Tariq j Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Advent Calender is probably one of the best we've had so far along side 2012. Quote
markw Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Han looks old Is that Nick Sant next to Leia? Quote
wilson3a10 Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 (edited) Perhaps I'm used to seeing the old mould Edited February 14, 2015 by wilson3a10 Quote
strangely Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Finally Princess Leia has her own face! Luke's last face was too detailed and now his new one is too simple, I love the irony. I love all the Naboo sets. They may not have a lot of new stuff but if you combine them together you can get a pretty good war out of them. New Anakin head is nice, but I wish they'd given him some new hair. Quote

Action figures: will not get. Vader ok, Luke - laughable/10 Calendar: maybe on a discount. those are severly overpriced. some useful figures - 6/10 Other sets: will not get. - TFA/10 2015 minifigs? http://www.jedinews....pageTitle=Photo All of these are old, except for the Tusken who is in the T-16 set Edited February 14, 2015 by Ephseb Quote
Jacob_9821 Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 2015 minifigs? http://www.jedinews....pageTitle=Photo That was posted a while back. And no, they're not 2015 minifigures. Those are all from 2014 and back. Quote
Clone 01354 Productions Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 My thoughts: 1) TIE is pretty much as expected. Sure, it looks nice, but it's really nothing all that special. I'll skip this one. 2) Final Duel looks great, and Vader is just incredible! The scars, the helmet..... And the face is spot on. Luke and Palpatine look pretty good too. A definite purchase! 3) Flash Speeder looks fine, but the price is hard to swallow. I might pick it up for the Naboo officer and guard, though. (And all that green!) 4) Tyderium looks INCREDIBLE! It's bigger than I thought, and every detail is spot on! The rebels looks great, Leia looks great (especially that face!). Definite purchase. 5) Imperial Assualt Carrier is.....meh. The ship itself looks decent at best, but the mini TIEs, clear-dome astromech look pretty nice......AND SABINE! While I am disappointed in the color choice (more of a red helmet instead of pink), it still looks great. But if her helmet is in a set next year, I'll skip this one. 6) Naboo Starfighter is pretty average. I never picked up any previous version, so I *might* get this. 7) Advent Calender is like any other one: full of rare minifigs that I need more of. I mean, really: Jawa, Stormtrooper (OT), Ewok.....I need them! 8)And so we finally see the constraction sets: just as terrible as I figured. I won't even consider these as a purchase. Quote
Khaled Yousef Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 (edited) Now that I’ve seen all the pictures, here is what I think: Tydirium: absolutely amazing design; superior to anything else LEGO has made for that ship, including the UCS one. The minifigs: Leia didn’t need a cloth camo, the previous version was just fine, Han is good and now I guess we have all his outfits covered, the rebel commandoes are in olive so they won’t match with the ones we have, thanks LEGO. Final Duel: nothing to say about the build. The minifigs aren’t that special, Vader’s helmet looks weird and might need some time to get used to, the Emperor is great (although I feel bad about buying the book version, but that’s personal) and Luke has a new torso which is awesome. Naboo Starfighter: everything about this set is extremely boring, same old design, same old minifigs, only one new torso for the pilot and that’s it… total crap set. Flash Speeder: nice design but slightle exaggerated to make it look more badass, and a good chance to get the Naboo guard in a cheaper set. Is Captain Tarpals purple? Weird! Advent Calendar: only one thing captured my attention; that Hoth Rebel Trooper fellow, FINALLY LEGO realized these guys wore white, you know, snow camo, not tan which was really stupid. I guess this makes the Echo Base rumor more plausible. Constraction: crap it’s a shame LEGO had to reside to this cheap approach to make more money. These mutants looks nothing like a LEGO product… this is a cheap and shameful move… and it doesn’t even look any good. Edited February 14, 2015 by Khaled Yousef Quote
pcsguy88 Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Interior of the Imperial Carrier is horrible. First time I've seen a built in handle detract from a set. http://news.toyark.com/2015/02/14/lego-star-wars-toy-fair-2015-150852 Quote
Jedi-Bendu Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Is that Nick Sant next to Leia? I was thinking the same....I guess it is! 75096: Sith Infiltrator Wait. What? That's the same number as the rumored Echo Base. Seems odd that legozebra, who posted the confidential set list, would be wrong about that. As so far, the list has been accurate. Not saying you're necessarily wrong about the new set, it's simply that there's contradictory information regarding the set numbers. If it is true, honestly it isn't too entirely surprising, we need a Darth Maul for the new Episode I line. We'll probably also see a Padme and Qui-Gon Jinn. Maybe this'll be the set that we finally get a Shmi Skywalker? One could hope. Exactly. What would this mean? a new Sith Infiltrator INSTEAD of EchoBase? Or....? Quote
