I built mine yesterday and I have the same problem, looks like TLG haven't realized the issue in time, but it doesn't really bother me, it's still one magnificent ship with beautiful figures Quote

My satchel bag on rey from the speeder broke on Sunday, after a day of sitting on my desk! They have had a lot of issues recently.... Quote

Robianco Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 The satchel in Rey's set is the same as Indy's satchel etc... sounds like it may just have been an iffy piece of moulding if it's snapped that quickly. I've never had one snap at all either on Rey's set or any previous Indy set etc. Quote

Those are meant to be the anchor points for the wings, eventually. Instead of using them, use 4 1x6 technic bricks first (the lower ones, which are built first in the booklet), then for the second ones use 4 1x8 technic bricks. Two on either side, they will replace all the red technic bricks. Easy enough.. Thanks for the info! Quote

I'm somewhat bewildered that this is happening. A regular old baseplate was warped? I have never seen that and I've lost count long ago how many Lego kits I've cracked open. Others have stated that their X-Wing kit contained no faulty pieces and I've read elsewhere that it was the cockpit windscreen that was the issue... but it sounds like it's going to be a crap shoot for all of us - not every shop will have due diligence with the recalls and some warped X-Wings are likely still sitting on many shelves. Plus, who knows when we'll get a restock? Couldn't it take up to another 6 months or even a year to get replacement kits? Richpepperal has also stated that there were errors with the building instructions. This puts us in a strange situation - buy the X Wing now, for fear of not being able to get it before 2016 or take a chance that the one you find on the shelf is a-ok? Oh, and did anyone run out and buy the whole wave? Would love to see this beautiful wave all together on a table or something all at once. Quote

I didn't notice any issues while building it, whooshing it around the room making "pew pew" noises or staring at it on the shelf. I did notice that my millennium falcon set had a bag with an extra unneeded plate and it was also missing another vital piece. Lucky for me I had plenty of that piece sitting around so my falcon was completed without issues. And to darththeling - I bought the whole wave. Someone will probably beat me to taking a photo of it though. I'm at work. Quote

Cuz mine hovers a hair but I wouldn't call the piece warped. It's not super bad, but it bothers me enough to warrant going to the effort of replacing it. Since the canopy on an X-wing is so exposed, it's rather noticeable. Especially when swooshing. Quote

Everything else you can get from the box. I added some other bits here and there to change some colors to my liking, but the only necessary parts for the angled wings are the parts I just wrote about here. Quote
Richpepperell Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 My canopy seems to be fine as far as fit goes. However, I'm 99.9% sure that my set was missing 1 1x2 grey grill piece. It was needed to go on top of the spring loaded shooters - which I had left off so didn't need it. However, when I collected up my "leftovers" the was only 1 left over grill when there should have been 2. Quote

While I didn't get the X-Wing, I noticed that I have a problem too with the cockpit pieces for the Millenium Falcon set. The clear dish piece on the end that holds it all together won't fit over the studs on the clear canopy pieces (or whatever they are called). I was forced to just use a clear 2x2 instead. Plus, even with that piece, the cockpit won't click all the way onto the back and I think I saw one of the other reviewers also had a similar problem. So, I'm wondering if this is a problem with whoever is making the clear cockpit parts?? Still, I love the rest of the set so much, I look right past this flaw and am just enjoying this wonderfully designed set.
