BJM Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 (edited) Little warm up before NYTF. In this article they say: For Return of the Jedi you've got what LEGO describes as "two exciting sets launching later this year." What else could RTJ bring us that we have not had recently??? Could include Tyderium I guess? Edited February 13, 2015 by BJM Quote

Believe you are thinking of The Empire Strikes Back, the movie with cloud city. The RoTJ sets have been discussed here for awhile, the final duel and the tydirium. Quote

If those craft assignments turned out to be accurate, I would hope we'd get more included... Rey's Speeder almost has to be somewhere in there, but at $26.99 it can't exactly be the primary build in the set. It's a bulky speeder bike, but for $26.99 it's far too small. The X-wing would also need some extras, even if just the usual "tech carts" we sometimes see, and some great figures, to justify an $89.99 price point. Quote

darththeling Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Overall great news, on the long term brand partnership with Lego and Star Wars... and appropriate for Valentines Day they are going to be together forever. I just hope it doesn't take "forever" for TLG group to give us all what we want and need, a proper Cloud City. Every time I visit this thread I hope to see news about it and I know I'm not the only one. If it shows up one day looking like that Final Duel set for this summer, I think I'm sticking with 10123. There's no excuse if the the final build includes that blue lightsaber. Return of the Jedi has been out since 1984 so that is a few decades that we've seen Luke and his green saber.... but TLG seems color blind in certain areas, e.g. the latest flick fire missles. TIE fighters have never fired any color than green and yet... red flick fires. We get green flick fires in the Ghost set, but there's the Ghost in Star Wars Rebels firing red lasers. Is this a ploy for us to buy both kits and switch them? (ahem... guilty as charged.) Sorry for the rant but if you are in the business of making Star Wars toys out of Lego, get the colors right. Unbelieveable awesomeness here, look at this incredible version of Cloud City. It's huge! It should be huge. It's a city. TLG better be bringing us something along these lines, with terrific interiors before too long. Having tried to pull off something that does the exterior justice many, many times in MOCs - hats off to this brilliance. Quote

markw Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 (edited) Interesting comparison pic of the new Sergeant Stormie Seems they have tried to make the 'mouth' less droopy, so it isn't just an existing figure with a pauldron added. It's kind of a trade off between the two new types. Edited February 14, 2015 by markw Quote
