Very interesting news. There is a lot of information here to cover.

First, I find it tremendously interesting and really fantastic how LEGO has decided to break up the summer releases over the course of many months. In the past, they'd dump roughly 10 or more new sets all at once around the beginning of August. And it worked well. But seeing as how The Force Awakens (and Disney's overall plans in general) have thrown a wrench in how LEGO used to release sets, I'm glad with the solution they came up with, and I sense that this is the sort of pattern that we'll be getting for the foreseeable future.

What I'm really happy about with this release pattern is it gives us more than enough sets to cover the material of new movies and shows, without having to give up the chance to release a handful of Prequel Trilogy and Original Trilogy sets each year. My guess is that the pattern will proceed as such: June sets are from the PT/OT, September sets are for the new film, and all other sets coming after that are based on Rebels (or whatever show happens to be popular at the time, since Rebels will only last 3-4 seasons and we'll be getting a new show based in the Sequel Era shortly after). I really like this pattern, because it gives us a much wider selection of products over a longer stretch of time, which is just nice.

Ok, now that I've covered that, here are my thoughts on the June sets. Personally, the only sets I'm interested in are the Death Star Final Duel and the Shuttle Tydirium. While I'm very pleased we're finally getting a new Flash Speeder after so many years, it just isn't memorable enough to warrant a place in my collection, especially with all The Force Awakens stuff coming out a couple months later. And the Naboo Starfighter really doesn't catch my eye at all. The Imperial Cruiser is one that I'm completely undecided about. Until I see pictures and minifigure selection, I'm gonna say its a pass.

Now, onto The Force Awakens sets. So we're getting seven sets (seems appropriate since its Episode VII), and we have a new Millennium Falcon and X-Wing Fighter confirmed. Those confirmations alone are extremely exciting! I have really high hopes for the Falcon. I have the 2011 version sitting on my shelf beside me as I type this, and it really is one of my favourite sets to come out in recent years. But, it does have its flaws. I see this situation much like the 2006/2014 Star Destroyer comparison. Both sets are fantastic for their own reasons, but in my opinion, the 2014 set helped really iron out some of the kinks and overall improved the design greatly from the 2006 predecessor. My main hope for this new Flacon is that they'll find a way to seamlessly include a carrying handle, like what the new Star Destroyer (and most of the newer larger ships) has.

The X-Wing will obviously be a huge seller for everyone, kids and adults alike. I'm really excited to see how they tackle the interesting X-Foil design on the new ships, and if they'll finally do away with the annoying elastic bands and give us a more sturdy way for the wings to open up. My guess is this set will also include Poe Dameron in his X-Wing pilot flight suit.

As for the other five sets, I simply just can't wait till we start getting more info so we may be able to figure out what sets will portray what scenes. I'm really hoping that at least one of the smaller sets has one of the new lightsaber wielding villains, preferably the Chrome Stormtrooper Inquisitor character. I expect Kylo Ren to be in one of the more expensive sets.

Lastly, those mysterious sets that come after The Force Awakens sets, I believe those will be more Rebels sets focused on season 2 of the show, which is exciting, but as of right now I'm not that concerned about those.

Overall, I feel like this will be one of the best years for Star Wars LEGO since 1999. I've never been more excited for new sets ever before this!

No ranting here, simply a summary of the poor reputation your website carries in the majority of AFOL circles. But I'm not interested I'm making this a thing, so I am going to drop the topic. Here's hoping the quality of your reporting increases.

Well, your previous post carries some very serious and I might add very unfounded accusations against Will's website. I am very much present in many different Lego forums, French, English, German, and Serbian and Hoth Bricks is regarded on most as a reliable and among the most regularly updated Lego SW websites around, with a very good moderation moreover, so I would be very interested to see a reference towards these "AFOL circles" that you mention? I'd be most curious to read some rationale for smearing the reputation of one of what I consider the best forums globally for Lego SW (and definitely the best one in France)...

I have to concur with spyderlord here.... All stories that have originated here have been credited as the source on Hothbricks and the others as far as I can tell.... What you have to remember is that all websites feed off each other for news and Hothbricks is no exception. At least I know if I want the LATEST news I know where to go. I think it's unfortunate that you've thrown a hand grenade and then left.....

I remember this "case" but look like you don't know the whole story behind this, I know i'm a "luker" but I want talk about this whole case :

First hothbrick make a post about why brickqueen use leia slave outfit for a review about the death star set... This is Lego, seriously and what the link ? :look:

Brickqueen make a video about this and accuse hothbrick to give her bad reputation and use her fanbase to destroy hothbrick (especially with death message)

After that brickshow and ycf jumped to make their own video about the case but just give more fuel to the fire. No one stop them (Remember they said we are a team, we don't need to fight each other :shrug_oh_well: )

I don't trust brickqueen, especially with the jurrasic park cuusoo case who she use the same plot, she was bannish and use her fanbase against tjspencer1's project because he made a jurrasic park idea and accuse him for her banishment... Senteosan who made a really good idea was a victim too just because he made a jurrasic park set... :hmpf_bad:

This is why i prefer watch video from jangbricks or just2good (who have got a little problem with brickqueen too), they don't want problems, they don't want fight, they only want talk about Lego.

Anyway, the Flash Speeder seems a bit expensive for £35, especially considering it's around the same size as the Landspeeder or Mandalorian Speeder, which were around £20-25 respectively.

