Kodan Black Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 (edited) Nevermind, $40 for the set. Will probably pick this up in Feb so I can get my exclusive Han on Hoth fig at the same time. Amazon lists it as a Jan 1 availability. Edited December 12, 2014 by Kodan Black Quote
Cyberfounder Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 When can we expect these new sets to hit the lego stores? Quote
namioik Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 When can we expect these new sets to hit the lego stores? January 1st for sure. A few days after Christmas if you're lucky Quote
wyrm12 Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 Alright, so I did get the TIE Prototype from Toys"R"Us' site, and here's a look at it! Thanks for all the details. The Inquisitor looks AMAZING. Possibly the best dark side user mini-fig ever! Quote
deskp Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 (edited) Inquisitors mouth should be serious and collected, and I think his armor is chunky. Looks like he inflated it. Edited December 12, 2014 by deskp Quote
will Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 But disappointed that the Tie pilot/guy doesn't have leg printing!? Hopefully they are prototypes. Looks like a good set though! Quote
Venkefedo Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 Inquisitors mouth should be serious and collected, and I think his armor is chunky. Looks like he inflated it. I like it, it shows off the quirky expressions (and Pau'an teeth) he adopts when taunting his enemies. As for the armor, it's bulky... but lucky for you, they printed it on his torso as well, so you can remove the armor and give it to some other figure, or sell it. I think he looks great! Quote
Reevr Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 Just2Good, how did you already get the set? ToysRus' website shows the sets but none of them are in stock. Quote
Jacob_9821 Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 But disappointed that the Tie pilot/guy doesn't have leg printing!? Hopefully they are prototypes. Looks like a good set though! They're not prototypes, he has the final set. It's sad because they already have printed legs for TIE pilots, albeit for OT stylized ones not rebels. However it's generic enough to have fit in. Unless that was sarcasm I missed, oops on my part then. Quote
wesker Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 The TIE Prototype looks fantastic. Would love to see the other TIEs from the OT redone in this style. Quote
Chills Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 Yes yes yes! When I first saw it I thought, Meh, but this looks like a fun set with great mini figures. Quote
duboismerci Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 Anyone has the price list in US$? Thanks! Quote
namioik Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 Anyone has the price list in US$? Thanks! $40 usd Quote
Darth Caedus Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 $40 usd When he said price list I think he meant for the whole wave - I'm looking for the same thing. Quote
Darth Malgus Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 Thanks J2G for the review. Looking forward to this set. Like the moulds for the inquisitor. Quote

Dragonlego27 Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 Alright, so I did get the TIE Prototype from Toys"R"Us' site, and here's a look at it! Honestly, I'm not a Star Wars expert or LEGO Star Wars expert, and this is my first set that I got from the theme at full price in a while (I guess besides the latest Advent). And, I am really satisfied with it. The Inquisitor minifigures is phenomenal- they went all out to portray the complex look of the character, with THREE new moulds exclusive to him! The other two minifigures, who are new for 2015, are well done as well. The build itself is a nice one. I really like the missile shooting function by swaying the platform of the ship, and the design is reminiscent of Vader's TIE- a vehicle we haven't had for a while. This is the only I have so far. Wow, thanks for the review Just2good! Definite purchase for me, for both ship and minifigures (especially the practically flawless Inquisitor), although I might wait until May (especially if the promo figure is as good as Revan). J.V.D. Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 Apparently another set where the minigfigs are the selling factor. The model itself isn't bad, but I still prefer the real TIE advanced.. ;despite maybe some more advance building techniques or pieces might have been used for this "prototype" compared to the 8017. However, aprox 50 euros seems a lot of money for a ship this size... The central bankers in europe are praying for some inflation,.. Lego is only trying to help them a bit I guess.. Quote

I was hesitating to get both. I will probly only pick up the walker and maybe the starfighter but only on sale! Quote
nerdsforprez Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 The problem with these posts is that they simply become too long, and those of us that are late to the party... like myself, don't have time to read everything but have legit questions. So I am just going to post my two here.... i am sorry if the answer appears elsewhere in the post. 1) About a year ago there was a rumor of a remake or new UCS MF coming out. Large, very large like the last one. ANy recent new of this? True, untrue? and 2) One the first of the post it was rumored that a large set was coming out, possibly 3000-5000 pieces. any new news about what this may be? Quote
tafkatb Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 1) No confirmation one way or the other. If it is coming, it isn't anytime soon and likely won't be an outright rerelease. 2) Apparently when that rumor first started, everyone jumped to the conclusion that it was a Star Wars set, but the latest speculation is that it actually referred to the Helicarrier. Quote
Gremer Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 1) Sort of. There was a page in a catalog that said that the MF is returning, but that's all we have. 2) No 3000-5000 piece set, but there is a 2000 piece TIE fighter coming out. Quote

Woah......even be more excited if this is actually the case.... ..about the helicarrier. I need to perfect my quoting skills.... Quote
Tariq j Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Thanks for the review Just2good. The more I see pictures and reviews of the Rebels sets the more I like them. The AT-DP, Inquisitors Tie and the Speeder Bike are definitely on my "2buy" list. Quote
