Cyberfounder Posted January 18, 2015 Posted January 18, 2015 When I saw the word Shuttle, my first thought was "Yes, more stormtroopers", but then I saw Tyderium and thought " that's even better", as long as there will be other sets that have at least 2 stormtroopers in it. I never got the chance to building up a good number of these guys so I really hope there will be some in the final duel, but it's a long shot indeed. Quote

I agree. Honestly the older version would have been fine with leg printing and maybe a slight change to the torso, without making it look like a panda. I hope we get Luke, Leia, Han, Chewie, C-3PO, R2-D2, 2 scout troopers and maybe one or two endor rebels in the Tyderium set. Quote

That's a high number of figs, doubt we will see that many for a set priced £80. I would guess around 6. Luke, Leia, Han, Chewbacca, a rebel scout and a scout trooper with bike. Robianco Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 (edited) Luke, Han and Leia in Endor camouflage would be fantastic as would getting the new Chewie figure in an OT set. We don't really need a Rebel Scout or Biker Scout but whether TLG feel the need to add any in to expand the ground team is always guesswork. I actually think the new Biker Scout is fantastic and pretty much nails that character. Judging by the costs of recent sets which included decent ship builds I'd guess at around 5... maybe 6 figures. If anything the idea of a Biker Scout and Speeder Bike to give another scene to re-enact is possible but they've shown in the last waves that they're happy to just give us just one side of a faction with a bigger set such as the AT-AT etc. We had two pretty big Imperial crafts with that and the Star Destroyer so the Tydirium may just be rebel... which I think would be ideal. I'd happily take the 4 figures I mentioned first with a really good Tydirium build... we're pretty much guaranteed a black Jedi costumed Luke in the other main OT set of the next wave anyway. I can see that Luke just being the Ewok Village variant... Vader being the DS version, possibly with that rumoured revised helmet mould, a variant on the Sith Book for Palpatine (although I think the Sith Book version is pretty much perfect)... then maybe some of those Holy Grail OT Stormtroopers everyone is after. I can't imagine a set of that size would just have 3 repeat figures for it's main protagonists though so I'm definitely leaning towards a new helmet mould for Vader based on that... especially as we've only just had new Imperial Guards. That's why I'm kind of expecting an Imperial Dignitary or two to populate that set. Edited January 19, 2015 by Robianco Quote

It is possible that we might actually get some more news on the 2H Star Wars sets even before the toy fairs start. Although I'm guessing that security will remain tight on the Ep. legolandia Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 A falcon with a new colour scheme would be awful. It's Han Solo's ship and is a 'hunk of junk' and should remain so in my opinion. The colour scheme is fine the way it is Fans may have rioted if the Falcon was suddenly purple or yellow or had red racing stripes or was even black. It's the one ship you really can't mess around with too much. Too much of an icon that's recognized even by non Star Wars fans. Actually in the EU the Falcon did get a repaint (blue and white if I am not mistaken). Didnt hear many fans screaming then... It may have initially been a hunk of junk but through the years the ship got fitted with a hell of a lot of latest weaponry that it was quite cutting edge. Obviously this was all in the EU and we dont really know what future awaits the Falcon in the new Disney era but I dont see why a custom paint job would be out of the question. A black paint job would actually make it stealthy since it wouldnt be visible in the pitch black of space. The main feature that distinguishes the Falcon is its shape. Quote
Venkefedo Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 In the EU the Falcon also got repainted black at least twice (once in the abysmal Crystal Star, the other during NJO I think). The first time, at least, also featured 3PO getting a purple paint job--and either Luke or Han or both wore beards, the whole idea being they were 'in disguise' because they were so famous... an off-white dingey YT-1300 would have many wondering "Falcon?" but coupled with two dudes resembling Han & Luke and a shiny golden protocol droids, the fangirls would've been all over them. It was immensely silly. Tweaks to the deco might have worked, but it's kinda refreshing that all that seems 'different' is the radar dish. For 'familiar yet updated' we've got all those nice new X-wings, including the sweet black & orange deco. Quote
