brigadier90 Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 (edited) Hey guys, Ive designed in my lab the following construct, which i found in a book: I am trying to use this construct as part of a manual i am making in LDD. However in LDD, when i try to place the final piece, which is the bevel gear Z20, it doesnt allow me. Please see image below: Any idea why this perfectly physcally feasable construct is impossible to build in LDD? PLEASE HELP Thank you Edited July 23, 2014 by brigadier90 Quote

pbat Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Voilà, I made a LXF file ready for you. Please download it here. Quote
legolijntje Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Yup, it's probably because of overlapping teeth. That's something I think they neew to improve to allow overlapping teeth for the sake of easiness while building. Like in SR3D Builder. Quote

obsidianheart Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Ran into this a lot when i was trying to build the Hurricane Heist set in LDD. I just rotated one axle 45 degrees, and most of the time that did the trick, but I'd have to build everything else that went on the rotated piece first or I'd have problems getting it to go on after it was moved. Zerobricks Posted July 24, 2014 Posted July 24, 2014 You just calculate the angle you need to rotate the gear simply by: 360/Number of gears/2.. Works every time Quote
