Ax_Rex Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 It does. The UCS torso also has arm printing though which makes it unique from the regular TIE Pilot even though the front and back printing are identical. I'm actually missing pieces from some sets and checked Bricks and Pieces out. Does it cost anything? Cuz the pieces don't show any prices? Quote

Cuz the pieces don't show any prices? If you mean that the set was missing pieces when you bought it LEGO service will send them to you free of charge. If you mean that they are missing because you lost them yourself you will need to buy new ones (he regular Bricks & Pieces will be back online early next year, and it shows the prices). Brickr Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 Yeah...kinda feel the marketing guys should have co-ordinated more with the producers. I imagine most people simply didn't see them at all. I wonder if TLG made sure that when the (I'm assuming) Snowspeeder scenes were cut, that JJ Abrams at least included this fleeting glimpse, so TLG didn't look stupid Quote
jfbat Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 I'm guessing the people that deal with the toy-licences made sure of that, or they'd have hell to pay for a vehicle they licensed not even appearing in the movie... I mean, they already had to deal with vehicles turning out a "little" different in the movie... Quote

Definitely, there are probably teams of people whose entire role is making sure these details are covered. What're the chances that JJ is going to Jackson these movies up with Extended versions? Snow speeders could feature here if they happen. Quote

I am sure there will be some special type edition when the movies hit blu-ray. Keep in mind though Episode VII is the only one Abrams is directing. Rian Johnson is directing Episode VIII and Colin Trevorrow is Episode IX. Quote
Tjahzi Posted December 18, 2015 Posted December 18, 2015 As long the characters won't be able to tame Rancors in epi IX, I'm cool with Trevorrow. Quote

I'm always a little concerned when this happens, as long as the screenplays are solid and keep to the overall theme of the trilogy it should be okay. Abrams was a great choice to kick it all off though, can't wait to see it again. Quote

Aethersprite Posted December 23, 2015 Posted December 23, 2015 So it seems Lego was right after all, in that the "cannons" on the top of the FO TIE are actually antenna (as Lego said they were), not cannons, which we (and many other toy brands) thought was a cannon. (http://i.imgur.com/6AdTNFp.jpg) Looks like our disappointment that the "cannon" didn't swivel was unfounded after all! Quote

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems like the description is implying the normal TIE only has one engine. Quote

Pcm979 Posted December 24, 2015 Posted December 24, 2015 Then it would be SIE, not TIE :) Well, Vader's TIE had four engines, but nobody called it a QIE. :P Quote
CM4Sci Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Yesterday at Target - Looks like Snowspeeder isn't selling too well. Quote
BigEl Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 (edited) Yesterday at Target - *snip* Looks like Snowspeeder isn't selling too well. As a designer, you know you are doing it wrong when.... No but seriously, besides those ugly miniguns that replace the real things engines, it really is Disneys fault for making the design so boring/bland and on top of that not even really showing the speeder in the movie/giving it a cool scene completely for itself, like a chase or something. I mean if it has nearly no movie presence, why would children ever want to have the thing? It can barely be called Merchandise, since its barely part of the movie. And then they even created a 2nd version and made it part of the microfighters.... Edited December 29, 2015 by Lobot : Please don't quote images, thanks Quote
