S.I Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 I just want a TIE Interceptor, System-scale (I know someone mentioned you could make a passable one with the most recent TIE itself, but a new one wouldn't hurt, and would--hopefully--give us more fun figures like the last TIE!) I want a set that contains pieces for either a tie interceptor, bomber, or advanced. That way its still just one set but you can buy multiples if you want multiple models. I never managed to get the last Tie Fighter, as at first it was in my mini Dark Age where I stopped getting any Lego, then I focused on LOTR and the Hobbit sets, meaning I missed out on a couple of sets which are now far above the standard price, such as the Tie and Palpatines arrest. Stores here in Germany still have plenty of TIEs. Has it really been discontinued a year? Quote
Fives Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 New news regarding 2015 sets: In september 2015 LEGO and DK will release this book: LEGO Star Wars Rebels Unite! (September 2015, Dorling Kindersley, 9780241186824) I bet it'll come with an exclusive minifig....the big question is: which character? Honestly, I'd love to see a Bail Organa fig, and his appearance in Rebels could easily allow that. Quote
Robianco Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 ^Agreed. I really like that idea. I hope it's something like that rather than Sabine with her helmet! Quote
Fives Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 ^Agreed. I really like that idea. I hope it's something like that rather than Sabine with her helmet! Although, we will need that friggin awesome helmet at some point! Quote

I really like that idea. I hope it's something like that rather than Sabine with her helmet! Looking at figs from previous Lego books: Luke with medal; a fig that had been done several times, but now with a new torso Han with medal; same as Luke yellow Tatooine Luke: a needless re-issue of a yellow fig the Emperor: new version of a fig that had been in some sets Even though the release is +-10 months from now.....I bet it'll be an Ezra or Kanan minifig.....slightly different than the current ones of course. That way its still just one set but you can buy multiples if you want multiple models. Hmm... a Star Wars 3-in-1 "Creator"-ish set maybe? Tho it'd have a lot of unused parts, I imagine, for the squint & advanced models. But throw in a pilot, Baron Fel, and Vader and some red stripes to add to the squint, and I'd be all over that. I also like the idea of Bail as the book figure! He won't be full-on ROTS style (unless he puts in another appearance this season, but in a different outfit than Droids in Distress), but might still help boost sales from some movie fans... ...but Jedi-Bendu has a good point. Could simply be Cadet Ezra, with or without the helmet (the figs usually don't have extra accessories, so maybe without... "buy the Phantom to get his helmet!", Lego will say) Quote
Darth Malgus Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 I wouldn't mind a holographic figure, they seem to have got it reasonably well done in the Chima line, perhaps its time to roll one out in the SW theme now... I don't count Jek's arm. Quote
TWP Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 By the way, while everyone seems to be ranting about the Geonosis troopers clones saying they are random and made up, they actually did appear in a few Clone Wars episodes on Geonosis, such as Droid factory, Landing at point Ran etcetera. Though as far I can tell those were only the "scout/ARF-helmet troopers". But that's the same with the Kasshyyyk troopers too and I heard nobody complaining about that. Quote

Though as far I can tell those were only the "scout/ARF-helmet troopers". But that's the same with the Kasshyyyk troopers too and I heard nobody complaining about that. The Geonosis eps of TCW were while the clones were still in "Phase I", I think... there were "Galactic Marine"-esque flamethrower clones, ARF troopers... but no Airborne or Phase II regular troopers. With the Kashyyyk set, the "scout" Kashyyyk troopers were present in the film, while the camo-colored Phase II troops just sorta 'fit' by being sort of a midpoint between the 'scouts' and Commander Gree; very little was seen of the battle, after all; who knows what was riding around inside the Turbo Tanks or on other battlefronts on the planet? The Geos, tho, are a year or two out of step with the ones actually depicted in the show, presumably long after the war had moved on from Geonosis. Semi-related note: I love ROTJ Biker Scout helmets, but despise the Kashyyyk "scout" helmets. The proportions and aesthetics are completely out of whack, and it's evident in the Lego version as well... I mean, it's a nice sculpt, but the 'lens' of the visor is printed sooooo high, because of the movie's screwy proportions! I do wonder what the helmet would look like in white, with a black visor & details printed on, as an ROTJ scout, but I'm not sure the Lego proportions would work. The old ROTJ helmet mold needs to be retired, tho, or improved with some printing. Quote
Clone 01354 Productions Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 ^I realized that ROTJ helmets need a completely new mold, different even from the ROTS mold. Look at the helmets, and you'll see that the breathing filters, mouth, and the visor are completely different. Quote
Sir von Lego Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 I can only hope that the next UCS (after Slave I, TIE and Millenium Falcon?) will be The AT-AT from LEGO ideas. This vehicle REALLY needs an UCS to represent it!! Greetings. Hendrik Quote

The-Nexu Posted November 14, 2014 Posted November 14, 2014 This is lego we're talking about. They won't give us a bail organa, they'll give us a esra or another main character with a fancy outfit. They might give us a new type of trooper but they will probably waight two years and then give us a Bail in a 50 pound set. And this is 2014, lego hasn't made a interchangeable star wars set in years that I am awair of. Quote

GuyDudeMan27 Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 Well, it looks like whoever it is has a vey rounded head. When you compare it to jango's it looks pretty similar. Quote
commdr_neyo Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 The image for the new character encyclopaedia just came out and I'd say the exclusive figure is Sabine with helmet I think it could be ant figure at all.. the Luke for example had almost the exact same shape.. Quote
Robianco Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 I wouldn't really take anything by that shape. Whoever it is it I hope it's not another classic yellow variant! Quote
Jedi-Bendu Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 Looking at the shape it seems to me that something extra is included on the left. Could be a helmet. I know 1 thing for sure: it isn't the Rancor. Or the Wampa. Quote
The-Nexu Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 It's not the Rancor or the Wampa? Oh, well. Maybe they'll make a Nexu next year. Quote
Legoman123 Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 I've just been on the first page of this topic and the last set is a set rumoured to have 3000-5000 pieces. I haven't actually visited this topic in a while so have I missed something? Quote

There's just the rumour a very large set will come out, a UCS, just like every year, and the guess is it contains between 3000-5000 pieces. Rumours are it's a Tie. Quote

Way back a couple of people said Lego store branch managers mentioned a "death star sized" lego star wars set, explicitly not the Slave I. This was also before the Slave I had officially been revealed or leaked. Quote
