I don't like bein' disappointed. Not one bit. If it happens I wonder if it will be sufficiently different to 10179 to tempt me? 10240 certainly succeeded! I suspect a new UCS Falcon would likely have a smaller piece count and be more a playset with a UCS like exterior (similar to 75059) than replicate the dedicated accuracy of 10179... Quote
Lobot Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 I'm quietly hoping for a slightly modified 10179, with a partial interior, possibly up to about 6000 parts. Now that the SSD has been retired, there's a void in the SW line-up that needs filling with something really big! With Episode VII out next year it's a great opportunity for TLG to attract lots of OT fans, and if it was limited to 20-25,000 units it's bound to do well. Time will tell..... Quote

I think if/when we get a new UCS Falcon, it will be wildly amusing to hear the AFOL howls of outrage when they finally figure out that a new Ep VII based UCS MF will not have in fact have that Holy Grail of pieces the obscenely expensive printed radar dish. Remember it got knocked off in RotJ? Well it's been replaced with a big spare radar by ep VII. Upgrades! Or rather to quote Yogurt... Quote
Darth Punk Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 An Ep. vii flame thrower would be awesome! Quote

For something that size/price, they would do well to include both. Kinda like the DeLorean had all the parts to make any of the 3 variants from the 3 BTTF films. Darth Malgus Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 It would be good if that was the case, only reason i want the Ep 7 version is that I don't think I can handle another Luke, Han, Leia or Chewie. Quote

Infernum Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 Wow! That helmet looks great! And the shoulder pads aren't too shabby either! Quote
GuyDudeMan27 Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 That visor looks amazing! Everything else looks really good too. What exactly will happen on Friday? Quote

Darth Malgus Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 That is one cool minifig. Thanks J2G for the pic Quote
montgocloud Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 Now that's a great fig. The eyes are clearly visible behind the red visor too! Correct helmet proportions, it's a miracle. Also, I can now see the crack between the torso armor and the helmet. It's definitely two separate parts. Quote

hjmediastudios Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 Does anyone know what the projected release date for the 2015 winter wave is? I'm hoping it's not like last year, where U.S. customers had to wait until March... Quote
Kodan Black Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 Who dat? Who dat? IN-QU-I (Friday afternoon EST? Maybe?) Ok, so ... what set is that from so I can keep an eye out to buy it? I like that and I'm definitely grabbing an Inquisitor. Quote

I'm hoping it's not like last year, where U.S. customers had to wait until March... pretty sure it's January, if I remember correctly things we're only delayed this year because of the lego movie. hjmediastudios Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 pretty sure it's January, if I remember correctly things we're only delayed this year because of the lego movie. Awesome! I'll be up on New Years' to go hog-wild, unless the rumors of a January 5th double-VIP points promotion are true. In which case I'll probably go hog-wild then, then turn around and use the VIP points to continue buying up ITTs. Quote
Lobot Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 The double VIP points on 5th January are only available if you made a purchase on 22nd November (pre-Brick Friday sales). As far as I'm aware it covers most of Europe, but I'm not sure about the US..... Quote
Schneeds Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 US just got an email for double VIP on December 14, so you guys got the better deal :) (assuming they're still in stock Jan 5 ;) Quote
Pulp Detective Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 That helmet looks even more detailed than I expected. Hey J2G,how many new 2015 sets have you found in store?Btw thanks for sharing this picture. Quote
just2good Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 Alright, so I did get the TIE Prototype from Toys"R"Us' site, and here's a look at it! Honestly, I'm not a Star Wars expert or LEGO Star Wars expert, and this is my first set that I got from the theme at full price in a while (I guess besides the latest Advent). And, I am really satisfied with it. The Inquisitor minifigures is phenomenal- they went all out to portray the complex look of the character, with THREE new moulds exclusive to him! The other two minifigures, who are new for 2015, are well done as well. The build itself is a nice one. I really like the missile shooting function by swaying the platform of the ship, and the design is reminiscent of Vader's TIE- a vehicle we haven't had for a while. This is the only I have so far. Quote
Robianco Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 That set has just cemented it's place in my January 5th Lego splurge! The Inquisitor figure looks fantastic... as do the others (I can't really get excited about another Tie Pilot though). The TIE Prototype looks fantastic though! Quote
