just2good Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Speaking of Sabine... got this one from Toys"R"Us' site. Overall, this is a really fun set! The Ezra minifigure is great, just wish her skin color was more accurate (we need more tan girls in LEGO!). I don't mind that her helmet isn't here, actually, because the new hair piece is so well done (a look at the back of that here). The speeder bikes are very cool as well, the only major downside they have is that they are the exact same builds except with different colors, so the build is pretty tedious on the second one. Wish there was some variation, but it's accurate to the show from my understanding. Quote
GallardoLU Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 sweet! Sabine gets the small blasters! i haven't gotten any of those in black yet (just bley) so those are an added bonus, and i agree, i can do without the helm (so long as we get it eventually) the hair piece does look good. Quote
darththeling Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 (edited) Really great pix, thanks! Sabine's hair is not orange enough. And what is going on with that lightsaber-hilt / blaster? It looks like neither with the binoculars piece. Despite these two gripes, this will be bought on sight. Are Sabine's blaster pistols new? I haven't seen them anywhere else. Only in Star Wars sets? The flickie blasters will work much better on vehicles, they are ugly in minifig hands. This set provides a few Rebels spoilers it seems. A Rebel-painted speederbike (room to park on The Ghost?) and Ezra gets a lightsaber with blaster function, which I guess we already knew from other toy images. I'm encouraged, these bikes are a major improvement on previous multiple versions of speederbikes. They look much bulkier and sturdy. Edited December 18, 2014 by darththeling Quote
Darth Malgus Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Like the new blasters, thanks j2g Quote
Dragonlego27 Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 (edited) Thanks for the review Just2good! Another strong set I will probably buy, a good purchase if you want to see whether you can cope with the new Stormies or not before getting the battlepack. Like the new blasters, thanks j2g I thought they were new as well, but that's was disproved about twenty pages back, they're from some early CW sets, such as the Clone Troopers battlepack. Tariq j Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 ^^ With Colonel Dovchengo I believe. Thanks for the review J2G, I will definitely buy this set. The detailing on these minifigures is superb! Quote
DarthTwoShedsJackson Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 With a little bit of luck, I'll get my hands on the speeder chase set and Sabine this saturday - fingers crossed. What's funny, though: I already have Sabine's helmet! Quote
Jedi-Bendu Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 What's funny, though: I already have Sabine's helmet! Eh? A custom helmet I guess? Quote
just2good Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Thanks for all the great feedback y'all! With a little bit of luck, I'll get my hands on the speeder chase set and Sabine this saturday - fingers crossed. What's funny, though: I already have Sabine's helmet! Walmart order? Quote
DarthTwoShedsJackson Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Eh? A custom helmet I guess? Yes. Excellent qualitiy regarding both print and detail/accuracy. I'll post images as part of a little vignette once I got the Lego Sabine. Thanks for all the great feedback y'all! Walmart order? Nope. My local Lego store here in Germany has a good chance of having some winter 2015 sets on the shelf this saturday, a store employee told me. That's why I keep my fingers crossed until then. Quote
ArrowBricks Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Unsure on how to post videos but a foreign Toys R Us channel on YouTube has official advertisements of the Rebels sets. Quote

Yep, the one Dragonlego27 is thinking of is this one which was only used in SW sets, and haven't appeared since 2011. It's a shame, since that's one of my favorite pistols; best option for the small pistols Rex, Bly, Star Corps, and others used; kinda disappointing they didn't use 'em in the BARC Speeder w/ sidecar and Phase 2 Rex. Greedo in the Cantina set absolutely should've had one of these pistols, rather than a copy of Han's. Quote
TheLastToaofLight Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Sabine's hair just looks odd in my opinion. Quote
Leewan Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Sabine's hair just looks odd in my opinion. Yeah, I think it's too "high", it looks more like a wig than real hair. I like the speeder bikes, though, especially the rear section. Quote
deskp Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Yeah Hair mold is bad, and the color of the clothes are wrong aswell. Lego used dark red? when it should be purple. And the gloves should be dark grey not black.. http://rebelsreport.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/sab30.png Quote

How do you release her minifig without a helmet? Also, the character isn't just "tanned." She's a POC. So the fact that Lego made her pale white is pretty disappointing. Quote
Nom Carver Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 I would like to have a close look at those new grey stormtroopers, is there any chance of seeing a review of that set just2good ? Quote
just2good Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 (edited) I would like to have a close look at those new grey stormtroopers, is there any chance of seeing a review of that set just2good ? Are you talking about the Shadow Troopers set? Chances are high of seeing that review this week. For now, let's take a look at the Skyhopper set! Overall, this set is definitely satisfying for $25. There's 247+ pieces, and you get two exclusive minifigures that probably won't be re-released for a while (well, maybe we'll see the Tusken in the next Advent Calendar or something). The design of the Skyhopper is a huge improvement over the last, and I love the use of the trans-black panels for the "window" screens. Edited December 18, 2014 by just2good Quote

Darth Malgus Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Thanks for the review, cannot wait for tuskens. Quote
Reevr Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 I've been waiting for a redesign of the skyhopper for years. That review gets me even more excited for it. Thanks for sharing! Quote
