Sir Gareth Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 (edited) The 75096 Sith Infiltrator is what I Saw today in the German retailer catalogue. As it was not Shown anywhere until now, perhaps it was cancelled? But normally a cancelled set number remains unused, doesn't it? The Infiltrator was all in light grey with some Dark grey elements, and it looked more like 7663 than 7961, with Large wing parts. Greetings. Hendrik Hmm.....it doesn't make any sense.... In june 5 sets are being released; all OT/PT/Rebels. The rest (all Ep7) is being released in september which is understandable because the movie is released in december. Why would they also release a PT set then? It's clearly not being released in june (otherwise there would be pix....just like the other 5 sets) and I don't think it's a UCS set. The Sith Infiltrator is likely a retailer/S@H exclusive set because those are never shown at Toy Fairs. Edited February 14, 2015 by Sir Gareth Quote
Sir von Lego Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Do WE know what the other Constraction sets will be in Oktober? Luke and Vader, each 19,99 EUR. So "who" will be the guy for 34,99 EUR? Quote

The 'really big TIE fighter' must be this: http://i.kinja-img.com/gawker-media/image/upload/s--nNhHzyL4--/qfabrtz7edzvafwwj8is.jpg It's all pretty much the ships I expected. I don't like reading that the Falcon is nearly the same as the 7965 though. Quote
James Wellington Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 My thoughts. -USC TIE Fighter: It's a bit blocky, it's a lot of money, too. I'm going to most likely skip this one. -Final Duel: I don't know. I'm not used to the new Vader. I like him, just not not used to him. I might skip this set. It depends. -Naboo Starfighter: I may get. I mean, I never got the 2012 one, and there's nothing really special about this one. I'd save I have a 50-50 chance of buying this. -Shuttle Tydirum: I am so getting this. It's better than I expected, and I love the minifigures in the set, even though I'll just kick them out and make it Imperial -Imperial Assault Carrier: I like this ship, and it'll be a good add to my growing Imperial Fleet. I wish that they got rid of that awful brown symbol on the Imperial Officer's hat. I don't really care about the Mandalorian Rebel "Sabine", and I dislike that Agent Kallus guy, so I only want the ship, the pilots, officer and that awesome astromech droid! -Those figure things: Luke and Vader battle figure things... one word for me to describe them is awful. I don't like it, defiantly not getting. -Naboo Flash Speeder: I'm so getting! I love the flash speeder, especially in Episode 1 when it attacks the droids. I like the Naboo Security people. Especially the Royal Guard (the one without the cap, the one with the more "helmty" hat) -Overall thoughts: I like most of the new sets with the pictures released. But let's not forget, there's still more to come. My wallet's going to be busted by the end of summer Quote

I wish they had a normal Rebels Imperial Officer. A bit like the OT Officer, but "rebelized". And I never saw him on one of those in series. I'll just consider him a random Imperial Officer, as well as the one I already have from the TIE Advanced Prototype. Edited February 14, 2015 by James Wellington Quote
Sir von Lego Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Could it be that the echo base UCS will be 75098? Or do we have a set for this number? Quote
Navy Trooper Fenson Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Han looks old Literally no different from the one they use since January 2014. Do you even play with your Lego? I am delighted and pissed to see that the Advent Calendar includes a white Hoth Rebel like I always wanted. Shame that I now have to sell a number of my old tan/dark tan Rebels from the 2010 battlepacks and there still is the question when or if we are going to get a new battlepack. I hope the 2016 BPs are Snwotrooper/Hoth Rebels and the two factions from episode 7. Also nice to finally see a 100% useful advent calendar that isn´t made up of recycled garbage parts. 