Ok, WHY another Hoth set? I admit the Hoth and EchoBase sets that have been released weren't all that great, but come on: over the last say 8 years we've had 2 or 3 AT-AT's, a big EchoBase and a small EchoBase, EchoBase blast doors, the set with the snowspeeder, cave and Wampa, a loose snowspeeder, a set with a cannon, snowspeeder and Rieekan, 2 Hoth battlepacks......

........and over the same period the only Cloud City set we've had was the planet with Lobot and mini Cloud Car....and zero Dagobah sets.

Lego must hate those two locations. There isn't any other explanation.

Still: while I admit I'd take a Dagobah/Cloud City set over a new Hoth set any day I hope Lego nails it this time and releases an EchoBase set that blows the old ones away.

Because it is the best parts of the movie.. Hoth in ESB and Battle of Endor in ROTJ...One Dagobah was with X-wing, i do not think it is necessary the new one. It is true the Cloud city could be great, Lando, new Bespin Guards, new Storm Troopers, New Vader etc... I think the Empires prison cell with Black officer (with new imperial cap)Han, Leia etc.. from NH could be more interesting than Dagobahs swamp. A new AT- ST could be amazing. Or new sets based on Order 66, movie version for Ki Adi Mundi or Plo Koon, 501st Commander Cody, Bacara, Bly ...

In my opinion the new AAT is terrible, i am sad that i do not have the last one from clone wars. The rest of this wave is Great, and the summer wave will be very interesting :)

So no new Falcon, eh? That's disappointing, but it also means I can continue my Bricklink project. I've only got 1500 (expensive) parts to go, but I've been stalled waiting for news.

This is, what, the fourth Naboo Starfighter? However all the recent ones were in my dark age, I'm not mad since I do think the NS is one of the most iconic prequel ships..

However, I do hope that they're making a chrome one, looks so much better than LGB and that would really warrant another version!

The old Dagobah is from 2004....and it's just Yoda's hut.

This set is almost 11 years old, small (if you don't count the X-Wing), has a yellow Luke and has been retired for many years (almost a decade)

Why isn't it necessary to have a remake? (with the cave, swamp, etc)

I have to agree that it's ridiculous (and slightly frustrating) the amount of attention Hoth is getting in recent years. We can only hope that TLG has some pretty great plans in the works for Cloud City and Dagobah related sets eventually.

Yes! A final duel set! The emperor is the one main character I've never had in a set in all my years of collecting Star Wars. Thank god there's finally a (seemingly) cheap way to get him and hopefully the new Vader mold :sweet:

Hoth is okay...but like others have said, I want Cloud City!! As long as there's a Wampa and a Tauntaun, I'll be fine though. Don't have either of those :sceptic: I guess when you look back though, we probably should've seen the Hoth Base remake coming. We got The AT-AT and the Snowspeeder. Now the only other iconic Hoth set would be the Wampa cave and the Hoth base I was really banking on a cloud city D2C this year though before we get swept up in Episode 7 sets..

So it looks like another year without a new Cloud City, unless TLG have a Limited Edition tucked away somewhere. I was quietly hoping that the new Bespin Guard was an indication that some other sets were on the horizon, but it's not to be :cry_sad: I don't understand TLG's reluctance; surely they must realise that it would be a great seller...

While my hope remains small...

All that list implies, is no new system scale Falcon...

So, I've been thinking about what the 2015 animal is [if there is one]. From what we've seen so far, it's either an unneeded Tauntaun or wampa redesign or a verry much needed Caadu redesign. Of cause, it could be an animal in a set that hasn't been revealed yet. It seems verry likely that we'll get a wolf.

Good point Fuppylodders :classic:

There was a comment on Bricklink about 6 months ago, which said that a new Falcon was in the pipeline, so I'm still optimistic about it. I tried to find it but failed; it would be interesting to read it again if anyone knows where it is! However, considering that we've got the Slave 1 & TIE Fighter this year, I'd guess that the earliest it will appear would be in early 2016, which would link nicely with the release of Episode VII.

Good point Nexu, as they didn't give us a Womp Rat mould there must have been a plan for some other creature. I would also really like a Kaadu, I tried putting the new Gungans on the original version but it looked awful.

however, if the rumours are correct about an extra autumn SW7 2015 wave (and a smaller January 2016 wave?) the new creature mould could be included in that. First example, we might get that creature whose life sized model was leaked at the start if this year in a sandy environment. The fact Abrams is using less CGI also means Lego will have more time to plan out the sets and moulds (unlike in the Hobbit waves).

