markw Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Not a big Prequel Trilogy fan, but is Kamino the only location that has been totally ignored by Lego? Would love a Taun We! Quote
Jedi-Bendu Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Not a big Prequel Trilogy fan, but is Kamino the only location that has been totally ignored by Lego? Would love a Taun We! There are also no Felucia sets if I'm correct. This planet is briefly seen in Episode III (death of Aayla Secura) In a way there is 1 Kamino set (from a certain point of view ): Jango Fett's Slave I is seen on Kamino. Quote
Khaled Yousef Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Yeah, a Kamino play set with a Jango Slave I would be awesome. And since we're getting Episode I set in this wave I hope one of the "wolf" sets would be an Episode II or III; it might be the last chance to get any of those for a long time. Quote
namioik Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 There are also no Felucia sets if I'm correct. One could also count TCW 10195 at-ot if they wanted to Quote
rollermonkey Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Couldn't believe how many people in line at the LEGO store had upwards of 4 Stormtrooper BPs. Quote
Clone 01354 Productions Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 I think it's possible that we may get a Tusken Raider Encounter this year. I mean, LEGO made a whole new mold for the Tusken head, and using it for one minifigure in one set seems like a waste. Especially since the Tusken is in such a cheap set......LEGO would never release a brand-new, complex mold for one cheap set. Quote
Im a brickmaster. Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 So I have a general question for those that bought the new ST battle pack. Are they pretty ugly? I think I have one normal storm trooper from the Endor pack, and I'd like to know if the overall design of the figure is to cartoony. Quote
Lobot Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 *snip* Got to be a nice new version of this guy with backprinting, wires on stomach etc. Also an invading party of snowtroopers and Vader. Snowy Chewy would be awesome, and I'd like to see a new generic Rebel plus a couple of Snowspeeder pilots. I'm quite happy with the original K-3PO from 7666, any more printing would ruin him! And, on a Hoth-related note, I received the new catalogue today and noticed that 10188 has a 'Limited Quantity' banner which is the only one I could see....perhaps its days are finally numbered? It will be interesting to see how the timing works between it and the new set. Quote

I also don't have 100s of older OT style, and am not nearly as nitpicky as many SW fans are. Pick it up and decide. It's not so expensive, and you're the only one who can decide for yourself. The only cartoony part of them is the mouth print, which can be fixed using borax. Quote

Chills Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 What I find most interesting is who is guarding that ship. Good eye. That ship has a ramp just like the Imperial Shuttle and a couple of Royal Guards. Must be someone important. It's also huge for a TIE. Quote
DarthR2-D2 Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 It's one of those things that I don't particularly care for as something that will be in a film. But Lego ought to do a good job, as they always do. Quote
sasbury Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 I'm hearing lots of rumors about a Hoth playset and a UCS-scaled AT-AT. A 10188-scaled Hoth set could be awesome. Something like this http://galeriemoreau.deviantart.com/art/Hoth-Echo-Rebel-Base-139770946 One thing we haven't seen from Lego is a properly scaled Hoth defense turret. http://battlefront.wikia.com/wiki/Hoth_Defense_Turret As for the AT-AT, please Lego make it a quality build like the one on Lego Ideas. I'm concerned Lego will go for a cheaper house-of-plates style like the current AT-AT and the Sandcrawler. That building style just looks awful and, in my opinion, ruined the Sandcrawler set. The UCS Imperial Shuttle building style was so much better. I realize cost is a concern, but if you're going to do it and pitch it to the serious collector, then do it well. Quote

Hope it s part of the September wave. *SPOILER ALERT* https://indierevolver.files.wordpress.com/2015/01/wpid-t2-e1420219488228.jpg This looks fantastic, and I'd bet any money that those wings swivel forwards to end up looking more like a TIE Interceptor. Also the ship is rumoured to belong to Gwendoline Christie's Imperial Elite 'Chrometrooper' so that could explain those guards. Quote

montgocloud Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 This looks fantastic, and I'd bet any money that those wings swivel forwards to end up looking more like a TIE Interceptor. I was thinking that, but then wouldn't it make sense for the wings to curve a bit more and maybe feature some guns at the top? Those wings going sideways would look pretty wonky. But again, this is from concept art. The design of the wings could look more natural in a sideways formation once the design is in its final stages. Quote

Still, it looks pretty cool. This looks fantastic, and I'd bet any money that those wings swivel forwards to end up looking more like a TIE Interceptor. Does anyone have any idea what kind of price range this ship as a set would be in? I'm not exactly sure of it's scale. Also, thanks for that peice of information NovaSentinel, I guess we know what set she's going to come in ;). Those guards would be nice too. Edited January 4, 2015 by Dragonlego27 Quote
