wesker Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 I'm not expecting a new helmet. Just the 2013 minifigure with added leg printing. Quote
AudiBobaR5-D2 Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 I'm excited to find out what minifigs are included in the AAT. Quote
Hulk_Smash Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 I'm excited to find out what minifigs are included in the AAT. Two battle droids and Jar jar ( I know I said there were two gun guns in it but I was mis saw the dirt time) Quote
hollisbrick Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Thanks for the info so far Hulk_Smash. Very excited for this wave Quote
AudiBobaR5-D2 Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Two battle droids and Jar jar ( I know I said there were two gun guns in it but I was mis saw the dirt time) Going to be interesting when the pics are revealed whenever that is. No doubt better hopefully than 7155 of 2001. Thanks Hulk_Smash Quote
Jedi-Bendu Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 (edited) Various insiders/spies/sources also said that the Inquisitor would be the main villain in VII, and that the title will be The Ancient Fear. I don't believe anything from "a trustworthy source"; I don't even believe the new Stormtrooper helmets. Only one site/source reported that title. Regarding the Stormtrooper helmets: I asked Brian Muir (the sculptor of Darth Vaders helmet, the OT Troopers etc.) 2-3 weeks ago about them (he is involved with Ep7 as well). Instead of saying the pix are fake he said he said couldn't comment. Why say this when they're fake? I agree there are a lot of sites reporting a lot that can't be real......but almost everyone is unanimous about the fact it isn't Tatooine. Edited August 31, 2014 by Jedi-Bendu Quote
AwesomeBantha Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 And yeah, I'd love a Bantha too. Maybe utilizing the mini ball joints.... Who knows? Maybe we're getting one, like a dewback... TLG might just no have had the mold ready in time... Quote
Flieger Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Do we think that the minifig in the Micro-RGS will be a pilot, but with a new-molded helmet. They should make it a lot more accurate, and this seems like a great opportunity. There are three very different options: 1) AotC (with or without upgraded helmet mould; I do hope for an updated mould) 2) RotS 3) TCW All of them would be very useful, especially the AotC version to fill the gunship. I like the TCW mould best, though, therefore I hope for a new print on this great mould. I just cannot imagine that lego would waste it on a singular set. Has this ever happened before? Quote

I don't believe anything from "a trustworthy source"; I don't even believe the new Stormtrooper helmets. Well the new Stormtrooper helmets images were taken in Pinewood Studios location based on the image details. Then there's the concept art developed based on it. Seems like a coincidence to have images, set prop which is expensive and concept art. Many of the rumors are dubious but not the Stormtrooper helmets. Two battle droids and Jar jar ( I know I said there were two gun guns in it but I was mis saw the dirt time) Well I don't have a JarJar and I hope he gets an update. Would have rather had Naboo guard, Boss Nass or something else and Battle Droids are still boring. Thanks for info as always Hulk smash! Quote

Clone OPatra Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 I just cannot imagine that lego would waste it on a singular set. Has this ever happened before? Sure: the ARC Trooper helmet, most likely the Old Republic good-guy helmets, just to name two off the top of my head. It's more odd that that CW pilot helmet only appeared in one set, just because there are plenty of ships and contexts that LEGO could have used it in. Still, that doesn't exactly make it likely that it will appear again at this point. Quote
Venkefedo Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 I agree there are a lot of sites reporting a lot that can't be real......but almost everyone is unanimous about the fact it isn't Tatooine. ...and even if it were Tatooine, I'm sure we wouldn't see Tuskens and Jawas without masks/hoods on. It's too "fanboy" to expect to see that. Besides, fanboys already know some of the "truth" from KOTOR and other (now-Legends) sources: Tuskens were a very human-like species before the Rakata turned Tatooine into a desert, and their culture adapted to the new climate, while Jawas are rodent-like and covered in surprisingly-docile bugs. Besides, after revisiting Tatooine substantially in ROTJ, TPM, and AOTC, those two species were never "revealed", even in a Tusken village, so why explain it now? There's so much NEW to see! Two battle droids and Jar Jar is rather disappointing Jar Jar is the least visually interesting Gungan, and was just in 9499! Boss Nass, Captain Tarpals, or a regular warrior would be so much nicer. Maybe the Jar Jar in the catalog was just a placeholder? Quote

We've gotten basic warriors recently, so wouldn't they put one of those in if it was going to be in the final? It is a little disappointing, but it's only a $25 set, so the minifigs won't be in large quantities or too interesting. Quote
Venkefedo Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 I forgot about the fairly-recent Gungan soldiers (which accompanied yet another Jar Jar in the Battle of Naboo set!)... gonna still hope it's Tarpals, because nobody needs that many Jar Jars. Not even Ahmed Best. Quote
Clone 01354 Productions Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 No Gungans interest me. I was hoping for the AAT to be based more on the seen in Theed, not in the plains. We could've gotten some handmaidens.... Quote
Legoman123 Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 So is Anakin's custom starfighter from the clone wars then? Quote
CoffeeGuy Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 So is Anakin's custom starfighter from the clone wars then? Most likely . Quote
Venkefedo Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 So is Anakin's custom starfighter from the clone wars then? From the Microseries, yes. It's the only source that makes sense, given the name... It's just an incredible bizarre choice. Quote

Aland1916 Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 So there are more Clone Wars sets to come? Interesting ... Quote
Clone 01354 Productions Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 I have 0 clue as to what the Custom Starfighter will be. It can't be the Microseries one; that series is defunct now, de-canonized and forgotten over a decade. It can't be a Rebel's thing, because it says"Anakin", not Darth Vader. If it is the Microseries, maybe they will do more from that series, or a line of defunct stories. I have no clue.....Maybe they made a mistake on the name? Quote
HJR-Holland Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 My guesses are that in one of the 'Rebels' arcs they find the (remains of) Anakin's Starfighter... Would be interesting to find out what it will be :-) Quote
Sir_Basil_Ashton Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 I've stopped trying to make sense of anything, it makes life so much easier. LEGO surprised us with Darth Revan after the EU was kicked to the curb. I think that this just shows us that LEGO isn't under Disney's restrictions to storytelling. It would make sense since kids don't understand all of this. They just know that there's movies and cartoons. When they see these things, it becomes their reality. It just can't all be deleted. Quote
NovaSentinel Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 The microseries did introduce some things that became canon, such as the V-19 Torrent, so it's not too far out for the Azure Angel to be made into a set. Quote
Jedi-Bendu Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 (edited) I don't even believe the new Stormtrooper helmets. You better believe it now: "Last night I tried to find the largest version of "the" helmet pic and after doing this I opened it in iPhoto. I wondered if the photo could possibly have any further secrets to reveal and I was quite surprised to find that it did!At first I wasn't sure where it had pointed me to but after zooming out I realised that it was Pinewood. The skylights in the roof seem to match the reflections in the helmet as well. The date in May could suggest that whoever took the pic has left the production and now doesn't fear the reprisals quite as much. The reduced size of the file might suggest that the pic was emailed or texted off the phone (an Apple iPhone 5s). If only I could just make out a little more detail in the picture itself...."
