I usually get my advent calendar around Easter. I think I'm going to first buy the FO transporter. Or does anyone think I should get something else.

Transporter is the buisness! get that yes.

The FO transporter will be in my basket too - the minifigure selection is brilliant and I really like the amphibious landing craft vibe - although a lot of people are not so keen. Also probably going to pick up the x-wing and Reys Speeder.

Hey everyone! First time poster! I get paid on Thursday so needless to say my check will be going to TFA sets! For right now I'll be getting Rey's speeder and the advent calendar and one more set. I haven't decided between Poe's X-Wing or the FO Tie.. Decisions decisions..

Well, if i usually have to choose, i see which craft appeals more, then i see a review to choose. And i evaluate which side i need more of.

The LEGO Star Wars website is down at the moment...

We could be seeing an overhaul of the site to promote the new sets!

Most likely. I wonder when it'll be back up and running.

The Poe Xwing review really put it into perspective. $10 more for Poe set and 200 more pieces plus you get bb8. It comes down to which design you prefer ultimately but poes xwing is the better buy with price per piece count.

Need to see the review first.

You do have a point there but I think I'm gonna wait for someone to review the FO Tie and then make my choice.. If the sets sell out by then I'll at least have Rey's Speeder!

Someone already has reviewed it:

Granted, it's not a very good review by any means, but it's there.

Saw this image and was gonna post it, but not to point out how it looks like the V shaped shuttle in the trailer. You can obviously see that there is no actual mechanism on the ship that would even allow the wings to fold down or in any direction. Its just one big solid thing.

That image proves that the wings on the Lego version is accurate. They retract up and down, not out. I really don't know what's up with the whole wing thing. Maybe the trailer wasn't final?

To me, it clearly shows that the wings can be folded down. There's an image to the left, pointing to the upper parts of the 'wings' and even a description: "retracting upper stabiliser". The only feature present in LEGO's model and not visible to me here are the two ventral flaps on each wing.

I think "retracting upper stabilizer" would be referring that the wings themselves retract, as in pull back into themselves, not fold out. I think that ship in the trailer is a different one or they just changed it. Shouldn't be that hard to do as it's probably CGI

I know that many of these sets will end up on back order pretty quickly, but does anybody expect them to disappear entirely before the ~year and a half were used to

Since a majority of these vehicles will probably also be in Episode 8 and 9.. no

Again I am going back to what I saw a while ago-Disney didn't even want to put out a trailer but JJ insisted. That being said, there were bound to be changes from that point up until now. It wouldn't surprise me that they had changed the design of a CGI ship to do something different from months ago until now. I believe Lego has it right and we are just seeing a final version.

Do we know that clip is CGI and not practical effects models? I mean, wasn't that the big deal over the past year, about how they were returning to practical effects as much as possible?

Has anyone mentioned when or where that Threepio polybag will be? I've been reading all over and don't see anything locking it down.

Space scenes like that are cg.

They have talked the pracital up way in a way where they set themselves up for some scrutiny they cant really stand.

making these kidsn of scenes with miniatures will not look as good as cg these days.
