Darth_Brick360 Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 Sorry guys I've really been struggling to get on this forum in the past 2-3 months. To be quite honest I've not really invested in that much Lego this year however that's going to be changing in the next month or so. Anyway I would really appreciate it if you could let me know what I've missed? There's been some news about the episode VII sets, including names of them, if you haven't seen that yet. I don't know if that interests you or not. Quote
LegoFjotten Posted June 9, 2015 Posted June 9, 2015 Might not be the correct thread for it, but just noticed that the second SW poster (Episode V) was available in the norwegian S@H now. Free with any SW purchase. It will be available 8-14 june. Quote

Free with any SW purchase. It will be available 8-14 june. Thanks for the heads up - it's the same in the UK store. Glad you spotted this - I'd assumed it would be the same dates as the US store (22nd-28th June) and would have missed it otherwise. Anyway I would really appreciate it if you could let me know what I've missed? The seven sets for TFA have had their names revealed, along with a picture of 75104. They will be released on September 4th with the Sith Infiltrator (which we have pictures of) and the six constraction figures. The five summer sets were also released on June 1st. I hope that helped. :) Quote
IronFish Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 Anyway, I think the most likely thing for LEGO to do with captain phasma is to give her that metallic silver color. ]A lot of my older metallic pieces have flaked off, revealing the plastic underneath, and it contrasts with the un-flaked parts of it, so I would rather get a pearl silver Phasma fig, if it means it would last longer. Artizan Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 I don't know why but they always used the older chrome paint on Dooku's lightsaber hilt and mine, which is from 2002, hasn't weared off like the standard chrome hilts. Maybe they apply a different technique on that and they can do it for Phasma's armor too. Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 (edited) Disney is skipping SDCC this year in favor of their own expo (D23), so I guess we'll have to wait till August for some official set reveals (unless pictures get leaked before of course): http://moviepilot.co...l,manual,manual I guess LEGO will be present at SDCC nonetheless, just without the usual SW and Marvel set reveals and exclusives Edited June 10, 2015 by Lego-Freak Quote

However, I'm not surprised. If anything, I'm more excited! I have a good feeling that Disney has something special planned for Star Wars at D23 this year. Perhaps another teaser? Reveals of new stills? Perhaps a proper look at Maz Kanata, Snoke, or even Gleeson's character? Along with some of the toys (I wouldn't be surprised if they reveal a couple sets, but not the whole wave. Maybe Rey's Speeder and Kylo's Shuttle), it would be a fantastic way of building up even more hype without actually giving away any story, which seems to have been their tactic. Quote
Tariq j Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 ^^ I hope so! Anything TFA/Rebels/Lego related is good enough for me :) Quote
Lobot Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 Please can we keep this thread on track in future Whilst it's fine to mention the possible cost of the new sets, any discussions about price differentials, exchange rates and living costs aren't really appropriate. Quote
just2good Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 Nah, I still think LEGO will be at SDCC, even with Marvel exclusives or whatever. The LEGO booth and presentations are their own thing. Quote

Sorry, I meant I wanted a pearl one, not a chrome one, for that exact reason. Quote
just2good Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 Here's the box for that one set we all forgot about. Quote
Nekchir Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 (edited) Here's the box for that one set we all forgot about. Do we have any idea on the price? I'm thinking at least 80$. Edited June 10, 2015 by MonkeyChud Quote
General Magma Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 There's no way on Malachor it will be $100+. At least, I think so. Looks like a $50 set to me, maybe $70-80 at most, but not over a hundred. Quote
Gremer Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 If you look at the minifigs, R2 actually is in the set even though he isn't in the other pictures. I'm thinking $70 or $80. Maybe $90 on the high end but not more than that. Quote
Flieger Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 Do we have any idea on the price? I'm thinking at least 80$. 660 parts and 5 minifigs... so I'd say it is in the range of the AT-AP and the Cantina, probably a bit higher. Quote
duboismerci Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 GrooveBricks has been sent an image of 75096 Sith Infiltrator, which is said to be scheduled for an August release at a cost of 99 Euros in Europe So probably around 69.99$-79.99$ in the US Quote
Tariq j Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 Hmm, with some extensive modding, the nose can be made to look more accurate, the minifigures are arguably the strongest aspect of the set. Do we know how much this is in the UK? Quote
JonnyRainbow Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 Here's the box for that one set we all forgot about. Mmmmmm….. That's already the best-looking Sith Infiltrator set we've ever gotten. Quote
wesker Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 Interesting that R2-D2 is on the boxart but not the other pics. I still think its a wasted opportunity not including Shmi or an updated Padme. The Sith Speeder is starting to grow on me though. Still not keen on the mismatched colours but I'm liking the actual build the more I see it. Quote
NNOPMOC Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 . . . It's a shame. . . I had been really looking forward to a new Sith Infiltrator. I recently picked up a second hand 7961, which I have yet to build. But this one leaves me with the same strange feeling of disappointment that 7663 did when I saw it. The combination of sloped wedges and studs mean it has neither the smooth nor 'classic' look (I have no problem with studs). Depending on the price, I will probably wait until I see it on offer next year. I'm not in a hurry to buy this one. Still hoping for a UCS version though. Quote
Venkefedo Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 Interesting that R2-D2 is on the boxart but not the other pics. I still think its a wasted opportunity not including Shmi or an updated Padme. Yeah... so that's another redundant minifig from the Naboo fighter set... that makes it a lot less appealing to get both sets. Quote
HanSoloCup Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 So I know a lot of us were anticipating any TFA reveals to happen at D23, but it turns out Disney is in fact dispatching Star Wars to Comic-Con, with "some exclusive Star Wars: The Force Awakens products." So I'd guess we'd get some information then. http://www.starwars.com/news/star-wars-the-force-awakens-more-coming-to-san-diego-comic-con-2015 Quote
