James Wellington Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 (edited) When will we see images of TFA sets? I hope soon, but I don't think anyone but the people at LEGO know that. Probably a bit later, but I'm sure they'll come out some time considering the sets come out in September. Edited February 16, 2015 by James Wellington Quote
LEGOMAN132 Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 Not a huge fan of those Galidor figures. Quote
scorchfire Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 Definitively not 30$ awesome. And that is the US price witch is always the cheapest one with UK price. I could see children wanting this but will the parent be willing to pay 30$ (in the best case) for one action figure? You can get bionicle that look cooler for less and actually look like Lego. And if you absolutely want Star Wars you can get real action figure also for less. I personally don't like them but I can see why other would. The real problem I have with these is the price. This, definitely this. I don't even know which market are they trying to tackle with these figures. I mean I love bionicle, but this is everything whats wrong with constraction. That vader does look somewhat ok, but I can get a better actual figure for less than 30 bucks Quote
Nom Carver Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 (edited) There are videos of the new sets at FBTB: http://www.fbtb.net/...ive/#more-32119 It looks like it will be a little tricky to get the figs into the shuttle, and the wings fold one at the time, I have no problem with that. TeufelHund Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 I've been waiting for a system version for years but was hoping for a Shuttle with Imperials over Rebel Scum but will admit the figures provided are nice and will add some variety to my existing troupe of Endor Rebels. The Final Duel is a nice looking set, but I already have several versions of all the figs so can't see myself buying this one. No interest in Episode I so some money saved there - thanks TLG! Quote
joebiwankenobi Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 I'm surprised how well the shuttle's interior turned out, and that it has a cargo box containing thermal detonators. Definite buy. Quote
Tariq j Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 (edited) Do we know when these sets are going to be released? Edited February 16, 2015 by Tariq j Quote
markw Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 Wow, look at the space in that imperial shuttle! I assumed that area would be full of technic bits. Quote
lomis Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 Do we know when these sets are going to be released? The card next to the Imperial Shuttle said "June". Quote
rollermonkey Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 Tyderium looks even better than I could have hoped for. I mean, room in the cockpit for two, room in the back for 3+, folding wings, retractable landing gear and a completely appropriate selection of figures. Simply cannot ask for more unless you want a complete second set of figures to do Palpatine's Arrival. (Palp, 2 Imperial Guards and 2 pilots) Final Duel looks pretty nice. Much better than the similar prequel trilogy duel sets. Imperial Assault Carrier - I must like Rebels more than you guys, but I thought this is fantastic. Launch mechanisms for the TIEs, rotation mechanism for the turrets, a huge interior that can be modified however I choose and a good selection of Imperial minifigs... And Sabine Wren with both hair and helmet options. And the ship looks very accurate to the show. UCS TIE - Again, I like this more than the consensus opinion. Advent Calendar - Continuing the trend of disagreeing, I think this looks awful. The figures are all good, but the mini-builds all look boring to me. One item of note, though. There is one mini-build that I think people were calling a weapons rack, the one with two stud-shooter guns? I think that isn't a weapons rack, but actually a square laser defense tower from the Trench run scene in ANH, and if so, THAT is cool as hell! Quote
bjorn77 Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 I'm going to have to sell off the rebel minifigs and get an imperial crew for the Tyderium, but other than that, it looks like an almost perfect system set. Quote
Tariq j Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 Lomis: Thanks for the information. Overall, I've got to say this is a strong wave. Quote
markw Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 I'm going to have to sell off the rebel minifigs and get an imperial crew for the Tyderium, but other than that, it looks like an almost perfect system set. Remember me in June and I'll buy your Rebels off you to bulk out my army ;) Thats the beauty of it though, won't need much customising to become an Imperial shuttle. Crew, and er, thats it! Quote
Corydoras Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 (edited) The shuttle looks really nice, even though the cockpit seems a bit too big. Constraction Vader is awesome - an instant buy for me! Not so sure about Luke, though. Constraction system fits droids, cyborgs and characters who wear armor (remember, we'll be getting Jango Fett, Grievous and Cody as well!), but regular human characters not so much. Luke's head is markhamillish enough, but the rest of the body, expecially the crotch area, seems kinda lackluster. Edited February 16, 2015 by Corydoras Quote
Risgrynsgrot Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 The shuttle is absolutely beautiful! I seriously believe it's about as goodlooking as the UCS model. Quote
Aethersprite Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 So glad the Tydirium has an interior. Guaranteed buy for me, my most wanted set of the summer. Quote
Darth Punk Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 The shuttle is absolutely beautiful! I seriously believe it's about as goodlooking as the UCS model. The Tydirium is the clear winner this summer. It will make for a nice standin for my emporer's arrival scene. The final duel layout bothered me at first but it's grown on me. And DV looks great. As for the rest, meh. Quote
Darth Nader Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 The shuttle is absolutely beautiful! I seriously believe it's about as goodlooking as the UCS model. Is there any way to remove the top to have more room for messing around with the interior? I don't think two small flaps is enough, but either way the set is still awesome. Quote
wilson3a10 Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 (edited) lol I'm eager to getting this set now. Edited February 16, 2015 by wilson3a10 Quote
WickNole Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 Just wondering... Does the WHITE Rebel Hoth Trooper in the advent calendar mean that we'll have a re-design? Although, quite a nice one. Quote

Clone 01354 Productions Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 lol I'm eager to getting this set now. Man, Final Duel looks like it's falling apart! Stairs explode, catwalk collapses, minifigs are launched to their death..... Quote

Zzz Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 A few comments on the OT harvest: The shuttle is my favorite set of 2015, it is just amazing. Interior space, great minifigs, landing gear, great looks from all angles and it is huge! I'm just missing Endor Luke and a helmet for Leia would have been nice. They seriously need to make an Endor Luke poly or include it in some future Endor / Ewok / speeder bike set. The black version from the final duel doesn't replace it too well, as he needs the camo poncho. The Final Duel seems to be a good playset, but doesn't stand a chance against the cantina from last year (same price probably). There is just not that much to do except reenacting the ... surprise - final duel! Perhaps adding some rather new minifigs would have helped. And I wonder how things are decided at TLC, regarding new minifigs. But giving us royal guards that were just in a battle pack - in which the didn't belong first of all - is a rather strange move. Sure they belong to the scene, but couldn't they have known 2 years ago that they're going to make this set? Besides that, the DS battle pack should have had a Stormtrooper, a DS trooper, officer and gunner anyway. The calendar seems a bit more interesting than the one from last year. Stormtrooper, Ewok, Jawa! Printed 3PO legs are very welcome and another R2 is also not too bad. Just not sure what to think about the white Hoth trooper. Are they all going to be white now in the new Hoth set? I always thought there are some with darker clothes, brown pants as well. It is a nice figure, though. I just hope they throw them together nicely and not make them all white. We'll see. In general, about OT, I seriously hope they might design an own OT box style to set the line apart from PT, ST, EU, CW, Rebels, UCS. (Not that I expect we are getting any CW anytime anymore) I dislike the Clones, Yodas, Mauls on the box so much and I would wish they return to an updated 1999 / 10th anniversary box. That was legendary, all other boxes not. And the excuse that they have to follow the package guide is nonsense, once you take a look at Hasbro: Black Series, Kenner style. Having said all this, I am afraid OT sets will becoming less and less in the next years with Disney riding the SW horse (to death) and releasing a new movie every year. UCS sets will stay OT probably, but I personally will miss the many middle and lower priced OT sets a lot, they were always fun. Quote
