namioik Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 Really surprised I haven't seen this posted here, unless I'm just blind. Definitely getting a new Darth Maul. http://i.imgur.com/t0voQdP.jpg Like you said, you must be blind haha because it was posted on Thursday Quote
Something_Awesome Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 Reserve judgement until you see the contraction sets in person. They look great. I thought the obi-wan looked awesome in person. Quote
Clone OPatra Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 The new Vader helmet really does seem much better suited to being a Rebels depiction of the character. Vader in Rebels has a kind of comically elongated head. I still think the new LEGO helmet looks too silly, but since Vader in Rebels looks silly, I can buy it as being that. Quote
Flieger Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 BUMMM! REBELS SEASON 2 TRAILER!! Great! Salt in the wound though. ... we only get an early Season 1 Gozanti, while all the nice sets and characters shown in late Season 1 and now Season 2 will have to wait until next year. If they ever come. Quote
Tariq j Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 Don't know whether its just me but the Jango Fett figure looks somewhat odd he looks to bulky for my liking. Quote
Clone 01354 Productions Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 Ugh, I knew they were going to dig up Rex....I just don't get why everyone loves him. He was just a generic, no-nonsense captain. And Hondo Ohnaka....apparently, he is such a fan favorite that they just had to bring him back. ANYWAY, I cannot wait to get some ships from Season 2 in LEGO form. The Corellian corvette, the A-Wings, all the different troopers.....Season 2 will be great for amy building. Quote

Made a couple screengrabs from yesterday's HD image releases, highlighting one very new vehicle and a couple of others... Is Sabine still around, modifying/painting TIEs? That forward viewport sure isn't the one we're used to. If they ever come. I am to understand that we have a number of sets codenamed "Wolf" for later this year... which are all Rebels sets. There are seven of them. Wolf is Dave Filoni's code name (it's cool to have a code name). I'm hoping for a spread of both season 1 and 2 elements in said wave. Anyone catch the Lego panel from Celebration? They showed some clips from the upcoming Droid Tales series. Not too bad... and you have to wonder if there any future sets or elements in them... Cloud (cough) City. It's here at or around the 7:20:00 mark. Edited April 18, 2015 by darththeling Quote

Weren't those confirmed to just be the Episode VII line? I'm pleasantly surprised with Jango, better than I expected. The Sand blue was really key if they wanted to pull him off correctly. Quote

But I was under the impression those were TFA sets... What are you talking about? The Gozanti is a very prominent part of the finale episode. The Gozanti has also been prominently featured in the early season, especially with Kallus on board (Droids in Distress e.g.). Has Kallus been seen near a Gozanti in the final episode? Nope. Is any late season figure included (Tarkin, his Stormtroopers, Ahsoka etc.)? Nope. So why would we assume it is supposed to be a late season set? Quote

karmajay Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 Yes it would be awesome to have some of those season 2 Rebels. I would pay for the B-wing again if it was all red! Quote
ISDAvenger Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 I attended the panel for Lego Star Wars, it was the same dry, boring, presentation. They really need to revamp it and put guys in there that have some energy and can put together a entertaining power point presentation. Unless you are after collecting the Star Tots it is a waste of time. Quote

The red paint might signify this? The TIE fighters from the trailer appear to have a normal windscreen. Quote
DarkKnight7 Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 Hey guys, so I was at Star Wars celebration and took some pics. I don't think I've seen any good picks of the new Vader with his helmet off, so I took one for you guys. Also snapped a couple pics of the green speeder (I think a lot of people are anticipating it). Not sure if my pics will help answer any concerns that some people may have about the set that prior pics did not reveal, so here are those. I also have to say that the new Shuttle is quite big. I don't think that any of the pics/footage do it justice. With regards to Endor Leia, I always thought that her torso had a greenish/olive hue to it (based on the pics I have seen of the shuttle). It's actually a tan torso. I have pics if interested. Not a fan of the green speeder at all, though. Oh, and the contraction figures looked great. EDIT: I just noticed I had this pic as well. For anyone interested in a size comparison of the naboo fighter and green speeder :P Hmm, just noticed it comes with a set of stairs to enter the vehicle. Nice. I know people have whined about the Final Duel here and there, but personally, I think it's finally the version of the figs that I've always wanted - this is the version of Luke from Return of the Jedi I always wanted, I always wanted Darth Vader to have a helmet that could come off like it does here with a head more like the one seen on the Shuttle bay. Plus the set build looks so much like the Emperor's chamber. I can't wait to get my hands on it, myself. Quote

Has Kallus been seen near a Gozanti in the final episode? Nope. Is any late season figure included (Tarkin, his Stormtroopers, Ahsoka etc.)? Nope. So why would we assume it is supposed to be a late season set? This is the kind of nitpickyness from SW fans that drives me nuts. The Lothal Rebel cell used a Gozanti to try and rescue Kanan in the finale. Pretty sure a kid could/would stretch his imagination that far to reenact that. Tarkin isn't on the cruiser, he arrives by Lambda-Class shuttle, so by your own logic, that wouldn't make sense. Putting Ahsoka in it would have ruined her surprise arrival in the finale, so her not being there is perfectly OK by me, since we saw the set long before the finale aired. She pilots the Ghost anyways, so again, including her wouldn't make sense. Sabine is seen on the ship in both the first AND last episodes so her inclusion doesn't limit the set to representing only episode 1. Edited April 19, 2015 by rollermonkey Quote
DarthTwoShedsJackson Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 BUMMM! REBELS SEASON 2 TRAILER!! Exciting! Did anybody notice that Sabine's hair is coloured differently in Season 2? Call me an old cynic, but I suppose this is done not primarily for artistic reasons, but to milk more money from toy collectors... Quote

Putting CW characters in Rebels.....not a good idea imho. It's great for those of us who will possibly be able to get normal minifigures of Clone Wars characters now though. I loved the series, but hated the cartoony style of the minifigures. The prospect of getting Ahsoka and Honda as minifigures which can fit in with any other star wars set makes me so hyped. Unfortunately, the chances of getting a Rebels At-AT and B-Wing seem relatively low next year, as they will still be in production, at least for a while. But do you guys think there's a chance of getting sets like the A-Wings or AT-TE, which were last made in 2013? Edit: THOSE TWO NEW INQUISITORS ARE AWESOME! Really hope they'll come in a set! There are some of us old OT fanatics to whom Ahsoka is the best thing that happened to SW since the elder days Quote

Putting CW characters in Rebels.....not a good idea imho. The Clone Wars for all the hatred it is getting has contributed towards the SW universe quite a lot with various vehicles, characters, etc. It has helped to explain a lot of things that remained a mystery from the 6 films. As for putting CW characters in Rebels...why not?? It makes sense as far as continuity goes and it also is interesting to know what happened to all those iconic clones. Considering the fact that Disney pulled the plug on Clone Wars, the Rebels is the logical place to develop or explain the future of some CW characters. Quote
Fulcrumfan91 Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 Wow I really think the Clone Wars gets way too much hatred here...it is an excellent tv show, despite the fact that its target audience are children...same with Rebels...what is wrong with having Captain Rex/Hondo or even Ahsoka, a rare and really good character in rebels? She's not starring in the series, she's there sort of like Ben Kenobi to guide the rebels and help them. Quote

The new color just destroys her color scheme..... And everyone, I don't have anything against TCW; It's a fine show. I just wish they would focus on new characters, rather than include a bunch of pointless cameos. Quote
