November 25, 201410 yr Oh yeah, that was in the show to! Man, that would be great....as long as it comes with normal Stormies!
November 26, 201410 yr Well I don't think there will be a UCS falcon for the new movie. That would make no sense, as they will make more profit using the iconic vehicle for a system base set that childfans with a limited budget can buy. If they would have both sitting on the shelf at the same time... well that will be, not good for both their sales! When the UCS Falcon was on the shelves, was there not a System scale Falcon available at the same time?
November 26, 201410 yr There's also currently both system scale and UCS scale sets for that other iconic SW ship, the X-Wing. There's also a Tumbler in system scale as well as a very large UCS black version for SuperHeroes. I think if there's any ship in the SW universe that can handle both being on the shelves at the same time it's the Falcon. Besides... IF (and it's still a relatively big if) they want to put out one in promotion of Ep VII they won't just rely on a 5yr old version with old branding on the box... That's assuming 7965 will still be available then.
November 26, 201410 yr I'm pretty sure a Falcon set (or two) will be out next year alongside the release of The Force Awakens. It's an iconic ship. It's in the new movies. Heck, they've build a movieset for the interior, so there will surly be quite some scenes in the movie onboard the Falcon.
November 26, 201410 yr Agent Kallus is in the AT-DP set Oh, I know that. I was just saying how other than the AT-DP, if you get the Ghost, Phantom, TIE Prototype and Speeder Bikes, you have the whole cast of the show except for Kallus. Its just nice that LEGO was able to spread out the sets like that; makes it easier on the wallet
November 26, 201410 yr Oh yeah, that was in the show to! Man, that would be great....as long as it comes with normal Stormies! I am afraid that is not too likely but that landing craft should look awesome anyway. Edited November 26, 201410 yr by Nom Carver
November 27, 201410 yr I'm not a fan of the micro sets so I will probably pick the woodie set up. I understand the bigger sets are expensive but I like them more than the smaller ones accept if the smaller ones have unique mini figs. Sorry wookie not woodie
November 27, 201410 yr At the moment we don't know any of the summer sets. I think by about January/February next year we can expect what to get.
November 27, 201410 yr I'm currently working on building a Lego Clone Army, so new Battle Packs are always welcomed. The "Geonsis Troopers" pack could, hopefully, be as useful as the current 75035. I have bought 20 Kashyyyk Troopers sets so a little variety wouldn't hurt The only problem are those new "stud shooting" blasters I'm aware they want to give more "playing features" but those blasters look so unrealistic. I give my Clones Troopers "old fashioned" blasters as often as I can (in addition to custom heavy/special weapon) but sadly as their number increases I begin to lack "classic" blasters. Anyway, I think multiple Geonosis Troopers Battle Packs will be on my buy list I'm also interested in the Stormtroopers pack. Perfect Imperial Army builder or even "plain white" clones for some custom project, after all we can consider their armor a Phase III Clone Trooper armor
November 28, 201410 yr My sister got back from Vegas yesterday and brought my daughter the 2015 calendar.... I see there's a voucher to pick up the Han Solo Hoth Promo fig with any SW purchase through February. I know they're also doing Jor El on any purchases of DC stuff to the end of this year... Looks like there was quite a bit of stock left over!
November 28, 201410 yr Man. Looks like we will be getting a lot of new molds for the Force Awakens Subtheme in 2015.The Ball Droid, New Stormtrooper helmets, New Lightsaber Hilt, New X Wing Pilot helmet and maybe new stormtrooper blasters!
November 28, 201410 yr I really hope for a new MF-set. Are there any known differences between the ship from the OT and The Force Awakens? Still haven't bought the MF 7965, for some reason I think I should wait...
November 28, 201410 yr Ok, so now that I've watched the trailer about 6 times in a row, here are my thoughts and hopes for the new sets: Firstly, we'll likely end up with a ton of new molds: new Astromech ball droid, Stormie helmets, Daisy Ridley's headgear, the new lightsaber hilt, new X-Wing pilot helmet. Second, I think we'll see some sets based on these: The Falcon (duh), the new X-Wings, new TIEs, perhaps a set based on Daisy Ridley's speeder, and maybe whatever vehicle it is that has the Stormtroopers in it. Lastly, I'm just sooooo excited! I've never been so excited for anything before in my life! This movie can't come soon enough!!!!!
November 28, 201410 yr Saw the trailer for the Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens, it seems like we can get some really cool vehicles in sets. The new looking landspeeder, millenium falcon, x wings. Edited November 28, 201410 yr by amazingbricks
November 28, 201410 yr Are there any known differences between the ship from the OT and The Force Awakens? The most notable known difference is the round radar dish is now square, after Lando knocked it off blasting out of the second Death Star. Can get a good look at the end of the Force Awakens trailer. There's also some snaps of the falcon set photos doing the rounds online should you want a closer look. Edited November 28, 201410 yr by MrLee
November 28, 201410 yr To be honest I don't have many expectations regarding the new Star Wars trilogy (I hope I'm proved wrong, though) but if it will bring new wonderful Lego sets I'll gladly welcome it New helmet molds and new blasters would be a great addition to my many of my current projects. Anyway when should "The Force awakens" sub-genre be released? In the 2015 rumors I read around it was not mentioned, so I guess it will be in the proximity of the movie release.
