It's still not that difficult to go into a search engine and simply type 'Lego Star Wars TFA figures Reddit' or something similar in order to see what others have seen. It's the internet folks, once it's out there, it's out there.

You don't need to 'use' Reddit to view its content. It's a website like Eurobricks, so you don't need an account unless you want to comment.

It's URLs work like this- reddit.com/r/lego (just a random example...)

In my opinion, "certain iconic star wars ship" lacks any true improvements over its predecessor, structurally is the same but a with a few color changes and a lot of debris, rubble and random pipes to make the interior look messy and beef up the piece count, another easy pass for me, it may seem that I am in a dark age not buying most of the new stuff but I actually have just about every ship I ever wanted from the OT, my money will remain safely in my wallet and away of disney's pockets.

To try and stay on good terms with Lego for the future. Lego has a good relationship with fan sites. There's no point damaging that just for some images that you can find elsewhere anyway.

If Captain Phasma truly has no face print, that's kind of lazy on Lego's part in my eyes. We've never seen Boba Fett's face and he got a unique face print It's not the biggest deal I guess but it would've been nice...

Well up until that review that was posted we really didn't know what the interior of that ship looked like. So they may just not want those types of details revealed yet.

Or they might be trying to stop people from finding out where they can buy these early. They know things are going to leak, they're just trying to slow the leaks. It's Disney's product, if they want retailers to wait for a big unveiling then it's their right to do so.

I'm going to cut you off right there, as I am not pleading ignorance simply it is not my responsibility to enforce TLG's embargo.

As for my personal site, it means that a 3rd party such as EB cannot be forced to take it down. Economically, I make nothing off my site. Even after 6 years, I have yet to reach the minimum $100 per check Google Adsense imposes, at 18 cents per thousand views, I doubt this will make any difference.

Ok. At risk of micro-modding I will try this one more time. You may not have a personal responsibility to enforce TLG's embargo but you do have a responsibility to adhere to the rules of this forum, which was my point if you read my posts carefully. If you still don't get it then read the member guidelines (the link is on page 1), particularly the part about not promoting yourself by linking to reviews/MOCs etc on other sites. Frankly I don't care if you make money from advertisements or not.

Eh, hype is hype...

If we don't have the set in hand, we scour the inter webs for the latest leaked images, discuss it in forums like this, and generally obsess about it until everyone gets a copy of what they want (then bash it in a review )

The 'embargo' in my opinion only serves to fuel the hype, so that by 11:59 pm September 3rd everyone will be so spring-loaded to get our hands on this merchandise that the evil Disney Overseer will be laughing in his lair whilst watching the sales numbers come in.

I'm more curious to see if retailers planned ahead for this and bulked up with more stock than they would with a normal wave of sets, i.e., one that's not associated with the most anticipated movie in decades. It seems obvious they would, but I'm not exactly certain how the allocation works - other than get as much as possible as fast as possible.

Attack of the Clones....you'll see his face in that movie. And yes, he's a kid then but since he's a clone and we see his dad unmasked it's not hard to picture what Boba looks like as an adult.

Both versions of Kylo Ren look absolutely incredible IMO, now I have no idea which one to display (heavy dilemma, I know ). Hopefully he'll appear in one of the 2016 sets as well, although he's one of the main selling points of a certain set and thus won't likely make an reappearance that soon I'm afraid

Regarding Phasma: The lack of a face doesn't come as a surprise to me since we have no idea what she'll look like in the movie. Of course we know the actress, but she might as well be an alien or have facial scars etc.

good point about Phasma. But it doesnt change that her minifig will look weird with blank black head. And it was understandable why they used blank heads for Stormtroopers for a first few Lego Star Wars years, but in 2015 it's just ridiculous. Personally I'd rather have Phasma with Gwendolyn Christie's face and it been incorrect to the movie, rather than blank head.

I'll admit that I understand the reasoning for giving Phasma the blank head, but it's still pretty disappointing. I was really looking forward to whatever face print she could have had. Ah well, we'll be getting sets based on these new movies for years to come so I'm sure she'll get her real face one day, whether it shows up in the movies or not.