ResIpsaLoquitur Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Anybody notice a lack of Microfighters? I guess they're done now? Quote
wilson3a10 Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Hope not. I want mini AT TE and slave Quote
Khaled Yousef Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Yeah, even though they were one of the bestselling toys last year, being affordable and awesomely designed, they decided to replace them with crap non-LEGO-like GALIDOR horror. Quote
Nom Carver Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 (edited) Tydirium: absolutely amazing design; superior to anything else LEGO has made for that ship, including the UCS one. I respect your opinion but this thing is ages away from the UCS, UCS stands for: ultimate collector series, the cockpit is weird and the fuselage is not sleek enough. Anybody notice a lack of Microfighters? I guess they're done now? I guess there is only room for one <insert that tiresome argument> theme at the time, I cant believe the planets were succeeded by these (microfighters and constraction). Edited February 14, 2015 by Nom Carver Quote
TheBrickHitHouse Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 The imperial shuttle is glorious. I have the UCS, but this thing is almost as good. Desperate to see the interior - it can clearly fit a crate, but what else... Quote
Khaled Yousef Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 (edited) Nom Carver: Ultimate Collectors Series doesn’t always stand for better design my friend; it’s easy to make big model if you have enough parts, designing a smaller yet accurate version is a bigger challenge. And the UCS Lambda Class Shuttle wasn’t very accurate despite the sheer size, the nose still looked very inaccurate and it lacked details over all. This one however looks more like an interesting and rich build in a challenging scale, that’s what I meant by saying it’s better than the others. Edited February 14, 2015 by Khaled Yousef Quote
scorchfire Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Oh wow. And with the arm printing this is almost enough for me to buy that UCS-TIE alone... but I'll consider brick-linking the pilot if possible... Well considering it has 300 less pieces than the slave 1 at the same price point, lazy design (basically just a big version of the last tie build) those little prints on the minifig are just not worth it. I will bricklink the pilot because of what you said, probably wont be past the 20 bucks tough Anybody notice a lack of Microfighters? I guess they're done now? There's only one wave of micro fighter per year, we already have this year's line up Quote
AudiBobaR5-D2 Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 (edited) Liking the new pics. Have to say that 75094 looks more and more better, plus the EP1 sets, 75106 and 75093, and the R3 astromech in 75106 too. I do hope that 75096 Sith Inflitrator rumor is true though. Edited February 14, 2015 by AudiBobaR5-D2 Quote
Jacob_9821 Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 I don't see why the lack of new Microfighters at Toy Fair is a huge surprise. The Winter wave sets from the next year, which is the standard release for Microfighters, are never shown off. Quote

coolguy2323 Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 (edited) I must say, despite me wanting more Prequel sets, I definitely am interested in Final Duel. That set looks awesome. Edited February 14, 2015 by coolguy2323 Quote
Sir von Lego Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 The 75096 Sith Infiltrator is what I Saw today in the German retailer catalogue. As it was not Shown anywhere until now, perhaps it was cancelled? But normally a cancelled set number remains unused, doesn't it? The Infiltrator was all in light grey with some Dark grey elements, and it looked more like 7663 than 7961, with Large wing parts. Greetings. Hendrik Quote
Jedi-Bendu Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Hmm.....it doesn't make any sense.... In june 5 sets are being released; all OT/PT/Rebels. The rest (all Ep7) is being released in september which is understandable because the movie is released in december. Why would they also release a PT set then? It's clearly not being released in june (otherwise there would be pix....just like the other 5 sets) and I don't think it's a UCS set. Quote
Clone 01354 Productions Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Wait a minute: the IAC is $130? Forget it, then. I thought it was $90, which was still pushing it, but $130 is way too much. Sorry, Sabine. Hopefully your helmet is released next year. So far, it looks like I'll be spending $200 for the winter and summer wave.....plus the $500 for the TFA sets. Quote
