I also agree with you about the fact that lego does have a collector market in addition to children. However, the falcon he was talking about that was on display seemed like it would sell for $800-1000 USD. There was talk that it had lights and numerous features (no talk of an interior) but there was sounds? In my opinion, I believe that it was a model they had as a display for the show and not for intended retail release. People have voiced that they were disappointed with the possibility of a 10179 rerelease and what that would do to the secondary market. I honestly believe that lego values that people collect products because when they do rereleases of UCS sets they are never the exact same beast as the previous iteration.

This is something that bothers me about this rumor. Lego would not simply not do a MF set because owners or third party resellers were concerned about collectors value of the old. Heck this is now a non existent issue with the MF in particular. Lego would and will simply release a different version of the ship. In this case probably an Ep VII variant, thus preserving the rarity of the core most sought after pieces of the original.

No, no, no. I definitely deserve a UCS Falcon and I hope you realise that you NEED one too...

Need one, maybe. Want one, definitely. Afford one, not so much :)

Besides, whose to say it won't be possible to get both... A system and a UCS?

They're not even that different-apart from a difference in scale, size and about 4-5 hundred pounds ;)

Lego store in Liverpool has everything in. Waiting for Monday to pick most of it up thanks to the double VIP points. Couldn't wait for Slave One as they have 2 left and one of those boxes is damaged!

Thank you very much for the further information! :classic:

About the Admiral Yularen Promo:

I really like it that we get this character as an OT one since I do only buy OT sets! And I must say that he looks good - I esp. like the new torso.

Again about the Hoth Echo Base:

Here is what imo this set for sure won't include:

- AT-AT (we already got one last year)

- Wampa (with or without cave)

And here is a list of which parts I think it might include:

- Snowspeeder

- Imperial search droid

- Tauntaun

- big gate

- medical room, control room, recreation room and hangar

- one or twho turrets

- some parts of the dugout

- service vehicle

Because of this, I can't imagine that this set will be bigger and more expensive than the Ewok Village. For sure there won't be huge vehilcles included as well as the number of minifigs is unlikely to be more than maximum 18 (Han, Leia, Luke (injured), Luke, Chewbacca, R2-D2, C-3PO, 2 Rebel Troopers, 2 Snowtroopers, Rebel commander, Imperial commander, medical droid, another droid like K-3PO, Darth Vader and two Snowspeeder pilots). Plus I don't see the Echo Base to include more rooms than the above mentioned. To summarize, I'd bet the set being 150 til 250 Euros.

Btw: Happy new year!

Bad News: All 2015 Lego Star Wars sets are sold out on Lego Shop at Home and won't restock till January 31, 2015. I went to the Lego website and every 2015 set for Star Wars has the note, Out of Stock will ship in 30 days.

At the same time as the AT-AT a new snowspeeder was released. ;)

Regarding how it will look.....here's a cross section of Echo Base; there's much Lego can put in this set.

It could include a Wampa as there have been deleted scenes of Wampas attacking EB:

Maybe this set will include the much wanted Derek 'Hobbie' Klivian and Wes Janson.....and what would Echo Base be without one of these? (Maybe it's released this summer???? Let's pray it is  )

Lego also made a Snowspeeder in 2013, so they've already released two varients within a year of release. For some reason TLG seem to love them, almost as much as Jedi Starfighters.

Wampas!?ATTACKING ECHO BASE! I need to see this deleted scene! Looks like we'll get another Wampa next year then. I can just imagine scratching at a wall with an explode function...

Here are the scenes (they're also on the BR set)

Strange that the rumoured UCS Tie fighter 75095 is only one set number above the Imperial Shuttle Tydirium. Aren't UCS set numbers completely different to the normal sets or have I missed something?...

They used to be, but that changed last year.

After seeing the cross section of the Echo Base there's alot Lego can do with this set to make it successful. I'd like to see some named characters rather than just "rebel pilot" like Wedge, Wes Janson, Hobbie Klivion etc. The ball is basically in Lego's court as far as this set is concerned.

It would be nice if a new UCS Hoth set included the Ion Cannon and the Power Generator. Unlike most elements of Hoth, neither of those have ever featured in an Official Lego set before. I doubt we will see an ATAT or Snowspeeder simply because they will still be around at the time of release. An ATST is a possibility since we haven't seen an official version since Battle of Endor over 5 years ago.

I totally agree, I mentioned the ion Canon a couple of pages back. An AT-ST would be great.

i doubt any vehicles will be included in this set. why would they include vehicles that are already sets (snowspeeder)? and the ewok village didnt have any vehicles (other than the speederbike). wouldnt it make more sense to include the at-st in an endor set? why would they release it in a setting it was less prominent in.

Synergy sometimes goes out the window with TLG. The AT-ST does feature in the battle, they're almost the first part of the empire you see on hoth.

If they did another Endor AT-ST I'd be just as happy, personally i don't need a 5th AT-AT unless its UCS...

I'm envisioning that they would do the echo base hanger door with the power generator and shield and include an imperial search droid. TLG have not done these things yet. I'm excited for this set as I missed out on the first Hoth set.

The Ion Cannon, Shield Generator and Medium Transport would be top of my list, with an update to the doors and control room coming after that. I reckon the hangar and medial bay will be in there, as well as a trench. Dish and tower turrets, along with probe droids and e-web blasters would be cool, but not essential, we've had loads of them over the years.

Death star had 24 minifigs, UCS Sandcrawler had 14, so I think between those numbers is fair. Luke (Hoth, Injured, Pilot), Han (Hoth, Blue Coat), Leia, Chewie (new design), R2, 3PO, Darth Vader, Riekaan, 2-1B and Wedge have all been released before, but could be upgraded/updated. Generic Soldiers, Pilots and Snowtroopers are also cure to be in there.

Ne minifigs could be Major Derlin, Hobbie, Wes, Luke in his recovery robes, Fixit, and even Ozzel and Veers in their imperial tunics.

Who's Fixit? EDIT: I think you mean FX-7??

Maybe the Chewbacca will be an entirely new version covered in snow?

Other figs (besides the ones others & I already mentioned could be: Toryn Farr, Wyron Serper, Tigran Jamiro, Tamizander Rey, Shawn Valdez (there's a beautiful non-fiction story regarding how he got that name), General McQuarrie...etc.

Regarding vehicles, I think (besides the AT-ST) this one is agood possibility:

The Troop Carrier

Got to be a nice new version of this guy with backprinting, wires on stomach etc. Also an invading party of snowtroopers and Vader. Snowy Chewy would be awesome, and I'd like to see a new generic Rebel plus a couple of Snowspeeder pilots.
