Archer Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Captain Tarpals, at least he's not the exact Gungan Warrior from earlier. I still think the Naboo Starfighter is practically the same ship, but the Naboo Pilot is definitely closer to movie accurate. Also since Leia comes with a Poncho piece we can make our own Endor Lukes. Quote
DarthBrickus Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 (edited) Tydirium Shuttle is a must have (even though i already have the UCS Version, but now i have one or Endor and one for Emperor's Arrival on the Death Star ) Final Duel is 50/50, but i have to say, from the detailed pics on fbtb.net: Darth Vader definetly looks like Dark Helmet with that huge helmet. The Constraction-Figs are pretty well done as far as Constraction Figs go imho. Edited February 14, 2015 by DarthBrickus Quote
Nom Carver Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 http://www.fbtb.net/...ars/#more-31557 FTB have their photos, and the best look at vader, that face is lovely and that helmet i think looks great! Plus the throne room sections fold in to create a movie accurate look! Double thanks!!! http://www.fbtb.net/...14-05.49.28.jpg What's that Leia is holding? a wookiee cookie (??) and a ??? A small blaster like Han's, it looks weird because the angle and the lighting. Quote
Jedi-Bendu Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Double thanks!!! A small blaster like Han's, it looks weird because the angle and the lighting. Ah.....I see it now. And in her right hand a cookie for Wicket. Quote
kermit Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 thnx. it confirms that Sabines helmet AND hair are included in the carrier set. http://www.fbtb.net/...14-05.49.28.jpg What's that Leia is holding? a wookiee cookie (??) and a ??? That is the candy she gave the ewok in the movie. Quote
James Wellington Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Do my eyes DECEIVE me? I see a Naboo Royal Guard! Not to be mistaken with the Royal Security Guard (on the right with the yellow hat) I'm like freaking out right now! I'm going to buy at least 2 of these sets. Wow! Quote
wilson3a10 Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 The helmet of darth vader.......Sorry it just looks too deviated from the original Quote
TheWolffe Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 What is with that Darth Vader helmet, it looks.. Wrong? It doesn't sit right with me, something's off about it. I dunno what though, it looks accurate but something just irks me about it. Also isn't Sabines helmet pink? What's with the Darkish red/pink? On the plus side great sets. Those naboo security guard/royal guard are a definite plus. Also trans astromech droid head looks awesome. Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 (edited) Han looks old They switched his face with the rightmost Rebel soldier In my opinion, the highlights are definitely Vader's new helmet, Leia's updated headpiece, Sabine's Mando helmet (even though it's not exactly the right colour) and the clear-domed Astomech droid Edited February 14, 2015 by Lego-Freak Quote
Robert8 Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 That Advent Calendar looks like one of the poorest ever made Quote

GuyDudeMan27 Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 75096: Sith Infiltrator And: There will be 6 more Constraction Sets in December, all from the new Movie. Another one?!?! Well, I guess we should get used to the Constraction sets... Quote
ResIpsaLoquitur Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 (edited) So, Advent Calendar...let's see what we got: - Stormtrooper: Hooray! I think he's the only white-armored character yet to appear in an AC. (We've had Phase I and II clones, two Snowtroopers, and a Scout Trooper. No Stormies.) - Endor weapons rack: Meh. I guess it could work in an Endor vignette. - Endor table. Meh. - Ewok: Good. That's another one that's been screaming "army builder" for awhile. - Endor catapult: Oh, fer...I'm pretty sure this is the third catapult to appear in an AC. - Hoth nipple cannon: Cute representation. I'm iffy about them making micro buildings as opposed to vehicles, but this works. - AT-AT: Wow. Much improved over the 2012 version. - Hoth Rebel Trooper: Looks a lot whiter than previous versions. I guess if we're getting a UCS Echo Base he could make a nice supplement. - Probe Droid: Cute, but smaller than the Minifig-scale version. Would it have been too hard to put a "real" Probe Droid in the AC? - Hoth weapons rack: Meh. Throw it in the spare parts pile. - A Wing: WOW! Again, much improved over the 2011 version. - Millennium Falcon: Close to the 2011 version, but nicely tweaked. - Star Destroyer: Hmmm...I don't think it looks much better than the one we got in 2012. - IG-88: WOW! I'm surprised we're getting him outside of a regular set. Wish he had some printing on his head. - Weapons rack: Meh. - Another weapons rack: Again, meh. - Sarlaac Pit: Hah...he actually looks kind of cute. Not great for minifigure play, but cute. - Jabba's Barge: Wow. It vaguely captures the shape, but it's so small that I wish they hadn't bothered and made a T-16 instead. - Sandcrawler: Doesn't look quite right. I appreciate the effort, but it loses some of the box shape the real one has. - Jawa: Much needed--I don't own any Jawas and I'm not sure any were ever made outside the two giant Sandcrawler sets. I wish he came with a present to represent that one Lucasfilm Christmas Card. - Droid: I'm too lazy to look up his name, but he's cute and accurate. - R2-Reindeer: It's a regular R2, but with bonus antlers. (No idea where that piece comes from.) If you need an updated R2, this is it--just take the antlers off. - Sled: I can't...I don't even know what this is. It looks pretty simple. At least last year, Vader came with a chibi-looking Endor bike. I don't know what this is. I wish they'd made an effort to capture an iconic vehicle...maybe R2 and 3PO's escape pod. - Santa-3PO: He's cute. I probably won't bother putting the beard on mine. If you need printed 3PO legs, this is your chance. (Note that this is the first "good" Santa we've had in three years.) Also interesting: this is an entirely OT calendar. No PT in here, unless you want to count R2, 3PO, and the Jawa (yeah, there were Jawas in Episode I). So it's a buy for me, but man, the excess of weapons racks is killing me. Last year had, what, only one or two? It's like they're making up for lost time this year. Edited February 14, 2015 by ResIpsaLoquitur Quote
