Brickr Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 I know I'm late to the discussion, but after reading some of the comments in the last few pages regarding faulty TFA minifigure parts cracking, or poor quality printing, I went back and carefully looked through my collection and found no cracking or signs of weak elements, there were a few print issues that TLG were happy to replace (excellent customer service as always). It does concern me though if quality is dropping perhaps due to the dramatic increase in production over the past few years, do we know how widespread these issues have been? Quote
HawkLord Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 I think the QC issues are isolated to SW at this point. Disney really made all manufacturers of SW items rush to get their items out in time for Force Friday. I haven't seen as many errors with the other Lego lines Quote
ResIpsaLoquitur Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 I haven't seen any discussion here, but for you US folk: Target has the First Order TIE Fighter polybag this week. Free with a $25 Star Wars purchase or $3.99 otherwise. My Target was pretty picked over but still had some on the shelf. It's substantially similar to the 8028 Polybag from 2008 (unbelievable that 8028 is that old, since I'm still finding them on shelves). The downside is that the cockpit doesn't have a lot of roundness to it. Even 8028 had a 2x2 bumper piece on the bottom to make at least that part round. Anyway, grab it while you can. It's cute and will make a nice stocking stuffer. Quote

HawkLord Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 (edited) Also spotted the polybag First Order Special Forces (Elite) TIE at Target in the Seattle area. They had plenty. Edited December 3, 2015 by HawkLord Quote

Kman860 Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 Target went out of business in Canada. I know, but I mean I can't get them at TRU, Walmart, I even check the kids section at Chapters, and almost nothing. Quote
legosamsonite Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 I know, but I mean I can't get them at TRU, Walmart, I even check the kids section at Chapters, and almost nothing. Which province? I find the polys alot in NS Quote
Gadzooks Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 Also spotted the polybag First Order Special Forces (Elite) TIE at Target in the Seattle area. They had plenty. Were they at registers or in the LEGO aisle? I was at Target today and I didn't see any, but my Target oragnizes poorly so it's possible I missed them Quote
ResIpsaLoquitur Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 I think I'd also like to know how to get polys in Canada. My wife is from the GTA and we occasionally go up there. Last year, I stopped at at least two TRUs (one in Hamilton, one on the way to Niagara) looking for the Jurassic World poly and I couldn't find it, even though reports were out that it had been released. Kinda weird, since if you don't walk that far down, you'd miss it. Quote

manglegrat Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 (edited) ON Finally, today's Canadian TRU flyer says spend $25 on SW Lego, get the TFA C-3PO polybag free... Haven't been to a store to check it out though, so YMMV. Get 'em while they're hot! Edited December 5, 2015 by manglegrat Quote

I don't even have any sets I want/need....already ordered an extra Senate battle pack to get the gingerbread house from lego. I don't have to worry though, I have a polybag coming Quote
Spyderlord Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 Is it a known book or something in a pipeline? Quote

Haven't been to a store to check it out though, so YMMV. Get 'em while they're hot! Got one in Market Mall TRU in Calgary. Bought a couple of microfighters (AT-AT, Snowspeeder) to get it - had to ask at customer service, but it's all good. I wasn't going to miss out on this one like I did with TC-4 (I'll BL that eventually when I get over the sticker-shock from NA sellers). Quote
Kman860 Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 Found this last night *snip* Limited edition my ***, I have 2/3 of those figures, guess I'll wait for the white boba fett when I can get 3 minifigs at once then Quote
ResIpsaLoquitur Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 What CoffeGuy posted is one of those DK/Penguin book collections. There's a few on the market right now which I've seen at Kohl's, including two Star Wars ones. One has the above minifigures and (I think) a micro version of the last Visual Dictionary and Minifigure Encyclopedia. The other comes with the A-Wing polybag and has some sticker books. They're marked at $30 but I think Kohl's is selling them for $21. There's a few other book collections like that, including one for Friends (has the Emma Ice Cream cart), Ninjago (has Jay's mini-mech) and Chima (I don't remember what). Quote
ChiefPie Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 I have all those minifigures. I'd rather have each book they came with then one. Quote
