February 12, 201510 yr Correct me if I'm wrong but this looks like a new Lando face, perhaps? Isn't that Winston Zedmores face from the Ghostbusters Ecto-1 set?
February 13, 201510 yr Looking forward to seeing whether these will look good or not on Saturday, the could be very bad, or pretty good, we shall see.... (from LEGO Star Wars Press Release) ""There'll be a number of new "Constraction Sets" for kids of all ages. First you'll see Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker, both of them appearing this September, will be coming at $19.99 USD and up. More Constraction Figures will be appearing throughout the year. NOTE: Constraction (Construction + Action) figures have appeared for BIONICLE, Hero Factory, and in superhero sets in the past. This is the first time the theme has spread to Star Wars."" February 13, 201510 yr Got the new T-16 Skyhopper, and I have to say I am impressed. The build was fun, great figs, and the pilot's helmet matching Luke's training helmet on the Falcon in ANH, nice nod to OT fans. The effort put into the new Tusken Raider's head in noticeable. The two different colors of plastic so the nobs aren't just paint that rubs off in two seconds... quality. I can't help but speculate that we may see another Tusken Raider set soon... I can almost hear a bantha in the distance.... "Rrrruuuurrrrr..." (Perhaps wishful thinking...)
February 13, 201510 yr WAIT--Are the TFA sets going to be shown at Toy Fair?!?! Unlikely for the general public, or photos.
February 13, 201510 yr The wait is almost like the night before christmas. 'Twas the night before Toy Fair, and all through the thread, Not a picture had leaked, and it had gone dead. But really, the wait is unbearable. I really need to see that Endor Han and Sabine! And Tyderium.....And everything.
February 13, 201510 yr How come it’s rumored that we’ll be getting only 32 sets this year? We’ve already got 19 of them in the January wave, which leaves 13 sets; four already revealed to be OT/PT stuff and six rumored GALIDOR-like sets, a UCS TIE and an Echo Base play set, which leaves only 1 set for TFA! Unless they mean 32 sets to come from now till the end of this year, which leaves 20 blank spaces for TFA and Rebels sets to be released in June and September… how awesome would that be if it was true.
February 13, 201510 yr We have 13 sets still to come this year (excluding the GALIDOR like sets, polybags and exclusives). 19 retail sets have been released so that makes 32.
February 13, 201510 yr We won't hear anything about the TFA sets because everyone has to sign confidentiality agreements. I know this because when I went into me local toyshop the other day I asked her if she had seen them and was told she had but couldn't say anything about them.
February 13, 201510 yr I'm looking forward to seeing the final throne room tomorow and the new Vader helmet as that looks intriguing, plus the tydirium system scale set sounds cool! I'm actually very glad wer'e getting theese two this year as we haven't had a system scale Imperial Shuttle in a while nor a throne room set. Another thing, looking at the duel set image we have seen, palpatine has a different facial expression to the book. The book he has a smile and a grimace, here he has a frown and closed mouth, perhaps thats how lego will justify repackaging him with this set, making this variant exclusive? Edited February 13, 201510 yr by legofreak86
February 13, 201510 yr I just hope he doesn’t have the grimace as a double print, because I’ve just bought the book version off Bricklink, I’d be really pissed.
February 13, 201510 yr I'm hoping we get a Tusken in the Advent Calendar. It's always a good dumping ground for army builders and it sounds like it might be Tatooine themed.
February 13, 201510 yr How reliable are the rumors of a UCS Echo Base this fall? I know LEGO Star Wars rumors usually turn out to be true, but I find it so hard to believe that TLG would put out another Hoth-themed set on the heels of 2014's Snowspeeder and AT-AT, not to mention the Microfighters and the endless barrage of Hoth sets of recent years. As much as I love the Battle of Hoth, Echo Base hasn't made very good sets, in my opinion, because it is essentially an ice cave that functions as a hangar. Most Echo Base sets have had either a tauntaun or a Snowspeeder as a draw, but both have now become run-of-the-mill. What I wonder is, [AND I HAVE NO EVIDENCE WHATSOEVER, PURELY SPECULATION!] whether the UCS set this fall could actually be an AT-AT. I personally have always found that vehicle boring, but I know many have been clamoring for a UCS release. With one just having been rejected on LEGO Ideas, I feel sure that we'll get one at some point, anyway.
