Tariq j Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 ^^ Agreed, the OT version definitely wins when it comes to the best. Quote

legofreak86 Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Do you know what would be cool, if they do another inquisitor, they could easily make it a variant. Change the angry face to a confident smirk and include the lightsaber with only half the guard on the hilt with a single blade, as in the show the saber changes depending on what he wants, it springs another guard on the hilt and releases a second blade. Lego have given us that version, hopefully we'll get the other version. It would be cool to see Tarkin also as we haven't had an updated one in years and this is the perfect time to get one. I would imagine lego will carry this on alongside the movies like they did with clone wars and like they do with marvel's sets as the show has already been confirmed a second season in the planning, rumored to span 22 episodes rather than the first season's 13. I could see rebels lasting as long as clone wars and lego making as many sets personally. Quote

I hate the current one because of how it fits into a Minifigure's hand. I would also love a new Tarkin. He's been in three episodes, so he's a worthy candidate. It's a nice idea but I think lego have you about expended their mould limit (is there one?) in preparation for the TFA sets later this year, which will require a lot. I don't think it's likely, but who knows. Lego have done some strange things Quote

Sir Gareth Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 (edited) Why would they be with a bunch of new molds and head printings? It's just a reseller on Taobao. There were also some Lord of the Rings heads and an armor from Man of Steel. Edited February 28, 2015 by Sir Gareth Quote

In 2015, Rebels will have completed its second season, perhaps be in its third. With TFA getting most of the attention and Lego already being behind one or two seasons in providing sets for Rebels, I am not confident that Lego can cover the show as well as they covered TCW. Worse: if there is not third season, Lego's interest in making sets for the show will be even lower. The only upside I see is that Lego can have a look at the on-screen models and colours, and get them 100% right. That being said, I can imagine a lot of wonderful characters: Lando, Fulcrum (identity revealed; I won't spoiler ), Tarkin, Vader (new mould for the Rebels' helmet style), Bail, and who knows who will show up in the next season(s). More ANH Imperials, like Motti, or more ANH Rebels, or old TCW characters like Hondo. We also need more Stormtrooper variants. Give the toy makers what they want... Quote

Christmas 2015 will be halftime for season 2 and the season is confirmed with 22 episodes as it is standard for cartoons and 13 episodes only happens when the channel wants to cancel the show or has other production problems like having to make a cartoon ready to air in only 1,5 years and normally shows don´t air episodes of three different seasons within a single year. I guess Rebels will take a backseat to the new trilogy depending on how well the show does or how much attention Disney wants to put from the show to the new movies. This isn't really news. The Medical Droid is from the 2011 Hoth Echo Base set and Hoth Han was the May 4th promo two years ago. There aren´t really any things they could change about 2-1B so I wouldn´t put it past them to reuse it in the set and Han also has a tiny room for changes. I would say they either give him a different head or the coat reverts to dark blue with the same print/lines but I put my money on him just having a different head. Quote
Flieger Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Christmas 2015 will be halftime for season 2 Really? Can you give me a link please? Last info I had was the Season 2 premiere at the SW Celebration Anaheim in April 2015. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Star_Wars_Rebels:_Season_Two Will they postpone the actual airing of the season so long? I know the TCW seasons were aired between September and March, but I hoped with a premiere as early as April that we might get a summer season. Quote

They are only showing the premiere, season 2 isn't supposed to return until the fall 2015. A winter 2016 wave of rebels thus would make more sense. Patience is a virtue. Quote

We are currently in 2015 are we not? So yeah 2016 i would imagine more rebel sets as season 2 will be about half way through. Its rumoured that Palpatine will return in season 2 voiced by tim curry. Flieger Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 You're right, 2015/2016. If Disney shows Rebels next winter, it indeed makes sense to release the S2-Rebels sets in the winter wave. (Although I still dislike the lack of S1 sets in 2015). Quote
BrickJagger Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 I really hope that the Ep7 sets have as many location-based sets as they do vehicle sets. I know it's unlikely, but location based sets interest me more than ships. Really looking forward to pictures. Quote
Khaled Yousef Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Second that, location based sets, which contains vehicles of some sort, are usually better than just a vehicle or starship. 4502 X-wing with Yoda’s hut is a good example on how to make a starship set more interesting, it was much better than 6212 which had the ship alone. I wish all Episode VII vehicles and starships would come with some sort of new location. Quote
rollermonkey Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 The bigger problem is that Lego does not do any new Rebels sets this year other than the Gozanti. Huh? Just because some countries get sets at different times doesn't remove the fact that the wave released around January 1st is THIS YEAR, and included a fair number of Rebels sets. It looks a bit too small now. An improvement, yes. Perfect, no. I guess TLG will never satisfy us AFOLs. I've been saying that since I came out of the dark ages about SW-AFOLs. Quote

Please bear with me, English is not my first language. When I said "new" sets other than the Gozanti, I was referring to the not yet released sets of the summer wave. Of course I have acknowledged that this year's winter wave included Rebels sets, actually I have praised some of them and discussed the (odd) colour choices of the minifigs. So it is not like I would ignore them. What I am complaining about is that we only get one new set with no new characters; only variations of minifigs - variations which we, imho, should have had in the winter wave (Sabine's helmet e.g.). If only the minifig selection would be different... Quote
Sir von Lego Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 75096 Sith Infiltrator will include: Darth Maul Watto Joung Anakin Astromech Qui Gon Jin But I cannot find any info in the catalogue but the picture, the box picture and minifigure selection. The set isn't mentioned in the price list, so could it Happen to be cancelled? Quote