Sir von Lego Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 I only saw the one picture, no picture or info what minifigs are included. Price will be 69,99 - 79,99 EUR. Quote
Bolingbroke Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 That constraction jedi luke is a dead ringer for benedict cumberbatch. Quote
Robianco Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 I think that Advent Calendar looks really good. Micro builds are always a little bit hit and miss... most of these look good through. Nice to get another Jawa and a droid to add to the Sandcrawler. New Hoth Rebel Trooper looks nice so I'm sure that's a precursor to the possible Hoth set. Stormtrooper and a new Ewok are very welcome additions too. I like the variation of C3PO and the silver domed R2 is also quite nice although I'm sure most of us already have him but he was first in the Ewok Village set so nice to get that as it's normally been in very expensive sets. Weapons racks are also something I'm not too against getting as they supplement the need for weapons in the BPs while they have the stud shooters. Quote
Clone OPatra Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 The Flash Speeder and Tyderium look absolutely great. Great models, great minifigures, nuff said. As for everything else… Luke looks great in the Final Duel set, but the overall set isn't very interesting and the new Vader makes me want to simultaneously roll on the floor laughing and vomit in my mouth a little bit. Nice head print on him, but that helmet is just awful awful awful. The old one wasn't perfect by any means, but it was much better than this. The only thing this new Vader is good for is recreating helmetless-Vader dying. Naboo starfighter continues to rise in price while not offering anything interesting. The old $30 one that came with a Starfighter Droid was the best version, and unless they come out with another one for $30, there's no point. A Naboo Starfighter doesn't need all of this other pointless stuff included, nor does it need more pieces than that one had. Gozanti-class cruiser looks awfully dull. Not that it's a bad ship, but it's just not interesting enough to be turned into a $130 set. Capital ships like the Venator, ISD, even Republic Cruiser could have a case for being made, but this? Nobody, and I mean even kids, really wanted a $130 Gozanti cruiser. The color choices for Sabine also confound me - the helmet clearly looks pink in the show, not dark red by any means. The new Astromech is cool though. This Advent calendar to me looks the best ever minifigures-wise. Stormie, Jawa, and Ewok all previously available only in very expensive sets, not to mention the new cool Hoth trooper and newest R2 for those who don't have him already. It would be nice if they'd thrown in a standard C3PO torso too, but not the end of the world. Luke constraction figure looks great. Darth Vader… blech. His torso is a mess. Quote
DarthBrickus Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 I'll have to admit: i'm looking forward to Constraction-Boba Fett. Quote
Ceroknight Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 The sets look great! Starwars continue to have awesome minifigures. How is it that the UCS TIE costs the same as the Slave I? That seems odd to me. Vader Constraction figure looks good but I don't think I will spend money on any of them. Quote
wilson3a10 Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Wrong cheek of the vader's helmet. It should be level/parallel instead of being oblique Quote
Jacob_9821 Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 75096: Sith Infiltrator And: There will be 6 more Constraction Sets in December, all from the new Movie. That's the same number as the rumored Echo Base. Seems odd that legozebra, who posted the confidential set list, would be wrong about that. As so far, the list has been accurate. Not saying you're necessarily wrong about the new set, it's simply that there's contradictory information regarding the set numbers. If it is true, honestly it isn't too entirely surprising, we need a Darth Maul for the new Episode I line. We'll probably also see a Padme and Qui-Gon Jinn. Maybe this'll be the set that we finally get a Shmi Skywalker? One could hope. Quote
Bantha Fodder Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Oh wow. Tydirium, Final Duel and advent calendar looks great. But wait!!! Is that an unique TIE-fighter pilot with the UCS TIE-fighter? YES it is! Most TIE-pilots in the films have "plain" black helmets, but if you look closely, you can spot some pilots (officers? or elites?) that have unique markings. The one that comes with the UCS TIE is one of the unique pilots from ROTJ, (with two grey stripes running from the eyes). There is also another unique pilot in ROTJ with a grey "mohawk" on the top of the helmet, and others have "chipped" imperial emblems. And with the arm printing this is almost enough for me to buy that UCS-TIE alone... but I'll consider brick-linking the pilot if possible... Quote
Khaled Yousef Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 The UCS TIE looks bad, like a big bulk of nothing new, no interesting techniques, no clever curves, just straight forward lazy solutions for the solar fins and blocky slopes for the pod… terrible job on this one LEGO. And all I can say about that Luke Constraction figure is Quote