2014s with the old style Snowtrooper was a really obvious spit in the face with the new version exclusive to the AT-AT while everybody should by now already have 10 Snowtroopers from the felt 20 sets with them. Final duel looks very good, nice windows and general pieces but I still would like to know why the 1x2 cheese pieces are dark tan. Don´t really know what to do with it since I wanted to keep my display of the final duel to my 10188 Death Star but I guess you can´t have enough grey pieces, the windows can be used for a mod and I am not going to buy the set straight away anyway. Figure selection is a bit weird but inescapable. Palpatine is apparently identical to the book one. Shows at least that Lego isn´t that strict with exclusive figures when they can´t make another redesign/version. Luke is nice together with the one from Endor village but I don´t like how many white lines his torso has when in the movie it was pitch black. It´s this weird level of detail that Lego incorporates lately so their figures end up looking nothing like in the movie like all the Boba Fetts since 2010. Vader has a nice and new helmet but it looks like the new Tusken Raider more like somebody who stuck the head of an actionfigure onto a Lego fig. At least the pointy chin bit will be useful. Funnily enough my plan was buying the 2007 and 2012 Naboo Starfighters and using parts to make one who would be more screenaccurate but it seems like this new one has made exactly the same tweaks that I planned. Figure selection could have been better, it´s nice of Lego to stop doing a new Droideka every month but they should have come up with a good design first and not one that barely looks like the real thing. Oh well, I can still use the parts to make my 100% accurate and extremely fragile Droideka if I somehow find some additional dark grey battle droid torsos and dark grey minifig hands. Good pilot finally but Anakin could have used a dark tan version of the bob cut from the russian woman of the Indiana Jones line and I would like to know why they felt the need to include Obi-Wan on his own with no separate Qui-Gon Jinn. Should have been a Naboo soldier like from the Flash Speeder. The Flash Speeder is ugly as hell, I would like to know how they were able to mess up the shape so bad when it was essentially a square with slightly rounded sides all this time. It really didn´t need to be this big. They should have included more Naboo soldiers instead. I hope we will at some point get a good Naboo BP finally because I can´t seem myself getting one of this things. The Lambda Shuttle has a good design. Not quite as flashy, accurate and detailed as the UCS one but I prefer this one just for the smooth/Lego style of the wings which the UCS shuttle didn´t have because of the technic beams with their rounded edges giving the wings dents all over the place. Figures could have been more included for the price and size but I don´t feel the need to replace my sand green rebel soldiers with the new ones anyway. All in all a pretty great wave, far better than 2014 or 2012. Quote
Darth Punk Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Could it be that the echo base UCS will be 75098? Or do we have a set for this number? Could be as it is still open. I never remember a rumor including a set number for the echo base. Quote
ghostmind Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 The original 2015 plan leak did not state a set number for Hoth Echo Base. I'm thinking that Sir von Lego is correct and 75096 is indeed the Sith Infiltrator, which will be a retailer-exclusive, and Echo Base will be 75098. After all, that white Rebel Hoth Trooper had to come from somewhere. Quote
smkaemp Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Sad to see they are using the (in my opinion) terrible droidekas once again. Quote

smkaemp Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 and hasnt lego learned their lesson? I still see the Iron Man and Captain America action figures in the clearance aisle at my walmart. Who wants these things? Cause if I were choosing between a LEGO cheesy looking Darth Vader or a nice detailed Hasbro Darth Vader action figure for less, I'm going actual action figure 100% of the time. Big (!) pix of the new Vader http://www.rebelscum...ego/image93.asp http://www.rebelscum...ego/image90.asp these are great pictures! Really nice to see a two piece helmet like this! I'm excited for this fig! Quote

lomis Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 a quick question: are those stud shooters on the Top and bottom of the Imperial Assault Carrier new? Or are they the hand-held version mounted in some way I can't see? Quote
Artizan Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 The new Vader's face looks a lot like Sebastian Shaw, and he even has his pre-ultimate edition eyebrows! Darth Vader: "Now, go my designer, leave me..." Lego Designer: "No, I am going to make you perfect!" Darth Vader: "You already have...You were right. You were right about me. Tell the Afol community... you were right." Quote
