Has anyone mentioned when or where that Threepio polybag will be? I've been reading all over and don't see anything locking it down.

I believe it's going to be in Toys R Us stores in November.. That's what I heard anyways

would be a good review if the lighting wasn't horrififc

Yea it was pretty bad but it did help me decide.. Poe's X-Wing it is!

While these people have no idea what they're doing, I really REALLY love the way the wings open and close. So much cleaner and quicker than pretty much every other iteration of the X-Wing.

OMG, it's so bad.

Wake me up if they show something good.

So much cringe. The people have no stage presence, if you know what I mean. They look so uncomfortable.

There's only been one good "top ten" list: the one with the X-wing as #1.

Oh and apparently you need rubber bands to hold the wings closed. Eh..

EDIT: She's trying to pull the spring shooters backwards to shoot them out. :laugh_hard:

What does everyone have against the rubber bands?

They had something wrong, but now they fixed it and the function with the rubber bands snapping the wings closed is neat.

X-Wing has been officially revealed on LEGO's Twitter, so one set we can openly discuss now! It's honestly starting to grow on me, I want it. How much is it though, $70? :sceptic:

LEGO is uploading the official pics of these on facebook, if anyone cares

It's nice to know that they are actually aware that their own products exist.

It's $79.99 USD.

I am planning on getting the sets on christmas since I'm going to America. Do you think they will be in stock still???

As much as there is a chance there may be a shortage of stock, I feel like Disney knows what they're getting themselves into and it would be insane if there weren't enough products on shelves for this Christmas.

I hope this is the case but I doubt it. Hype will fuel demand on a scale we have never seen before. Scalpers will buy up a lot of the stock knowing that desperate parents will pay $$$ to get little Tommy his shiny black x-wing for Xmas. The timing of TFA's release is a perfect sh!tstorm for panicked Xmas buying. I suspect stock availability will be patchy at best. Anecdotal evidence from a an employee at a large local retailer here suggests they expect to sell out of their current stock overnight. As I said, I hope I'm wrong.

The whole product line was out on the shelf at my Walmart. Mentioned that it may cause people trouble, but they couldn't really be bothered. For the hell of it brought one to the register, 'cause every once in a blue moon it's in a manager's heart to override the ol' "no sell", but no luck there, as I expected. Would have been cool to not have to suffer the dirty looks from the poor sleep deprived midnight launch TRU crew for a $20 set, but whatever.

And I'm gonna make this abundantly clear, before people slam me - I was very upfront about the "I don't think these are intended to be sold til friday, so I don't expect to get it but I thought I'd have it scanned and see what happens" - I did not put anyone through any hassle or cause any disruption. The cashier said "yeah, I guess these are about to be taken off the shelf" (I think they're trained to say anything that doesn't scan is a recall, to keep a line running), and I said "Kinda expected that. No worries, thank you."

Probably "protesting too much" here but I didn't want anyone to think I'm awful.

My local Target and TRU had no new sets on the shelves tonight, but Target now has the "Wolf1" type price tags on the shelves that weren't there a couple days ago. Neither even had the Advent, but the LEGO store had a whopping two.

I hate the employees lie about a recall it's insulting to consumers. I mean they expect us to believe an item will be recalled for less than a week and then miraculously be allowed to be sold on release date? I worked in retail for several years and I don't have any qualms about upsetting the status quo or causing a disturbance. They stocked the shelves early and broke their own embargo, we as consumers should not be penalized or be expected to uphold something we never contractually agreed to in any capacity.

Short of it, I see nothing wrong with what you did and it's well within your right to inquire about a product made seemingly available to you at the store.

Local stores haven't got anything TFA related yet. "Maybe friday afternoon. We get new stock on friday and don't know when we'll put it on the shelves. It could be there's no SW stuff in the new stock though." they said. Others have listed sept 5 or even the 9th as the date they have it.

As a Australian I personally apologise for the Australian unboxing event of those ridiculous looking 'make up your own' lightsabers. Everything about it was bad; the toy, the poorly lit stage against the overexposed backdrop of the Harbour Bridge/Opera House, the bored kids who didn't know what to make of it and Jay Laga'aia.

I think you might be overestimating how much they know or care.

You might be an AFOL 100% up to speed on launch dates etc.. but to them you might just look like a parent/uncle/whatever who picked a random box of bricks off the shelf for little jimmy, and the employees themselves might not know exactly what is going on. Generally speaking, by the time im inside a store, ill know more about the product im interested in then whoever is trying to sell it, lego, electronics, games, whatever.

Ah, don't worry. The Hong Kong one was worse. The thing kept falling apart.
