August 16, 20159 yr Yeah, I think there was some confusion there. I'm guessing Rayskull thought I was talking about the vertical extension showed on the box, not about the "tilted outward" function. However, if LEGO managed to make the wings to both extend and tilt outward, I'll be very impressed by the design. Ya, same here. The tilt function, if left out, would be a bit irksome for that kind of money. Nothing a mod couldn't fix, but damn.... Edited August 16, 20159 yr by lowlead
August 16, 20159 yr That transporter costing $90 is a little bit expensive than I expected. But it may be wrong until the play feature of this set is revealed. Agreed. I almost wish they had made it smaller to be around $60 USD so that I could potentially get two of them. I really don't think it's worth more than Poe's X-Wing, but I guess we'll see. That Phasma figure is a must have, though.
August 16, 20159 yr *snip* You are aware that LEGO is in the first place a childrens toy...right? Yes I am (as even I was a child once playing with Lego ☺). However as the first MF was from the UCS series (which hardly qualifies anymore as being childs 'toys') one would expect to see an updated version as the new movie is on the horizon. Similar to the X-wing last year.

Similar to the X-wing last year. Actually, the 2007 UCS Falcon was the fourth Falcon ever released in LEGO form (2 set size, 1 mini). Besides that, it is completely logical LEGO releases a set sized Falcon right before the movie instead of a UCS one as LEGO is a company that mainly sells toys for kids.

AFOLs can't all afford a $500 set either. $150 is a real stretch as is, and just about everyone who sees the film will want the Falcon. I myself would much rather have a "kid" version of the Falcon that's more or less in scale with the other sets rather than an uber-detailed version that doesn't fit. Looking at the eBay prices these days I don't think many will be bought for children... That I can understand. I feel like they should have just kept the old UCS Falcon around like they did the Death Star.
August 16, 20159 yr I like how the detailing is on the falcon, looks old and withered. About the price, it says 165 euros on brickpedia, which is 183 dollars. Almost as much as the Slave I.
August 16, 20159 yr Grievous was the one construction thingy I like then I saw what they are charging for him over here and I said nope,I'll put that money towards the MF. The price for him is pretty good here in my country, exactly what I'm willing to pay for such a huge, detailed and poseable figure.
August 16, 20159 yr Do we not know what the prices are? Because I have the price of what they are this side and I'm happy to covert using previous pricing.
August 16, 20159 yr Ya, same here. The tilt function, if left out, would be a bit irksome for that kind of money. Nothing a mod couldn't fix, but damn.... I believe the tilt function is included as well as the extension function. What puzzles me though, is that the wings don't extend downwards from the fuselage in the trailer, in the Lego model they do extend quite a bit. Even so much, they are folded inwards for landing. Or did we had that discussion already? If so, I'm sorry, as I just noticed. And on the more philosophical point on collecting LSW sets: It's always great when a new theme comes out and gives us the impression we could collect them all, only to find out in 10 years we will have 1 UCS and already 3 slightly redesigned models of Kylos Shuttle, not including all the mini models and minifigure redesigns etc. But right now, it gives you the warm and innocent feeling you can make it and collect 'em all!
August 16, 20159 yr TLG has requested that all registered LUGs and online communities take the photos, set numbers, and set names down.
August 16, 20159 yr I might just get the new Falcon secondhand. There's no way I'd pay more than 130$ for a Lego set.
August 16, 20159 yr Even the set names?! Yup. Even set numbers and names. Embargo ends September 4th.
August 16, 20159 yr TLG has requested that all registered LUGs and online communities take the photos, set numbers, and set names down. seriously what's the point? People have already seen photos, and set names and piece count have been circulating online for a while now. They probably had a NDA with Disney , but " damage" is already done. Why not release official pics and get it over with is beyond me.

And here I thought EuroBricks was one of the few places where leaks are acceptable.
August 16, 20159 yr This is no leaks. This is official pictures of official products which are going to be sold in only 2 (two !) weeks...
August 16, 20159 yr Even though we've known the set names for months? I know they're trying to keep the film under wraps, but this is sort of ridiculous...
August 16, 20159 yr This is no leaks. This is official pictures of official products which are going to be sold in only 2 (two !) weeks... Agreed. I just shared what TLG requested - it's up to each LUG and site to decide whether to comply or not.
August 16, 20159 yr Yikes, these prices are spicy. £70 for an X-Wing? £60 for a Tie Fighter? It's a real shame, as I'm desperate for those two and the MF, but that is just totally unjustifiable.
August 16, 20159 yr To help pricing wise here is what they are going to cost here http://shop.kiddiwinks.co.za/themes/legostarwars?page=5 The prices are the same on the other sites I shop at so this is it for over here, now usually we pay between 13-18 times more than the dollar, which looks to support a 150 price point for the MF.
August 16, 20159 yr TLG has requested that all registered LUGs and online communities take the photos, set numbers, and set names down. That's very strange. I know that Disney likes to keep a stranglehold on their rumors and products, but these are official pictures and came out only two weeks before the sets are going to. There aren't even any big spoilers in the sets, and if there were, what's the difference between getting spoilers in mid-August rather than early September for a movie that comes out in December? These sets look good but some of them aren't worth the hefty price tag (Tie fighter and Transporter, I'm looking at you). I'll probably get the Snow Speeder, Rey's Speeder and Kylo Ren's Shuttle.
