hollisbrick Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 Senate gaurds would just be perfect Almost more perfect than finally seeing pics of the UCS Slave 1 Quote
Geno Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 All these sets sound very appealing, but I'm having trouble visualizing how the battle droid would fit on the micro Spider droid. Quote
Hulk_Smash Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 The same way the others do, it has a seat area. Quote
Chills Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 All these sets sound very appealing, but I'm having trouble visualizing how the battle droid would fit on the micro Spider droid. I'm wondering how the Vulture Droid will look with a pilot. The fighters are specifically designed not to need a pilot. Quote
GuyDudeMan27 Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 I'm wondering how the Vulture Droid will look with a pilot. The fighters are specifically designed not to need a pilot. I imagine it will be kind of like the full size version we got. The pilot will most likely be where the "eyes" are. I admit it will look weird like that, but the microfighters line is more about the general shape, not superb accuracy. Quote
TheWolffe Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 What I'm wondering is, would the ARC-170 microfighter have a Ep.III clone pilot? Or would it have a TCW pilot, like from the recent Z-95 Headhunter? Quote
Gremer Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 I don't remember any ARC-170s in TCW, so I'm guessing it's Episode III. Quote
Darth Malgus Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 I actually like the microfighters minifig selection possible army builders for a few of them hopefully a good parts assortment for the spare tubs I have and all will be good Quote
Venkefedo Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Take the last wave for example, the only interesting figure in there was Han Solo. I thought the Imp pilot of the SD was a good choice; jumpsuit body, a visible use of one of the Death Star Gunner heads, black cap... If not for the headset, this guy would be perfect to army-build in an Emperor's Arrival scene for ROTJ. I tend to think of the black jumpsuit Imp "officers" as TIE pilots without their helms and harnesses on, since they don't do much else in the movies. Also Theron Nett was great; annoying that they updated the orange-suit pilot body again, maybe, but looks fantastic, and a great generic pilot head. I already turned my spare into a better Luke, tho he'll become Wedge one I've got the new Snowspeeder set. Quote
Sir_Basil_Ashton Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 I don't remember any ARC-170s in TCW, so I'm guessing it's Episode III. There were definitely ARC-170s in TCW. I wish we would have seen more of it but it was there. Quote
Clone 01354 Productions Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 (edited) No offense, Hulk_Smash, but I do not fully believe you. I have noticed several inconsistencies in your stories, like when you said that you didn't see all of the microfighters minifigs, but then stated that you knew exactly who came with what. You also changed from saying that no one was visible for the TIE Advanced, but then stated that there was someone else, likely the Inquisitor, outside the cockpit. Maybe you are right, maybe not. But as far as I'm concerned, nothing can convince me other than prelims. Assuming you are right, though....YAY TUSKENS!!! But, at the same time, NOOOOOOOOO! Rebel Stormies! They are not McQuarrie enough, nor are they classic enough. Edited August 30, 2014 by LN-01354 Quote

Robianco Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 There were doubts previously then he proved he was right. He's not just giving info on SW sets but across multiple licenses... Have you seen the amount of questions he's had to answer in the last week? He hasn't hidden from one of them and repeatedly answered them patiently. Quote
Clone 01354 Productions Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Still, though....I don't want to sound mean and say he is lying, but could it be that he may be stretching the truth, or just trying to predict what they'll do? As soon as I heard they were releasing a new T-16, my mind immediately went to "Tusken Raider". And for the TIE Advanced, I immediately said "Inquisitor", just like he did. I am not saying this is wrong; it is very likely. But I just want rock-solid facts to rest my final thoughts on. Quote
Tariq j Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 I believe Hulk_Smash. As Robianco said he's been answering loads of questions lately. And not just from the SW theme. We should be grateful that he as taken the effort to answer and provide us with all the questions and information we want to know. Quote
Clone 01354 Productions Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Well, you all convinced me, so congratulations. Hulk_Smash: I'm a believer, and now I am super hyped for the future of Lego Star Wars! I read what other people had to say, and your other info about other lines, and I now apologize for doubting you. Sorry. So...when do we think we'll see prelims? I AM DYING TO SEE THEM!! Quote
Legoman123 Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Sorry I haven't been following this thread recently, would someone please recap what we know about each set? Thank you. Quote

Flieger Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 (edited) My thoughts exactly, I'm in general dissapointed in the Microfighters line. I find them to be slightly overpriced and a dull minifigure range. This wave is real bad, as other have said, it misses good opportunities to bolster the lines of the non-droid seperatists. As much as I like the Neimodian Warrior, I won't buy multiple (big) Vulture Droids. I would gave gone for multiple micros though. What I'm wondering is, would the ARC-170 microfighter have a Ep.III clone pilot? Or would it have a TCW pilot, like from the recent Z-95 Headhunter? I would like to see any other pilot with the helmet mould from the Z-95, but even the TCW introcuded the RotS-pilot dress in the last season. I don't remember any ARC-170s in TCW, so I'm guessing it's Episode III. There were featured quite a lot in the later seasons. I have actually expected to see one, but then TCW was cancelled. I'd like to see that too. This way you could have the nice progression from the senate guards you see in TPM, through the blue-robed Imperial Like guards, finally to the current Imperial Guards we have which look great. Indeed, and even better: in AotC, both the blue Senate Guard and the Red Guard (later the Royal Guard) could be seen. Edited August 30, 2014 by Flieger Quote

Give him a break if the info is sometimes inconsistent, people have been trowing a thousand questions at him and he has tried to answer them all. Memorizing the entire catalog, not just SW is not that easy, especially if he only took a quick look. And if he is wrong about some sets, at least we have something to debate about. Slurpifier Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Quite annoyed that the Stormtroopers in the ITT are Rebels, but was there any doubt about it? The rest of the wave does sound nice, definitely going to pick up the T-16 Skyhopper and the AAT Quote

In fact, Lego will soon be helping me tremendously with my spending habits. With the end of the Hobbit, LOTR, the decline of OT sets in Star Wars, and no news of an interesting new line, about the only buying I am going to be doing is for MOCs via Bricklink. Quote
