Honestly the sets were never the most important part to me. I love a good build, but I'd be lying if I didn't say the figs weren't my favorite part. I love a lot of these new figs: Rey, Phasma, Finn, BB-8, Stormtrooper, Rebel Pilots, imperial officers, so I'm excited! But a few of the figs are kinda bad or mediocre in my opinion but you get that with every wave.

Please remove the spoilers. Believe it or not some people don't want to know how the new Star Wars film ends. :(

Didn't want to know****

Thanks, guys.

Too late. Thanks, BrickHitHouse! :hmpf_bad:

How do people even find these things out?

The Kylo shuttle looks good to me. Kylo itself if horrendous, but I like the look of the ship.

The troop transporter looks ugly to me, not sure why everybody loves it.

But the prices, oh, the prices. They are even worst than JW. I'm not sure if I would buy any of those.

Luckily we have SuperHeroes...

Okay really? I need to find a new hobby because I am critical of something. I'm critical because I love it. My first lego set was the original x wing from 1999 and it's still my favorite. I have been in this hobby sense the beginning. I actually have every single set from the line both the good and the bad because I love the line and each is unique in it's own way.

I like many other people here are disappointed in certain attributes of the sets. There seems to be far more praise than criticism and I'm a critic. There's nothing wrong with that.

I as well as other people here just expect more from the set designs and the figures. It's amazing to see how far the license has come since 1999 but at the same time there are certain things that they haven't learned to do right in 16 years that many AFOLs have. I understand these are children's toys first and foremost. Yes, I truly do. I actually have other hobbies than this that I take more seriously and rightfully so. However, when the prices keep increasing my expectations do as well.

I'm not mad, just want to be understood.

You sound mad bruh. Like I said, some posters need a new hobby.

Same thing every year. "Omg cant wait to see the sets, they are going to be awesome!". Then when we get pics "these suck, too expensive' not movie accurate". Blah blah blah.

Love the sets, they all look great! I'm not 100% sold on the Snowspeeder and the Shuttle but maybe seeing them close up will change my mind.

Also anyone notice in the TIE box picture of the First Order Crew figure shooting at the ground? Probably can't see a damn thing out of his ridiculous helmet

This is pretty much what the community acts like. I'm surprised they haven't burned the LEGO factory down because BB-8 doesn't roll. :P

Coming out of hiberation to comment on these sets!

On a completely unrelated note, the marked lack of interesting "new" designs makes me think The Force Awakens is going to be rather light on new vehicles. Seems like VERY subtle changes from OT designs and a handful of meh-tacular new ones. Oh well, I'm still excited.

TIE/X-Wing - as familiar as these are, I actually love these new builds. They're so compact and aesthetic. Probably won't be buying them due to cost, but I still like them.

Falcon - meh

Transporter - Flametroopers are dope, but I don't find this terribly interesting. Maybe if I was more of a minifig collector?

Snowspeeder - if I didn't KNOW this was Star Wars, I wouldn't think it was. Meh/10

Command Shuttle - It's growing on me but I'm still on the fence. The design is kind of wonkey (no fault on LEGO there - it's kind of a bizarre look to begin with) and the bley doesn't do it any favors. But at least it has a distinct shape, unlike the other TFA designs. That Kylo Ren figure is a freaking travesty though. I love Kylo's movie costume but this looks nothing like him. 6/10

Speeder - Pretty cool actually, even if the movie design isn't terribly interesting. I like the Rey figure. Might actually get this.

All in all, not bad. It's making me excited to see the movie!

yeah weird it's almost like Eurobricks is made of more than one person smh

EDIT: MORE PICTURES FOLKS!!

Many have noted that Kylo could also have his mask printed on his head, for the hooded look (and possibly a face on the other side, even if it doesn't seem to include hair for him or Hux). Doesn't matter a bit that the hooded & helmeted look is "iconic" and used on the packaging; we've seen less than a minute of footage featuring Kylo. For all we know, he keeps the hood down half the time!

As for the saber, it's a bit disappointing, but the alternatives are limited. A new hilt with raised bits on one end that sheath more of the main blade, masking where the crossbeam on the current new element is, probably wouldn't meet Lego structural standards and be fragile. The option others suggested, having the little blades molded to a new hilt element, would present other problems because either the entire element would be trans-red with the hilt part painted, or the dark silver color with the blades painted opaque red. Maybe they could fuse two different color plastics together, but whatever solution they had you'd be left with a pretty limited element. They've made other limited elements of course, just saying it's not ideal.

