Faefrost Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Did anyone catch this in the most recent Rebels Episode? Is this the first time we have actually seen the Stormtrooper Transport on screen and officially in cannon? And if so does it presage a new version of http://brickset.com/...l-Landing-Craft I know we keep hearing about some new Stormtrooper transport? I wonder if it might not be quite what we are expecting? Quote
GuyDudeMan27 Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 It was in the Ep. IV special edition. I'd love a new version, but I highly doubt it. I just finished building my version (albeit in LDD) and I'd hate to have the same thing that happened to the imperial shuttle happen again. (I had just finished mine when the official version was released) Quote

GuyDudeMan27 Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 I believe we also saw it in the Star Wars Rebels episode called "Gathering Forces". We've seen it a few times in rebels. He mentioned those in his first post. The only other instance was Ep IV. Quote
Darth Caedus Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 is there going to be more then 1 rebels set this summer. Nope, the Gozanti class Cruiser looks to be the last Rebels set this year. I'd be shocked if we don't get at least one more in January 2016, but with the focus on TFA, the earliest "sure" date for more Rebels would be Summer 2016 (since the show will be going strong and we'll have over a dozen TFA kits by then, in all likelihood). ChiefPie Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 It's possible that we see a new one. But the stormtrooper transport your talking about is probably the one from the force awakens teaser. Quote

Sir Gareth Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 And a rumored Sith Infiltrator this year. Quote
Flieger Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Nope, the Gozanti class Cruiser looks to be the last Rebels set this year. That just blows. It is like Lego is only covering the first few episodes of the show, and then let it go. So many vehicles, locations, and characters left undone until at least next year? I had hoped for the Imperial Gunship with Tarkin in battle armour, his Stormtrooper guards, and a pilot. (I think it would even sell well). Did the Clone Wars also have such a poor line-up when it was in its first seasons? Quote

Clone Wars had a lot of sets dedicated to it, but I think rebels is getting the shaft because of Ep. VII. Quote

Exactly 11 out of 22, mini-sets included. However, in 2009 it was the strong majority. I think the main reason we aren't seeing loads of sets from Rebels is simply Episode VII. This ends up being a good and bad thing. That means we'll see a bit more of an equal representation of all parts of the universe. In the sense that this winter was mostly Rebels with some AOTC, then early Summer is for the ROTJ and PM, and then for the late summer we get Episode VII. However, sets like the Naboo Starfighter and the rumored Sith Infiltrator are both sets we've had beforehand, which we got fairly recently. Yet, maybe the Rebels sets don't sell as much as a Naboo Starfighter or an Imperial Shuttle. Whatever the case, it's a disappointing turn of events for this wonderful series. Clone 01354 Productions Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 I know we keep hearing about some new Stormtrooper transport? I wonder if it might not be quite what we are expecting? Well, the Stormtrooper Transport is just a rumor, based off a ship from TFA. But if it ends up being true, we have no clue what it would look like. We've only seen the inside, where all the Stormtroopers were lined up and preparing for battle, so it could look like anything. Quote

I can imagine the Ghost and Phantom initially did not sell that well, as the show had not yet aired. It would be intresting to know if the show's run improved the sales and how the recently released Rebels sets do. Anyway, I am ok with an equal representation for most of the time. It is just when a show debuts I'd expect Lego to capitalize on it. I mean Lego did a fairly good job with the Rebels sets so far. The most important vehicles and characters are all there. Just the Gozanti is a weird choice for a summer set. It almost comes across as a leftover from the winter wave being from the early show, rather than a set based on the progressing story of the show, like a season 2 vehicle. Quote

Sir Gareth Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 (edited) What? Did I miss this? I haven't seen anything about a Sith Infiltrator...? Sir von Lego saw it in the German retailer catalogue. The 75096 Sith Infiltrator is what I Saw today in the German retailer catalogue. As it was not Shown anywhere until now, perhaps it was cancelled? But normally a cancelled set number remains unused, doesn't it? The Infiltrator was all in light grey with some Dark grey elements, and it looked more like 7663 than 7961, with Large wing parts. Greetings. Hendrik Edited February 22, 2015 by Sir Gareth Quote

(I think it would even sell well). Did the Clone Wars also have such a poor line-up when it was in its first seasons? Yes and no. The problem is the time lag it takes to design sets. So the first waves of a new series tend to be based on very early episodes only and preliminary info. So when Lego designed what they have released from Rebels they had art design from maybe the first 3-6 episodes tops. TCW was the same way. We had a fairly large initial wave, but it was all based on stuff seen very early on. It then took 2-3 release cycles before Lego can catch up and start pulling from the deeper episode pool. I am sure we will see more.mby all accounts Rebels toy merchandise seems to seek well. Heck Hasbro is having issues actually getting the stuff out there fast enough. (As opposed to the rather horrid Star Wars Command stuff which nobody wants). What? Did I miss this? I haven't seen anything about a Sith Infiltrator...? The retailer exclusives tend to not show up until very late. Remember we did not know about things like the Azure Angel or Palpatines Arrest until much later than everything else. Retailer exclusives are not shown at toy fairs. I can imagine the Ghost and Phantom initially did not sell that well, as the show had not yet aired. It would be intresting to know if the show's run improved the sales and how the recently released Rebels sets do. Anyway, I am ok with an equal representation for most of the time. Just from eyeballing it I would say the Ghost has sold well at retail. Not so much the Phantom. The other Rebels sets seem to disappear from shelves quickly by me. Especially the Imperial stuff. The Tie Advance is hard to find. Quote
Hellfyre Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Personally, I do wish they've come up with something other than the fourth Sith Infiltrator, something we haven't seen before or hasn't been remade yet. I would have suggested a Theed Palace duel set, but that may compete with the Final Duel set. Maybe a remake of the Cloud Car? Just something a bit more fresh. The Flash Speeder will be an instant buy, but it will need modding. It's far too big - should be two seated, not four seated. And the gun is very boxy. Otherwise, it is a solidly designed set. Maybe it would have been a better idea for TLG to have swapped price points with this and the spring AAT, which is undersized - a £40 AAT would have been more satisfying, and a £25 Flash Speeder would have been perfect. I agree. A Cloud Car, maybe TIE Bomber, something like that. A set that's only been out 1 or 2 times, and the 2nd or 1st time was a long time ago. Also, I think the flash speeder could've been a bit cheaper. Quote