I understand 1/2 battle droids will be included, and likely a droideka as well, but a droideka is not worth £10. I think Padme, with a new faceprint and in her battle outfit, will be included, along with the Naboo Guard from the MTT. If there is a fifth figure, I'd say it would either be the Gungan Warrior from the winter wave or an updated Captain Panaka.

I'd love for the set to include a Kaadu-drawn cart with Boss Nass, but it would just look out of place with the rest of the set. I'll guess we'll just have to wait for a new Gungan Patrol with Boss Nass, Captain Tarpaals and a Gungan Warrior, plus two battle droids.

Actually, I'm with what, I understand chunks of your post but most of it is hard to follow, I've read the post on what Hothbricks said in 2013, seen the replies as highlighted in the youtube videos above. Not too sure what all this has to do with rumours of 2015 waves.

Would like the flash speeder to finally include Boss Nass. Wasn't he featured in one of the animated shows?

May be a trade federation outpost against the Flash Speeder.

A few brick for the outpost, a stap, some battle droids with backpack (brick 1*2) and a droideka against flash speeder, 1 naboo guard, captain panaka and padme

Darth Malgus : Actually I'm not the first who opened the pandora box, I know it's difficult to understand my post, especially when english is not my first language but whatever I just give my opnion about the subject. No offense.

I leave for a few day and all this happens...

Great news that we will finally get an update for the flash speeder. Also looking forward to the shuttle tydirium. I hope we will get some OT stormtroopers with this wave. Those rebel stormtrooper battlepacks sell like hot pie, but they just can't please me with rebels stormtroopers. Maybe this success will lead to more stormtroopers in the future.

I should leave more often.

I wasn't offended, so no need to apologise.

The English doesn't bother me too much. I was having trouble following the flow of your analysis of the situation, that was all.

I know you didn't start the issue, I was more intrigued as to why it's still an issue some 18 months later?

75093 Final Duel -- Do we know for a fact that this set will center on the ending of ROTJ? I think it would be pretty neat if it was actually the final duel between Obi-Wan and Vader. A nice Death Star hanger with working blast doors and a bunch of new storm troopers would make for an excellent set ;)

I really can't wait to see the new designed Millennium Falcon  I'm very curious to see what the interior is like as well, as it is probably completely different for the new movie.

Ok, thanks. I wasn't aware of this whole debate, but I would still question the assertion of "AFOL circles" as these two videos are clearly geared towards an entirely different audience than HB, which I wouldn't exactly call AFOLs... But now I understand Will's reluctance to pursue this argument, let's just say to each his/her own, I am personally very much going to continue relying on HothBricks for Lego SW information.

While I don't agree with some of what Hoth Bricks does, I certainly respect your choice to do so and I applaud your unwavering support for one of your favorite fan sites. I am going to take my own advice from a few posts back and drop the topic.

We need to stay on target here guys. If you want to keep up an AFOL site discussion, start a chat between yourselves. Keep this topic for the discussion of 2015 sets.

As much as I'd love that, it'll probably be ROTJ based. But I just can't see this set being good: Palpatine's Arrest price (and most likely piece count, too), three minifigs, and then really, what could the set be? A chair, a window, and a platform? That is exactly what Palpatine's Arrest was, and that set was terrible.

Maybe we'll get lucky, and LEGO will throw in Sabine's helmet, Beru, pregnant Padme, Galen Marrek, and Durge. Then that set is on my must-buy list.

I think you forgot two Lasat Bo-Rifles, Admiral Thrawn and an entire, UCS Cloud City :D. I like your inclusion of Durge though.

Anyway, I think the set may actually be not that bad. Especially if you're like me and don't have £350+ to spend on the Death Star.

And I'm pretty sure it won't just have three minifigures either, BTW.

Unless different parts of the ship are featured (like the bunks where Han, Chewie, and guests would sleep if necessary--all we ever really saw was the med-bed Luke was in) I don't expect too many differences. The main dejarik-table area we saw in ANH is likely very much the same!

I don't get why people desire the Death Star SO MUCH. All it is, really, is undersized scenes and a bunch of minifigs. None of the scenes have detail; the limited size means you can't really MOD it.......The only thing it's good for is using the pieces to make better scenes.

And yeah, if I had to bet, the set would include: Vader (new helmet), Palpatine (hopefully w/ a better cape), Luke (Ewok Village version) and two Royal Guards (hopefully w/ a better cape).

The Rebel's Stormies have kinda grown on me. As someone who came out of his Dark Ages about 2-3 years ago, classic Stormies have been few and far between. And none of them seem quite uniform. But with these Rebels sets we have tons of cheap uniformed Stormtroopers. We have other supporting staff that match with them like the AT AP pilots and the Tie Pilot. I'm starting to like them, like the designs and love the Rebels sets. The only negative against them is the are not quite the classic Lego Stormtroopers. More and more I am having trouble holding that against them.

Yeah JJ Abrams teased something of that table awhile back, so it's a safe bet that it is there. I assume that the actual Falcon's interior will be a bit better designed this go round, as the film producers actually mapped it out and built the 1:1 scale Falcon set. So no more Tardis MF bigger on the inside. A new Falcon interior may reflect some of those designs, within limitations of the scale and medium.

Also remember the first wave or two of Ep VII Lego sets are based off of production and pre production materials. Not actual finished filmed scenes. So Lego will be working more off of the production art and blueprints them off any specific things that the camera happens to show us. ( Personally I'm betting this version of the MF will show us where the futuristic Wookie space toilet is on the MF. Just because that is the sort of thing that some of Lego designers seem to take amusement in, and they have never given us a Spaceship toilet before.)
