I don't want to argue about this topic, so I am just going to post what Wikipedia says spoiler is.

A spoiler is an element of a disseminated summary or description of any piece of fiction that reveals any plot elements which threaten to give away important details concerning the turn of events of a dramatic episode. Typically, the details of the conclusion of the plot, including the climax and ending, are especially regarded as spoiler material. It can also be used to refer to any piece of information regarding any part of a given media that a potential consumer would not want to know beforehand. Because enjoyment of fiction depends a great deal upon the suspense of revealing plot details through standard narrative progression, the prior revelation of how things will turn out can "spoil" the enjoyment that some consumers of the narrative would otherwise have experienced.

And to be honest trailers for ep 7 contain no spoilers, unlike that Terminator Genesis trailer that spoiled the whole movie with that plot twist. On this note I finish this argument and hope we can go back to discussing Lego sets.

Anyway, back on topic, and Fuppylodders go back to your cave!

*snipped rant*

Wow, you REALLY misunderstood my post. Calm down.

I was just giving advice to anyone who wanted to avoid spoilers. It's not "arrogance" as you claim, it's simply being realistic. Considering character names and the color of a vehicle to be a spoiler is fine, but expecting the entire internet to bend to that definition of a spoiler is unrealistic and will only hurt the one who doesn't wish to be spoiled. Have you seen me openly talking about story spoilers on this thread? No. So I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't treat me as if I've spoiled the end of the movie, which one user actually did.

As benderisgreat said, this doesn't need to turn into an argument. Seriously, let's just be realistic here. In the age of the internet, minor spoilers for a film are practically unavoidable. ESPECIALLY when you're in a thread regarding leaked/rumored merchandise for said film. Myself, and a lot of other users are rational people, and we know better than to discuss major plot points of the film. But expecting people to not talk about the color of a ship is insane, especially when we're discussing merchandise that pertains to said ship.

I'd prefer a straight discussion to all this sneakin' around.

Bob highlighted the important part, thank you Benderisgreat for proving my point :)

*edit*

@Nokturn, maybe I misunderstood it slightly... *but* then you missed part of what I said, about TLG sets being fine to talk about but then people go all indepth talking about all sorts of other things completely irrelevant to the rumoured sets, *just because* it is about TFO, thinking they have a right to talk about something which is irrelevant to the thread.

The ship in the trailer and THAT ship you are talking about are two different ships.

That hasn't been confirmed and is speculation. Look at the evidence, same engines and same wing length as well as same dark grey colors. While it's possible there could a variant it's not likely a different ship. Also think of the context. The shuttle in teaser is accompanied with 4 or so Transports all returning to the Finalizer Star Destroyer. This scene must follow after the Jakku village attack. We know Kylo has his shuttle there from EW pics. So either it's the same ship or Kylo changes shuttles.

Think of it is this way, Lego may have decided they could not replicate all of the features because it would require more pieces or less stability of the model overall.

Well, I must admit, after seeing those sets and their prices, my favourite is the smallest one ...

That was my first reaction as well... or maybe it was just my wallet screaming "OUCH! NO!" Does it seem like they're more expensive even for this license, or am I just more sensitive to it right now?

Yeah, I believe they're rising slowly, year by year - atleast in Europe. But that never prevents me from buying more Lego :look:

Year the prices keep rising year after year in Europe. That kind of thing can send people the wrong message that prices are deliberately being raised year after year in europe to get more money out of people for lego sets for example.

Those arrows can be seen on the back of the box, as well. If you check some of my older posts, I've been an advocate of that theory for awhile.

Glad someone is seeing the same thing that I am. I still hope that the wings fold out, just like in the second teaser.

As much as I want this to be true, I maintain that it's comes for the bottom part of the wing

This is sadly true.

Am I the only one who thinks the Snowspeeder is hideously overpriced. It's a missed opportunity by Lego, it should be more inline for a battle pack at 20 dollars or something.

Yup, SW lego seems ridiculously overpriced here in europe, compared to the non-licensed sets. The price on stuff like the AT-DP and Tie proto really keep me from buying, and the new sith infiltrator is just insane (€110 for 662 parts). For the forseeable future my SW purchases will be limited to microfighters and used sets from years gone by, at least those can sometimes be had for a decent price.

As for the snowspeeder, without seeing the movie, my feeling is that it should've been a small battlepack style vehicle, but it depends on what kind of role it plays in TFA i guess, if they are just part of a FO assault or base scenes, a battlepack would've been much more apt.

Agreed.

In my opinion both the snowspeeder and x-xing are overpriced. I know some lego fans here in Ireland who see this price raising as deliberate discrimination against the Irish as times here are very tough. I wouldn't go that far, but if prices keep rising year after year, others could start to think that too and that would be bad for business.

No, you are not the only one. I usually wait for Amazon discounts to keep my spent under control. Last one was 75054 at 106.95 €.

Yup, there are only three (six if you count both sides) arrows:

1. shows that the bottom part of the wing folds inwards for landing

2. shows that the upper part of the wing extends upward

3. shows the movement of a small lever in external surface of the wing, used to extend the upper part of the wing (point 2.)

So in effect arrow 2 and 3 show the same function.

Nothing that would suggest folding out of the entire wing.

I can't really moan about prices in general, the prices of the sets here in SA are quite constant from year to year, which is surprising considering our economy is so terrible. So in effect the prices this side are going down. If I take the current exchange rate and the listed price from my online retailer I'll only be paying the equivalent of $120 for the Falcon

Here in the UK, prices appear to be close to 10p (or 10 American cents) per piece ratio... As far as I was aware (correct me if I'm wrong), wasn't that the sort of benchmark to tell if a set is priced averagely or not?

Is it more where the Euro, Australian/Canadian/other random country prices are concerned that they seem inflated?

Don't know if anyone has already mentioned this but there's a pic of the Kylo Ren and General Hux minifigures going round the internet, apparently from a tease of a review? Ren is hooded and his head is the mask but printed. Apologies to the mods if this is something that can't be discussed, feel free to delete my post if that is the case, the whole what we can and can't discuss thing is confusing me now we have the catalogue pics.

I know which picture you're talking about. I found it on Instagram and posted it to Reddit, from there I'm guessing it's spread to other sites. It's not a tease for a review, just an Instagram pic from someone who has the set early.

Ah, that clears it up, nice to see Ren has an option for if you want hooded with mask as well as standalone mask.

This is what I have heard, most people I've spoken to who have complained are Europeans

Saw that, thanks for posting.