February 13, 201510 yr I haven't been that impressed by previous Echo Base sets either, but I think with a UCS set they could do it right. What I'm really looking for is an Echo Base that looks good from the outside. I want a shield generator and a massive ion cannon -- some physical structures for the Imperials to actually attack. Add in a hangar that can hopefully fit a snowspeeder (your're high if you think it'll fit a Millennium Falcon) with a little control room and bacta tank. Then call it a day. I think that'd be a great set. Potentially, you could land the Falcon behind the base, etc., if the hangar had an open back. I could see it being set up that way. I really hope they don't use up the set's piece count with a snowspeeder or many Imperials, since they're so easily available in other sets.

February 13, 201510 yr I just hope he doesn’t have the grimace as a double print, because I’ve just bought the book version off Bricklink, I’d be really pissed. The book version on one side has a smile, the other side has an angered gritted teeth look. I wouldn't be suprised if the throne room one has an exclusive face with a different exression to the book as its lego's way of saying, you bought the book, but this version is another one. It is a kind of cheeky cause it means collectors have to buy both set and book to get the different variants i guess. We'll find out whether this is the case tomorow i'm sure.
February 13, 201510 yr From Jedinews: LEGO CEO: Star Wars Brand Will "Stay With Us Forever" It's popularity among collectors worldwide is obviously common knowledge and continues to bring us amazing sets each and every year. With 32 new sets already planned for 2015 (with the potential for even more), LEGO Group CEO Jørgen Von Knudstorp considers the hugely-successful Star Wars brand to be a lasting fixture in the company's product line. LEGO believes the success of LEGO Star Wars as a property in its own right means the brand will “stay with us forever”. LEGO Group CEO Jørgen Von Knudstorp told ToyNews that Star Wars fit the firm’s remit for embracing licences that boast longevity. “Star Wars has been with us since 1999 and we think it will stay with us forever because LEGO Star Wars has become a brand in its own right,” said Knudstorp.
February 13, 201510 yr Looking forward to the Constraction sets. I think the best Ep 7 sets will be the ones released in January next year which is perfect timing as well because all the kids would have just finished watching the film and enjoyed all their presents and they will need a boost durng the January lull. Very likely a lot of kids will be asking for money or vouchers this Christmas.
February 13, 201510 yr Potentially, you could land the Falcon behind the base, etc., if the hangar had an open back. I could see it being set up that way. I really hope they don't use up the set's piece count with a snowspeeder or many Imperials, since they're so easily available in other sets. I agree that we don't need more Snowspeeders, Probe Droids, or God forbid, E-Web Cannons. I hadn't considered the ion cannon or shield generator...they would be two UCS-able, iconic landmarks. Good point! The rumor is based on this: <cut> So far this list is accurate. Thank you so much for taking the time to explain this! I didn't doubt the rumor, I just have some trepidation as to whether or not it will be a good use of a UCS set...and whether or not I can afford it. I suppose it does make sense, considering this year is the 35th anniversary of ESB.
February 13, 201510 yr Been out of the loop completely with Star Wars 2015, just noticed yet another 'Hoth Echo Base' set is scheduled for October... does Lego have some kind of commitment to release Hoth playsets? We get a surprising number.
February 13, 201510 yr From Jedinews: I saw this, great news and not all surprising. While many, including myself, bemoaned Disney taking over Star Wars, Disney can do something that Lucas was never going to be able to do. Ensure Star Wars in perpetuity.
