Darth Malgus Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 Rays speeder is previewed in the catalogue in a million tiny pieces... i think it wss embedded a few pages ago. Quote
jrad26 Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 A little over two months to go until we have those Lego sets and hopefully not much longer until we see some actual pictures of the sets! Quote

Dragonlego27 Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 Is the Force Awakens wave taking place of the winter wave? No, the star wars seven and constraction sets will be released in September, while its safe to assume we will also see a normal sized winter wave in January Quote
Kdapt-Preacher Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 I really wish the constraction figures came with their respective minifigures. I feel like that would be a much bigger sell to a lot of people. Everybody wants that. We would have gotten a Phase II Commander Cody figure, only ten years late... Quote
Darth Caedus Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 Everybody wants that. We would have gotten a Phase II Commander Cody figure, only ten years late... No, that'd never happen - it may make sense from a fan perspective but for Lego it'd be financial suicide. Releasing all those rare figures for a $20-and-under pricepoint would be insane. Key example from the first wave: putting a Jedi Luke and a Vader in the constraction kits would give most people no reason to purchase the Final Duel, losing Lego tons of money. If we wanted to get minifigures in the Constraction kits, the Constraction characters would have to be limited to only characters that have been done to death and are readily available in small sets. You've not been buying much lego lately, have you? Lego have been including great figures in everything from their cheapest to most expensive sets for decades. Maybe check out the DC and Marvel sets, grab yourself Carnage. Quote

In case of Vader and Luke this might be correct. However Cody is not available in any set at all, much less a high-priced set. If anything, Lego could make money, because people who would not buy the constraction figure will buy it for the Cody minifig. Grivous is available in a low-priced set. Quote
HawkLord Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 With regards to Phasma, I'm betting she won't even take off her helmet in the first movie. They'll save it as a reveal for the second or third. Which means, Lego will have a version to sell now and later. Quote
ISDAvenger Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 An R2D2 mini fig. When did they add that in? Would be nice to have him to pair with my C3PO from my CVI set. Box images for the SDCC set: Quote

Dragonlego27 Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 More pictures of Captain Phasma. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=udymde1jOwg&feature=youtu.be Phasma's helmet looks even better than it did in the images! I love it how the minifigure does slightly remind me of an original stormie. It looks like such a great minifigure I'll have to buy it. The idea of army-building white versions of this makes me so excited Quote
Werlu Ulcur Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 https://www.youtube....eature=youtu.be The guy's certain that these minifigs were stolen at the factory and still buys them AND puts a video up on YT saying so . Unbelievable. Quote
General Magma Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 The new Darth Vader is really growing on me now, and I'm starting to prefer it by far over the old one. My only problem is that I've got the older one in chrome black, which makes the new one lose points to it... Does anyone here think they may one day release a chrome version of the new Vader? I certainly hope so. Quote

With that in mind, anything is possible Quote
wilson3a10 Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 The new stormtrooper would look more awesome in pure white! Quote
jasbury Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 The guy's certain that these minifigs were stolen at the factory and still buys them AND puts a video up on YT saying so . Unbelievable. No need to get angry at the video creator. He did not steal them, and stated he had no idea how they were acquired. Being stolen from the factory is just his best guess. He purchased them from a third party and was willing to make a video to show us how the minifigure looks in person Quote
Fives Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 Anyone else notice how the R2 in the SDCC set has his dome printing slightly shifted, as if to imply his head turning? Really neat effect. Quote

Venkefedo Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 The new stormtrooper would look more awesome in pure white! ...which of course it will be. That helmet mold was made specifically for the new, average First Order stormie. It's got bumpy bits on the top and a larger 'chin' area that are only on regular stormie helmets, not present on Phasma's movie helmet. That's the reason the deco is a little 'off' for her, because the helmet mold isn't quite right for her. Quote

Darth Vader is not a rare figure--in fact, with 19 appearances, he's one of the most common in the series, and when he was in the previous Final Duel set he cost $7. Likewise, Luke's first appearance in the Jedi outfit cost $3.49, and as recently as 2012 he was in the Desert Skiff set in the Jedi suit for $25. I find it hard to believe that anyone would skip Final Duel in favor of those solely on the basis of those figures, and it certainly wouldn't apply to "most people". General Grievous was in his Wheel Bike for $25 and Jango Fett was in the Corporate Alliance Tank Droid for $20, and as P2 Cody has never appeared in a set, none of those characters--Not a single one!--are unique to expenisve sets. So give me my @#$%$ Cody minifigure! Quote

He ditches the vest & sash at the Ewok village before leaving to surrender. This is the first time we're getting Luke in this outfit (with the flap 'up' on the tunic; flap-down is already available in the Ewok Village set, of course). But the larger point still stands; major characters have often been in cheap sets. It's generally the minor characters that get tucked away in pricey sets (Piett, Bossk, Bespin Guards, Jawas, etc) Quote

Tariq j Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 Hopefully not, are Comic-Con sets known to have exclusive minifigures inside? Quote
