ResIpsaLoquitur Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 So Episode VII comes out next December, and I imagine the Episode VII Lego sets will be released a few weeks before that (just in time for Christmas, yay!). That's usually when the annual Advent Calendar comes out, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's Episode VII themed as well. I hope it's NOT, because we could still have one more year of an OT/PT themed calendar. We haven't nearly gotten all of the microbuilds we could yet, nor have they made every possible Lego Santa yet. So, last chance--what do you want to see in next year's calendar if it's not Episode VII themed? Me, I would like: Minifigures: - A Santa Greivous or Obi-Wan. - Jawas bearing gifts (like in that one Lucasfilm Christmas card). - A Stormtrooper. We've gotten every other type of Clone/Trooper except a conventional Stormie. - More Episode III guys, like a Clone Pilot or a Wookiee. Microbuilds: - A B-Wing. - Some Episode III craft, like the Jedi Interceptor or the ARC fighter. (These might be hard to do in Micro scale.) - A Sandcrawlwer. A good one, not like that tiny MTT that looked terrible. How about you? We only have 13 months until the next calendar can be opened.... Quote
Blondie-Wan Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 I might be the only one who'd be fine with (and indeed, find entirely appropriate) a whole calendar themed around The Star Wars Holiday Special. Not that I expect it to ever happen... Things (well, minifigures, mainly) I'd really, really love to see in an Advent Calendar (principally because I want them, and find it unlikely we'll get most of them in sets otherwise): Beru Lars C-3PO (chromed, with current print design) Biggs Darklighter (Academy Cadet outfit from deleted scenes) Zuckuss 4-LOM Jaxxon ... and/or the requisite "army builder" types: Cloud City Security Guard Jawa Imperial officer Mon Calamari Rebel officer / technician Quote

Even if it is rumor/wish list Quote

rollermonkey Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 Since the Advent calendar comes out in September, there's a pretty good chance that it won't have anything VII related in it. Quote
ResIpsaLoquitur Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 Right, it possibly won't. Next year could be the last OT/PT calendar for awhile. Oh, and it needs a Tusken. Maybe it could be an Episode IV-heavy calendar with Owen and Beru with cookies and blue milk for Santa Obi-Wan, and a green moisture vaporator tree. And the microbuilds could be the sandcrawler, a T-16 skyhopper, and...shoot, I don't know what other major EpIV vehicles could be microbuilds. We're getting something specific to EpIV this year... I'd get at least 2 for Zuckuss, 4-LOM and Beru alone. Quote
Robianco Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 (edited) It's pointless speculating on advert calendars like this especially one that may contain some of the most asked-for figures in the OT. Some of these figures could sell a set on their own so they're not getting added to an advent calendar. We had the protocol droid from the Sandcrawler and someone who was basically Momaw Nadon from the cantina added to a Yoda Chronicles set to help sell it and they were far less enticing than the bounty hunters. Nice idea but we may as well as for a Cloud City calendar set with cloud car pilots and updated figures from 10123... ...and besides... I'm assuming there aren't any rumours about this actually happening? Edited December 2, 2014 by Robianco Quote
Savage Oppress Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 for next year's advent calendar, I am predicting 20 battle droids and 4 ships. Quote
Slurpifier Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 I hope I'm not the only one asking this; why doesn't Lego continue the Micro Fighters line into the summer? My local toy shops (both of them) are clean out, and both still are selling Planet Sets (under the tagline 'stocking fillers') at £4.99! Quote

Venkefedo Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 I think Slurpifier is wondering why they don't have 2 waves of MFs per year. I'm wondering the same; I mean, they could change their policy by Summer 2015, but the idea of sitting thru a full year of AT-ATs, ARC-170s, Gunships, Vulture Droids, Snowspeeders, and Spider Droids isn't very appealing to me, not when I'm itching to see Sandcrawlers, A-wings, B-wings, Y-wings, E-wings, Desert Skiffs, Landspeeders, Imperial Shuttles, the Moldy Crow, the Ebon Hawk, the Mynock, TIE Predators, TIE Bombers, TIE Fighters, TIE Defenders, the Rogue Shadow, Wedge's X-wing, Jaina Solo's X-wing, the Virago, the Outrider, TOR ships, etc. I got my fill of this year's MFs several months ago, tho whenever I see a sale (like Target's current MF Star Destroyer discount) I kinda wanna scoop up a bunch. But mostly, I've been done for ages, and would've loved to see the 2015 Winter batch on the shelves a few months ago instead. Quote
Slurpifier Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 Sorry it wasn't worded properly, Venkefedo got it spot on! More waves a year would be nice! I also got the whole 2014 wave a few weeks after they hit the stores, and if possible army built the CTT. Yes, the Planet Sets are discounted, probably due to them under the tagline of 'Stocking Filler' Quote
Cyberfounder Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 I did not like that teaser trailer one bit, I almost thought it was fake. I hope we do get to see some more material real soon, because this was a little disappointing. We only saw old stuff being recycled, not that its a bad thing, but I would have expected more. More remakes of the MF and X-wing coming up these next years! Quote
pcsguy88 Posted December 3, 2014 Posted December 3, 2014 (edited) For those that want the spoilers, they were posted on my forum by another member yesterday. Apparently they have been taken down at the original sites, so that is a pretty good clue they are real. The concept art certainly leads me to believe them. http://www.fighting1...18-post231.html I finally hopped on the Lego Star Wars bandwagon this fall after years of resistance. My love is all things walker based and hope Ep VII gives us some new designs like the coming Rebels DP. Wish that set was out already. What is considered the best AT-ST? Is there one as rigid as the newest AT-AT or AT-AP? Edited December 3, 2014 by pcsguy88 Quote

atlas Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 The leaks that are currently circulating are fabricated. The photos of the 'script', aside from being terribly written, clearly show that the text layer has been imposed onto the background rather than just scanned. The guy had a good run but they ran themselves into a dead end with the amount of information they were trying to create and 'leak'. ' Quote
montgocloud Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 What is considered the best AT-ST? Is there one as rigid as the newest AT-AT or AT-AP? I think it's pretty unanimous that the AT-ST included in the Battle of Endor set is the best. With a couple of very simple mods, the cockpit can fit two and the gear arrangement on the "walking" feature can be turned into a head-turning feature (or the gears can be taken out completely). Quote
nrg Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 (edited) 4-LOM must be in a regular retail set (becouse of his head piece), probably in a next summer set and the only optimal set for him is the Cloud City. Even if we not gettin a big exclusive CC we can enjoy it in a smaller ~110$ size, and there is still place for a ~130$ Tantive IV and a ~90$ Imperial Freighter. Edited December 4, 2014 by nrg Quote

Clone 01354 Productions Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 (edited) Actually, classic TIEs were white/grey in ANH, then blue/grey in TESB, and then blue in ROTJ.
