Star Wars: Senate Commando Trooper €.16,99

That's the one! However there were rumours that the set 75088 is cancelled. Do you know if this is true?

I kinda hope it's not cancelled because I'm wondering if they are stormie senate commandos

And no, I don't think Anakin's Custom Starfighter will be Yoda Chronicles. Keep in mind that the new Yoda Chronicles are in Imperial Era, when Anakin is Darth Vader.

(I edited my post because this was getting wildly off-topic.)

But all I am saying is that TOR is so distant from the original storyline of Star Wars (not the title, the concept), that is should just be a different sci-fi series.

The ironic thing, is that TOR is more "Star Wars" than the original series. "Star Wars" was less "giant galactic conquests" and more "tiny Rebel navies engage in small skirmishes with minor Imperial fleets.". Sure, RotJ had a impressive battle at the end...until you remember that there is a whole galaxy of worlds building starships out there. A truly "impressive" battle would fill several solar systems with crusiers and heavy fighters.

TOR, on the other hand, has a huge, multi-planet galaxy-wide battle between two major armies - much more like the idea that the title "Star Wars" is supposed to invoke. Of course, it's more "Star War," but still...

OK, this is the only comment (in this thread) i will give on the subject of what is relevant to star wars. Star Wars is a Universe full of stories, the films follow the story of Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker. But the thing about star wars is, its massive its a realm where there are more stories to tell than any one film could dream to capture.

(George Lucas himself acknowledged this too) "After Star Wars was released, it became apparent that my story—however many films it took to tell—was only one of thousands that could be told about the characters who inhabit its galaxy. But these were not stories I was destined to tell. Instead they would spring from the imagination of other writers, inspired by the glimpse of a galaxy that Star Wars provided. Today it is an amazing, if unexpected, legacy of Star Wars that so many gifted writers are contributing new stories to the Saga."

so some of you may only care for Mr. Lucas' glimpse of the Universe and that's fine, enjoy it, I do. but there is so much more to Star Wars, and that's what makes it so amazing. and its in that "so much more" where the EU lives including TOR Era, and many back stories of characters from the films. Boba Fett, a fan favorite world wide, is as far as the films reveal, is a near silent Hunter wearing unique and damaged armor, and one who brings fear to the rebels, and the son of Jango a man that for all we know is just another man with similar armor as Boba Would use. that rally is all the films tell us. the CW series has opened that back story up and is Canon, so we know that he really is Mandalorian and a clone of Jango, and all the rest. but there are many people who don't like the CW or the PT and live only in the 3 films, and its a shame. we all want more stories and more adventures in the Star Wars universe, so why would any fan shun a part of it or be so willing to dismiss the stories preceding and following the films? i cant understand that logic, that's like living on an island and the only thing about the world that you love and know is what you can see from the shore and never caring or knowing what lies just past the horizon.

now all that said, we are off topic and i'd rather not continue to drift further away, if anyone feels the need to continue, i'll be more than happy to continue the discussion here --> http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=22725

With (probably) only one OT set for the January line-up, I guess that the missing exclusive set might just be an OT set, hopefully Dagobah. Last years exclusives in Germany were the Coruscant Police Dropship, Battle of Hoth and Y-wing.

I think this wave and maybe the summer wave will be the last hu-ra for a while for the past six films. Hence forth I think all produced sets will be foucouced on the Saga films, spin offs, and Rebels.

I highly doubt it. I think it would be unwise for LEGO to put all their eggs in the same basket that is Episode VII. Firstly because even though it's going to make a LOT of money even if it doesn't turn out as good as we hope simply because it's Star Wars, that doesn't mean that the fans would buy LEGO sets based on VII (kids would though). Secondly because I think a massive reason why Star Wars is so hugely popular in the AFOL community is because of nostalgia from the older movies and it would be a mistake to completely stop making sets based on the originals, or even some of the prequel material (since these movies are also becoming "old" nowadays).

Personnally I'm thinking LEGO will go for a mix of the new movies, the Original Trilogy stuff (because the new movie is trying very hard to remind us of the old ones), and possibly some more Rebels/other shows stuff if they turn out to be popular.

It is a preliminar picture but Microfighter Snowspeeder has orange markings, this means is not Luke Skywalker because Rogue Leader has gray markings so this could be Wedge. Well I hope :)

Well, snowspeeder a are generally depicted as orange, and I recall TLG made that mistake too. It could be Luke, although I hope not.

Is it just me or does it look like the hailfire droid has like 6 spring loaded shooters??

I'm sorry, but this just struck me as just a ridiculous statement...

This year's T-47, the '07 Echo Base, and the '13 Battle of Hoth all included Luke as the pilot of a grey-trimmed Snowspeeder, while the Wampa Cave set which included Zev as pilot had an orange-trimmed Snowspeeder. TLG's designers appear aware of the fact that Luke's speeder was trimmed grey.

That is true, but there could be a flashback in which Yoda or Ghost-Obi rember their friend flying one. Who knows. Anyway, its still a set that I plan to get since I dont have any of the previous Delta-7B fighters just the Eta-2, and to be true, I liked Anakins fighter from the microseries the most.

As a war(s) among the stars, TOR probably does deliver more than the movies (aside from ROTS' glimpses of multiple battlefields across the galaxy). He kinda explained that, so what he said was true... from a certain point of view.

I liked the color scheme of Anakin's fighter the best, but the design irked me. Too slapdash. Seeing Plo Koon's Lego Delta-7B, the build doesn't look as nice as Saesee Tiin's fighter (the only Lego 7B I own), but still a nice color scheme. I got both the ROTS and TCW Hasbro versions of Plo's fighters, still two of faves. If the Azure Angel set is good with the build and figures, and if there seems way to make it a regular Delta-7B, I'll happily pick it up!

Downsized unnecessary size=6 text.

I guess so  But it would be a good and cheap way to get him without creating one  Just going to have to wait and see if it's actually him.

Apologies forgot to quote you in my post!

Well I hope its true for you guys, I myself hope this will be an unseen movie variation of a clone gunner.

Also we got a very obscure X-wing and pilot (Red ten and Theron Nett) this year in the chibi line. So I also guess there is a high chance it's not Luke's.

Fordo or a new gunner, I will be happy!

I hope that if the set is from the micro series, that Anakin will not be stylized like the CW sets were. Please no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I said the same thing two pages ago and no one noticed, but glad to see someone else thinks we might be getting a new Wedge :)

I'm a big fan of the rebel pilots so am hoping for a new Wedge or even a Wes Janson. We have hope seeing as we got Theron Nett in the X-wing and he even had unique torso and leg details. Even a new generic pilot would be ok. if we get another Luke or a Zev bloody Senesca I'm not going to buy it out of principle!!
