collection. I hope the ITT Stormtroopers are OT, if they are Rebels I will have the tendency of not buying them... Edited September 11, 2014 by Moexy Quote
Venkefedo Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 The T-16 will be a day one purchase for me, not sure about the others though. Not too much OT in this wave. I'll probably save my money for the rumoured Cloud city. There is no rumored Cloud City. There is a rumored big Death Star-esque set, and there is a new Slave I... Anything else is people around this forum connecting dots that may have nothing to do with each other. I thought the Senate Commando pack was cancelled? Well, hopefully not, it looks interesting. It's a shame there won't be any more TOR sets but the least they can do is have new figures that are suitable for TOR era customs. Shadow troopers look great as well, but once again, not sure where they came from. TFU is non-canon but they might show up in the Rebels series.. hopefully as warriors that are skilled unlike the stormtroopers, it seems... in the OT, Imperial troops were capable of quite a few things and when they missed, they may have been ordered to do so by Vader. Although that theory is still questionable when you take the Battle of Endor in mind, but I still like to think of it that way... The Senate Commandos set is canceled, but remember: this very catalog is where we first heard of it. Hulk_Smash saw the catalog, but also learned that set was canceled at the same time. I chalk up Endor to filming problems... They didn't do a great job depicting the ferocity and numbers of the savage Ewoks, nor did they even come close to depicting a "legion" of Imperial troops, unless "legion" means "a few dozen" in Palpatine-speak. Given the dead Rebels lying on the battlefield, and Leia getting shot, I imagine the stormies weren't under any "let them go" orders like on the Death Star and Cloud City. Quote
Pulp Detective Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 (edited) Well the Clone Wars series is canon so will be Rebels,so yea that makes the Geonosis Troops canon since they were on the show(I think they appeared first time on Season 2)http://guardianlv.com/2014/04/star-wars-new-media-set-as-official-canon-only/ "As of now the only canon media in the Star Wars franchise are the first six films and the animated series, Star Wars: The Clone Wars which started airing in March 2008."From the article. Difficult to see. In the Episode both Ezra and Kanan (and Zeb) are on speederbikes though. There is no rumored Cloud City. There is a rumored big Death Star-esque set, and there is a new Slave I... Anything else is people around this forum connecting dots that may have nothing to do with each other. Tell me about it. It's almost the same as people saying the Stormtroopers in Rebels should look the same as the OT ones (even though there isn't something official to prove this) Quote
Venkefedo Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Ah, but the clones depicted in the set aren't Season 2 TCW clones, they look like Phase II and Kashyyyk-style clones (I know: preliminary! But they have the Geonosis camo on them which looks a little more 'final') Quote

hjmediastudios Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Perhaps the figure in red is Sabine? I assume the one on the speeder bike is Ezra, but Sabine is brightly-colored with a short but not buzz-cut hairstyle, which would make her a good fit for the preliminary representation. Quote
Slurpifier Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 After looking at the Stormtrooper preliminary in the AT-DP and the ITT, both are different. The Stormtrooper in the AT-DP is the same looking one from 2012 , whereas the Stormtrooper's in the ITT feature the old helmet, with a Clone Trooper torso. Surely, if they were both Rebels would they not be the same? Maybe I sound like an idiot, but it's something I noticed whilst looking at the images today. Quote

Ultron Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Took them long enough to release another Tusken Raider...it's been what, like 12 years? Ridiculous. Quote
Kexikus Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 (edited) I don't think I'll buy any of those sets except for maybe the Mini AT-AT. Not that I don't like the sets but I just don't buy LEGO sets anymore, simply because I have so many other things to spend my money on. I also don't really like the Microfighter series but that one looks too cute to pass up I also really like the AT-DP and the Skyhopper. They both look great and seem to have cool minifigures (has been way too long since the last Tusken). I only hope that the womp rat will be more like those in the LEGO Star Wars games and not a simple rat. The one set I don't like is the AAT. It just looks way out of proportion to me, the base seems too small for the rest of the tank, but maybe it looks better in real life. But I guess it's fine that it is so small, since it fits with the new MTT that way. Oh and I'd never thought that we'd see Anakins Azure Angel from LEGO ever, but I really like that they finally release it, gives me hope for Ventress Givinex fighter too. Edited September 11, 2014 by Kexikus Quote
Brickdoctor Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 So the womp rat is just a normal rat??Well that's disappointing even though those are prelim pictures I hope in the final product at least it will have a new print to resemble the womp rat. There are typically no new molds in the prelims; the rat is almost certainly a placeholder part. Quote
Just The Doctor Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 If the custom starfighter is the asure angel, this could possibly mean a minifig of captain Fordo! Quote
Venkefedo Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 If the custom starfighter is the asure angel, this could possibly mean a minifig of captain Fordo! Possibly, but most likely it'll be the red astromech, battle-damaged Microseries Anakin (not the Nelvaan one), and a more Microseries-style Ventress (white eyes) Quote

Perhaps the set even includes a small Fanblade fighter. After all, 50 EUR means it is a mid-size set and the JSF can be build relatively small without looking bad. Quote
