ChiefPie Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 MakingStarWars.net has an interesting look at the Walmart Star Wars signage/displays coming to Force Friday. It's under these displays that we will supposedly first see this extremely secretive upcoming wave of TFA Lego. If you're avoiding spoilers, beware. There's a never-before-seen character (albeit very blurry) pic featured in one of the displays. It looks like a stormtrooper. Quote
ChiefPie Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 I think it's Kylo. Yeah, chewie, stormtrooper and kylo ren. Quote
Datamunky Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 (edited) Pretty sure my local TRU is planning on a 12:01 opening also and I'm in the UK so 5+ hrs ahead of the U.S./Canadian. based members. Presumably other stores will open at 12:01 local too so now we just need to identify Australian/New Zealanders so we can get the full range a good 12+ hrs ahead of North America. That's if they're not already leaked well ahead of that date... Edited August 5, 2015 by Datamunky Quote
Darth Malgus Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 In my city in Australia, apparently only 2 of the TRU stores are doing the midnight reveal. Will try and get pics but with 2 young kids I doubt it. Quote

Will try and get pics but with 2 young kids I doubt it. Haha, that sounds familiar. I love the irony that kids keep us away from the toy store! Mine tell me off whenever I buy more Lego except when it's for them. I suspect images will get leaked beforehand though...surely the supply chain can't be that watertight. Quote
Datamunky Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 I suspect images will get leaked beforehand though...surely the supply chain can't be that watertight. If not the supply chain, some online store is bound to accidentally upload the new pages to the live servers beforehand. Happens all the time. Quote
ArrowBricks Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 I am really surprised we still haven't got all the pictures of TFA awakens sets. Lego you have done well. Quote
cullmancreations Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 So the Death Star may be getting a restock on the US page for the death star set it says "We are currently making more, so please check back soon for availability." Quote
just2good Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 If not the supply chain, some online store is bound to accidentally upload the new pages to the live servers beforehand. Happens all the time. Pretty sure they'll all be revealed next week at D23. Quote
namioik Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 Pretty sure they'll all be revealed next week at D23. How sure? Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 (edited) We're most likely going to get leaked pictures somehow. I mean we got those leaked pictures of the x-wing and the Millenium Falcon. They could officially reveal at D23 but if they don't, somehow and some way we're going to see them before the official release date. Edited August 5, 2015 by amazingbricks Quote
just2good Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 How sure? I dunno. I'm just guessing. But it makes sense, right? Quote
deskp Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 I dunno. I'm just guessing. But it makes sense, right? It doesent really, dont think presenting merchandise of any sort has been part of the event beofre? also thers a whole thing toys r us is doing ahead of force friday so they might have it locked down? But dang, really hoped u knew some secrets about this lol. Quote
LegendsOfNinjago Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 I feel like Lego The Force Awakens sets have been the best kept secret lego has ever kept. We are one month from release and we've only gotten two alright quality pictures of the two sets. These better be worth it! Quote

Mahtion Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 Thankfully the wait is almost over for the set reveals. Even if D23 doesn't take the opportunity to showcase them (suspect they wont) at least there's Force Friday around the corner at the beginning of Septemeber. Disney and Lucasfilm must know what they are doing because they are driving up demand so high and we are all desperately reaching for scraps of info. It's all so calculated and surprisingly effective lol. Quote
joebiwankenobi Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 I dunno. I'm just guessing. But it makes sense, right? You've been right about things before and are a good Bonthan Spy with a flawless record. I'm looking forward to D23. Quote
CM4Sci Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 Everybody is aware the Hoth set is $250 right? Quote
rollermonkey Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 LOL. That's getting to be funny... How many retailers can spill the beans before the actual announcement? Quote
Master_Data Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before, but we are very lucky to be getting a TFA Millennium Falcon. I just talked to a LEGO employee who said that the canopy mold broke in 2013/14 when they switched out the molds for different production runs. Apparently, they only just repaired it in time for production for TFA! Quote
jhaelego Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 Did you guys see the leaks for the Star Wars Ep. 7 merchandise at toy stores? http://www.starwarsunderworld.com/2015/08/report-force-awakens-toys-merchandise.html It's not Lego, but it does give a good look at the first order star destroyer. Furthermore, if toy stores are already getting these, I hope some Lego leaks are immenent Quote
Rob1321 Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 Those micro machine sets are awesome! Takes me back to my childhood! Quote
Vindicare Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 (edited) Just got an email from TRU about a midnight opening Sept. 4th for new Star Wars toys. On the store page for this event, there's links to the different categories for SW toys, including LEGO. Here's hoping. Edited August 7, 2015 by Legocrazy81 Quote
Bob De Quatre Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 September 4 is the deadline for the launch of the whole communication campaign around SW7, including toys. Quote