November 28, 201410 yr Lastly, I'm just sooooo excited! I've never been so excited for anything before in my life! This movie can't come soon enough!!!!! Your post is exactly what I (and many other SW fans) said in 1998 after seeing the TPM trailer.....and we all know what the result in 1999 was I wish I could say I'm excited now.....but I'm not, because the trailer confirmed that some rumors are true (Boyega being a stormie and the Excalibur saber). Because of this I'm now fearing that other rumors are also true....especially a rumor that could destroy a lot of my 31+ year old love for Star Wars. (and I bet many others will be p***** as well) Ever since Abrams and especially Larry 'let's kill of a main character in RotJ' Kasdan got the job I've been fearing for the worst.......god I hope I'm wrong. And what's with the beachball R2 unit? Regarding new sets of TFA: I bet we'll see the new Falcon, the new X-Wing, Boyega's TIE, Daisy 'Kira' Ridley's speeder, maybe the green giant pig from the leaked BTS pics. I hope the summer wave will feature a new Corellian Corvette (there's one in Rebels, so who knows?), a Cikatro Vizago minifig and Cloud City, Cloud Car and Dagobah.
November 28, 201410 yr Well... wow. The trailer is tantalizing, as expected, but I still find myself an eesny bit apprehensive about the new movie. But at the same time, there's no movie I know of coming out in the next year that I'm more jonesing to see. Seeing my beloved Millennium Falcon with that rectangular antenna just feels wrong, somehow, even though I'm well aware there's a good reason for it. Hopefully I'll grow to love it in this configuration, but it's tough to imagine that even if this new trilogy is brilliant it'll ever hold as much meaning to me as the original. Ah, well. If nothing else, it pretty much guarantees new iterations of the Falcon from LEGO, though I'm sure I'll always be more interested in OT ones. When the UCS Falcon was on the shelves, was there not a System scale Falcon available at the same time? Leaving aside the point that the UCS one could also be considered "System" (but I do get what you mean), not really, no. The second Falcon with minifigures was 4504, released in 2004 and around a couple years, and it had already been gone a little while when the mighty UCS set 10179 was announced and then released in 2007. That set's last production run was in late 2009, and stock remained in the channel until around mid-2010. The next minifigure-bearing Falcon after that was 7965, released in 2011 and still available now. With the Microfighter version, the midi-scale, various minis and whatnot, there have been times when there's been more than one available at once, but 10179 was never out with another, at least with minifigures.
November 28, 201410 yr I am literally in love with the new stormies and whoever that awesome sith in the ragged robes with the epic lightsaber is. The stormtrooper guns are going to make brilliant new moulds. Bring December 2015 on, J.J. Abrams! I have faith in SW7, and although I understand many said the same of the Prequels, this has a completely new vibe to it, a blend of new and old which is bound to make great sets (and a good film too B-) I can't wait to see the leaked videos from Lego's headquarters, when the designers watch the trailer, freeze it at the astromech parthe, then shout out: "WHAT THE **** Abrams! How the hell are we going to make that, you *******?" BTW, I am the only one with reservations about the speeder Daisy Ridley is riding? It looks like something from a SW comic and would make the worst Lego set ever. Best regards, The Force lives on.
November 28, 201410 yr I'm sorry to disturb all enthusiasts but I find this new light saber ridiculous. No idea how they could even fight with it. Same thing with the ball droid. Not every new idea is a good idea. But I'm sure it will be able to transform and the ball mode is just for quick movement.
November 28, 201410 yr Like R2s third leg or eyestalk ;). I'm not a massive fan of the so called "beachball astromech" but I've gotten used to the fact that every new trilogy/TV series we get a new type of sith lightsaber. Besides, the new "lighthilt" will probably follow it's medieval use of protecting the wielder's hands and deflecting blows, meaning it likely does have an actual usable purpose. However, it's broad hilt and cumbersome appearance likely means it's owner will rely on strength and power, not agility (think Darth Vader's technique in the OT). Which, if the rumours that the sith lord is a cyborg, will probably come true. Anyone thinking about the new lightsaber colours we might get? Edited November 28, 201410 yr by Dragonlego27
November 28, 201410 yr Rarely those kind of trailers make excited but there are always exceptions.I cannot wait for the new movie and for what Lego has in store for us.After seeing the falcon I bet my money we'll get a new version of it. Edited November 28, 201410 yr by LOTR343