Still, getting a dark silver hilt (probably with an extra, too!) is pretty nice

Rey's Speeder

Love the colour and greebling on this. I didn't think the vehicle itself was all that appealling in the trailers but as a Lego set it looks very nice.

First Order Snowspeeder

Probably the least exciting set but still nice in its own right. I think they did a nice job on the angles and implementing the stud launchers on this one.

TIE Fighter

I LOVE this set! Lego took the best from the previous TIE Fighter and the Inquisitor's and perfected the design here. Almost makes me want to see another Imperial version in the near future. Nice to get a bit of diversity with the First Order Officer, even though the hate does look a little goofy compared to the Imperial Officers.

First Order Transporter

Love the design of this ship and the way the front opens up. Looks like the tower can be opened from the back and used as the cockpit. Phasma looks perfect with her cape and the new Stormtroopers are great too. Nice touch with the Flametroopers backpacks and giving some individuality to the Resistance Soldiers. The female looks an awful lot like Toryn Farr in the Echo Base video on Lego's website.

Kylo Ren's Shuttle

Looks so much better now that we've seen proper pictures of it. My favourite part is definitely the extendable wings. Makes the set much more shelf-friendly. Nice mask piece for Kylo Ren. The cape looks a little short though. I just noticed the First Order Officer is a woman, and an older one at that. Love the diversity we're getting here.

Overall looks like a fantastic wave. I'm really impressed how these turned out. Its a little disapointing there's no Luke or Leia in the wave but its understandable that they'd want to avoid spoilers these early before the film's release. Hopefully they'll both show up in the January wave.

I love Finns hair piece. A little disappointed in Kylo Ren's head piece. I love Rey and captain phasma, those are my favorite minifigures. That new cross bow piece looks better now. Those prices are making me not want to buy these sets.

They use that on all the marketing material for a reason. it looks cooler! we want cool looking lego figs.

it should be noted we have seen him from several sequences.. always with the hood on.

The diversity is nice! As for Kylo's cape, it's supposed to be short! It's a short, tattered thing in the actual costume, not a Vader-like long cape.

"Three" is not "several". We've seen him in the fiery, flametrooper-filled scene from the teasers and the EW images, the snowy woods scene from the first teaser, and landing on the snowy planet (where the First Order base seems to be) in the Behind The Scenes video. Or did I forget others? I might've.

There's also the Vanity Fair photo again in the snow, with no hood and no helmet.

I think he looks pretty cool even without the hood. Maul had more than one look; Kylo can too. They included the hood in the set for a reason, we just haven't seen the figure with it yet.

I'm not sold on these Episode 7 designs, or their lego counterparts. I've become kinda obsessed with designing my own X-WIng, but this one does nothing for me. The cockpit is nice, but I want to see how it'd look and an OT X-Wing. Otherwise, I really don't like the design. The wings are just sloppy. They don't even line up when folded. I know firsthand it'd be difficult but come on. I don't want to hate too much more, but I do really like the TIE. It'd look especially good in all black, but so be it. As for prices... they may deter me from buying some of these. Maybe some sales will come along. In my eyes, the best thing to come out today was Speed of Light.

I love the sets because of there originality, but I'm hoping the sets in Jan. Have Kylo and Phasma in cheaper sets, because these prices are incredibly steep, and for all the other countries where the prices are worth my thoughts go out to your wallets.

Transport Is for sure my favorite though. Looks like something from Mega Man Legends, just all in grey. Love love love Phasma!

And of course like I said early still disappointed in Kylo, but that is just my opinion.

Wow, my thoughts on Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle just completely changed. It looked pretty bad in that leaked photo, but it looks much better here. The more compact look it has with the wings retracted really makes it look like a better model. I'm not as disappointed with the Kylo figure as others are, but I do wish they went about him differently. A hood/helmet combination like Antimatter from Ultra Agents would have been perfect. That way, we could have had him unmasked with his actual face as well. I guess there'll be plenty of chances for that in the future though.

I'm also impressed with the number of female figures in the sets. Not that gender diversity in LEGO sets ever concerned me, but Star Wars has always had an extremely unbalanced ratio. Getting not only Rey and Phasma but also two generic females (the Resistance Soldier and the First Order Officer) in these sets is a welcomed change.

Can someone help me? I'm partially colorblind and I can't tell if Rey's speeder is Dark Red accented with Light Brown or Light brown accented with Dark Brown.

It looks dark red with a reddish-brown seat to me.

Dark red, orange and dark orange bits, reddish brown seat.