ArrowBricks Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Tydirium and Final Duel are definitely buys for me as they look superb! :classic: The only draw for the Flash Speeder is the figures, however I probably wont buy for £30 especially with the Episode 7 sets. I have the 2011 version of the Naboo Starfighter so I wont pick that one up. However I can see people liking It. The Rebels set for me feels like there is something wrong with it, it just doesn't look right. The helmet for Sabine is disappointing as well. Saves me money though for Episode 7! UCS Tie Fighter looks good! Rumoured Sith Infiltrator doesn't interest me as I already have it. Have to wait and see if it's that or Hoth Echo Base, which looks to be hinted in the Calendar. Not even going to go on about the big figures... Bring on the Episode 7 sets! Quote
Fives Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Finally, the day has arrived! Lets begin! UCS TIE Fighter: While I will not buy this, I must say I am very impressed. Its not that theres anything especially new or exciting about the TIE, just that LEGO has once again done such a stellar job with the UCS line. Death Star Final Duel: This is the best set of the wave by far, in my opinion. They've captured the essence of the scene so perfectly, and the minifigs VADER IS PERFECT! That new helmet is so perfect and amazing! My only worry is that, from the pictures, it looks more like the rubbery plastic rather than hard ABS plastic, but I doubt I'm right. Luke looks great, and its damn nice to see they've done away with the weird 2014 face. However, I will say that the 2014 Luke face, I think, actually looks better for ROTJ Luke, because he looks far more aged in ROTJ compared to his appearance in both ANH and ESB. Its also a nice touch that LEGO gave Sheev a new face print. The one from the book doesn't have an expression that doesn't show teeth, so thats nice. Definite buy. Flash Speeder: Its nice that we're finally seeing this vehicle again after so long, but it feels too little too late. Sure, its cool having some new Naboo Guards and a proper Captain Tarpals fig, but with all the new stuff coming out with Rebels and The Force Awakens, these prequel sets kinda feel like white noise. However, the set itself looks great and has some fantastic play value, and of course its a great companion set for all the other recent Trade Federation sets of late. Naboo Starfighter: Pretty much the same review as the speeder. Shuttle Tydirium: Like the Final Duel, this is a definite buy. The ship itself is huge and splendiferous, but THOSE FIGS Han looks great, the Rebel troopers look stealer, but Leia steal the show for me. Not only do we get a new face print (which looks great), she has a cloth poncho! Makes me wonder what she looks like underneath (don't be cheeky ) Assault Carrier: Trash. Pure Trash. The only figures that would even be of any kind of draw to the set are Sabine and Kallus, which are both variants are already existing figs. Sure, that astromech is neat, but who cares! And the ship itself just looks so bland. Sure, its not like the ship looks pretty in the show anyway, but it just feels lame. I'm glad I didn't have high hopes for this one! Buildable Figures: Now THESE are cool. Its already obvious that the characters with skin showing will not translate as well as Vader or Fett, but that doesn't change the fact that these sets breathe some new life into LEGO Star Wars. I always loved the buildable figures LEGO has done over the years (I got really into the Knights Kingdom figs when I was younger), so seeing Star Wars get the Bionicle treatment is fresh and exciting. I likely won't get many of these, but it makes me smile because these will be a smash hit with younger kids. At least I hope so. Quote
Darth Malgus Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Quite like the photo's from toyfair Looking forward to getting the sets when they come out. Quote
ChrisBurns Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Actually that's not Han's face - that one over there is Han, as mentioned by Jedi-Bendu It's different, just look: The new one has line at the sides of the mouth. Those lines make him look clearly older. Quote
James Wellington Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Oh yeah. That's a common Rebel Commando face that's on Han. That face has been in three versions of Rebel Commandos. I see Han's face on that Rebel Commando over there. Quote
Lobot Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Both the Luke & Darth Battle figures look awful, what were TLG thinking? I honestly wouldn't have guessed that was actual LEGO, it just looks like a cheap and horrible! However, I'm very impressed by both the Imperial Shuttle and Final Duel, definate buys for me. I'm also tempted by the Advent Calendar as well; surely the new Rebel Trooper is confirmation of a new Hoth Set? Quote