I did read rumors about a big batttle scene in TFA where the good guys used big creatures to take down the stormies, on the snow-forest planet.

Not to change the subject but are UCS releases only available at The Lego Store or do they show up at Toys R Us as well? Or anywhere else?

I believe that they're LEGO exclusives.

I can't believe Lego's willing to make an other Hoth Echo Base before Cloud City or any other set that hasn't been attempted yet such as the Geonosian Arena, Theed Palace, Mustafar Base, Jedi Temple and so on. I except this Echo Base to be very similar to the Ewok Village, which is an excellent set in my opinion, but still there's only so much you can do with Hoth. Honestly I've become very disappointed with Lego Star Wars sets over the past two years, as they seem to be highly repetitive and plagued by poor minfigure selection and inadequate designs. The only set I'm probably going to buy from the Summer Wave is the Flash Speeder.

There is a rumour of a new X-Wing set for the Summer - fingers crossed for a Biggs Darklighter minifigure.

It is guaranteed that the next generation X-Wing in SW:TFA will be a part of the Autumn 2015 / Spring 2016 waves. Hopefully we will finally get a new accurate X-Wing cockpit mold :)

As much as I'd love a new X-Wing, I doubt it will be too mind blowing. I just finished building Mike's X-Wing, and I don't think anything will beat it :) The TFA X-Wing is very exciting to me, especially since I've been trying to build one.

So, Lego is bius towards the snow? It's a conspiricy!

About the animals, a caadu seems most likely. They wouldn't redesign the Tauntaun and the wampa wouldn't be included in the Echo bace. However, I would prefer a Bantha over a Caadu. I mean, we have a Caadu and the Bantha is just as, if not more, important. I would also like a Nexu. Nexus are awesome!

Thank you very much for the set information so far, just2good! :classic:

I bet that the Final Duel set will be about the size of the Genosian Duel set (from 2013?). For sure minimum one big round window, the emperor's chair, some stairs up to it and some things to fall down. Minifigs will without doubts be Palpatine, Luke and Vader, possibly some Royal Guards and / or one of the emperor's guests. For one who can't afford the System scale DS, that's doubtless a great opportunity to get this scene. But for one who owns 10188, the set is probably needless.

A new Imperial Shuttle sounds very promising although I'd have prefered it not to be the Tyderium but a generic IS which would give us the chance to get some new black-suited Imperial Officers. Let's hope that TLG this time manages to offer us an open- and closeable gangway (at least one like in the last System scale MF).

A new Hoth Echo Base as an Exclusive?! On the one hand there are already more than enough sets located on Hoth. On the other hand the base some years ago with Luke in the tank and the small cargo elevator was really badly designed. So we still don't have a really great set which mainly concentrates of the rooms inside the base with a completely closing door, sepereated rooms with decent interior and completely new (not only redesigned) minifigures. If the new set was about the price and size of the Ewok VIllage set, than I'd have hopes that this my wish would besome true - if it was smaller, then not.

I completely agree with you, Lobot, as with the posts written down before yours!

It's completely ununderstandable why TLG doesn't want to offer us a new and much bigger and detailed CC although that many would buy it! And I'm even very angry about that.

Lego must hate those two locations (Bespin, Degobah). There isn't any other explanation.

Perhaps the problem with those two OT locations are that TLG likes to put flick fire missles on everything, everywhere. Since there are no appreciable spots to place flick fires on the shores of swampy Degobah and the curved hallways of Cloud City they will continue to be overlooked. I'm super surprised we aren't even getting a 'duel above the wind vane' set (there was such an excellent photo of that in the recent Dark Side Lego DK book). Such critical pieces of the saga and they are being left out!

Hopefully with new(er) stories taking place on Degobah (Clone Wars Lost Missions) and Bespin (upcoming Rebels) there may be a chance TLG will tackle them. Perhaps the Rebels will also visit Degobah - it's not impossible. Until then, the best way to deal with these continued disappointments is simple - build your own MOCs! The 4502 X-Wing Fighter from ten years ago has a great Yoda's hut - it's a good start. As for Cloud City, 10123 has flaws but for the only official option I'd say it's pretty good - and not super expensive to Bricklink if you ignore the large landing platform.

I hope that Naboo fighter has't gone chibi-style like the AAT did. A couple of N1 fighters next to each other would be a striking display.
