Well, I was hoping for a head piece, then a helmet-type mask on top. They could've done just a blank head......

But instead, the heads are rubber. Rubber. Rubber tends to change the form at the hole, so that it gets too loose. And when I moved across states, I had some rubber guys packed up. The heat melted them, actually melted them. Of course, they weren't a puddle, but it was like Play-doh now!

Lego needs to stick with plastic. Rubber never works out for them.

Well, the BP includes one that is actually different from the Ghost looking back- they have blue markings on the helmet. I'm not good with LEGO Star Wars knowledge.

If the Stormies in the BP are a new variant, neither Rebels nor OT, I give up. :wall:

Also, I hope that the potential inclusion of a Riot Stormtrooper in the AT-DP isn't an indication for a gazillion types of Stormies in Rebels. The Clone Wars had that issue in spades with regards to the clones: it seemed like there was a type of clone for any situation, no matter how esoteric or ridiculous.

Kind of like Batman's gear in the 60s show, only that was played for laughs.

I find the Rebel Stormie hate to be a little odd. This is the first BP we've ever had that is exclusively Stormtroopers (the first Imperial BP had one Darktrooper, which wasn't bad, but you get my point). Sure, the Rebel Stormies look different from the regular Saga versions, but I think the prospect that this is the first real way for us to easily stock up on Stormtroopers far outshines the fact that they have slightly cartoony printing. If you think about it in terms of the fact that LEGO wisely dropped the cartoony fig design they had for The Clone Wars in preference for a more classic design, the Rebels figs fit in with regular Saga figs quite easily. We could've had a lot worse.

I believe Filoni has stated in interviews that he enjoys creating new trooper types, partly due to his enthusiasm for the 501st and like organizations, so I'd place good money on seeing some stormtrooper variants in Rebels. It's not as ridiculous as it seems; there's a Military Occupational Specialty for pretty much everything in the U.S. military, and I wouldn't expect it to be different in the galaxy far, far away.

Haha now we still have a chance, OT stormies has those markings.. are rebel stormies have the same? If it is not the same with the "ghos stormies" it might be the new ot stormies!!!! Or.. maybe they just release a new rebel stormies that are not as ugly as those in the ghost.. dang

I'd imagine more updated Stormies. Its a real shame to us TFOL's and AFOL's, but if they sell well with the kids, theres no other reason to deny it. Heck, if my young cousin turns out to like the Rebels show, I'll probably buy him a few ITT's. He loves Stormtroopers, but I'd say he really wouldn't care what he got.

Not all special head molds are made of rubber. Minifigures like Bossk, Admiral Ackbar, Greedo, the Biths, Ithorian, Geonosians and Protocol Droids all have plastic heads.

I think the Ree-Yees minifig (you mention him in one of the links in your post) is one of the best minifigs!

Let's first see how Tusken looks before we jump to conclusions.

Rubber heads can be quite bad sometimes, I have two CW Yoda heads and the 2009 one's still in perfect condition, but the print on advent calendar's one's almost dissapeared.

Technically that was a Shadow Stormtrooper, or a Blackhole Stormtrooper... Darktroopers tend to be bluish gray, and with very different armor & helmets (and are usually droids)

A dark trooper would be cool to have in rebels to get a lego version. Also I guess the shadow troopers will have that greyish color on the helmets make it look like black wolf pack troopers. Hopefully they aren't rebels but the stormies from the ISD.

Are we expecting images this Thursday or Friday? Im not so desperate, but its one of those things that can turn your day from bad to good!

Yep, late in the week is the last mentioned time. I think he's trying to get a few more pics since he's missing several, but don't expect everything to turn up by then... may have to 'settle' for the Rebels sets, the movie sets, and half the Microfighters.

I own all the Yodas in that form- and all of them have been treated equally and all look perfect but my advent calendar one has lost most of his hair(stress from delivering all those presents?) So I think those minifigures might have received a different paint job.

Haha

I've just read some words about womp rat on wookieepedia. It says they grow up to 3 metres, so it's going to be a lot bigger than the rat in prelims ...

Sure is taking a long time to host some pictures...

Look for the 'upload' or 'insert' button, ask an adult if you get stuck.

You missing a smiley off the end of that or just being rude :hmpf_bad:?

Please forgive me if I'm posting this in the wrong area. I'm not a Ninjago collector, but a leaked pic of 70570 Mobile Ninja Base (if I remember correctly) showed what appeared to me to be a rescaled UCS X Wing canopy in trans black. It looked narrower across the front appearing to be 4 studs across, not six, and had 2 studs on top, not 4. Did anyone else see this and can anyone confirm or correct me? If this is the actual scaled-to-minifig size, I'm buying a billion of those things for my X Wing Mocs.

Guys, if you have older OT stormies (like from the endor battle pack or from the Ewok Village), you can but the Rebels ITT and use their bodies on your older stormies. They will look more uniform with the latest Destroyer's Stormie that way. Still won't be exact (because the latest destroyer's Stormie has a slightly updated helmet and the body and leg print is slightly different from the Rebels' print), but it will look more uniform than not swapping out the bodies; much more uniform! I'm looking forward to the ITT whether it's rebels or not now. I have 12 stormies from the Endor battle pack and Ewok Village that could use updated bodies!

As for the Imperial Troop Transport, I'm not too sure how I feel about the set.

The design is starting to growing on my but I won't be buying as many of these as originally planned, 5 or 6, if they are the Rebels variant for figs.

Also, get well soon Just2Good!

That's kinda what I'm planning on... it's just silly that the torso & legs are different from the ISD Stormies at all! Still nice looking prints, and the handful of old-torso stormies can swap helmets with the ITT ones easily enough and remain in the rear...the "matte painting" stormies, if you will

You have twelve Stormies? I have three! And that includes Ewok Village, and four years of collecting!

I was really looking forward to the ITT, but if they are the same Rebel Stormies from Ghost, then it's a definite skip. However, they may still have been updated to look less.......like a half-melted anime Stormie. But that is a great idea Venkefodo; using Rebel Stormies as background for an Emperor's Arrival MOC. Genius!!

That would be perfect. I know that you mean for them to appear in Rebels, but I always hoped that Lego would do a Battlefront series, like including some scenes and background locations from Cloud City, Death Star, Kamino, etc. As a matter of fact, I actually said this on this forum. This would be great for one simple reason: these locations are too big to be captured in full scale, and they are not iconic locations.

A Battlefront series would also allow for so many variants of soldiers to be made: Jetpack clones, clone snipers, clone engineers, Dark Troopers, rebel vanguards, etc. The problem with Lego Star Wars now is that they focus too much on the big, iconic people and locations, when what we really need is background locations and soldiers.

I really wanted this to be true but looking at the Ninjago set in high res it is very clearly the 12x6 windscreen from the UCS X-Wing, which has already been re-used in trans yellow for Benny's Spaceship.

Same with my Yoda minis! The black eyes on my Kit Fisto minifigure have almost completely rubbed off. :cry_sad::angry:

@: LN-01354 : You're completely right about the Battlefront sets! I'm still waiting for a "Mos Eisleys Hero Assault" set!

I have collected from the first SW sets and still didn't manage to get an army of these, simply because they change all the time...
