With the Hellicarrier releasing for VIP's in February, we should be seeing an official reveal any day now!!

I'm expecting it on Jan 1st, but I'll take the reveal sooner!

Also, does anyone know if that rumor of Ultimate Spider-man being cancelled is true or not? I heard it would be cancelled after this 3rd season. If it is true, I doubt the summer Spidey sets would be based on an already cancelled show.

We still got Clone Wars sets after the fact that series ended!

Plus were getting the Iron Spider suit. We still need White Tiger (fan like me want the team!). I highly doubt they'd do a character like Carnage unless is was a kiddified version like USM.

And yes it is ending after this season, but most kids programming has a hard time making it past three seasons.

I mean I'll definitely take the Iron Spider suit and White Tiger, but the villains need to be classic. Just my opinion, but I don't want to have to pass these sets up if the figs look horrible

To be honest I really can't see it being a giant display model because it would just look like an ordinary Aircraft Carrier.

It'll include minifigures, for sure. Lego realizes that minifigures are a major selling point (hence the reason they included two exclusives with the Tumbler).

I'd say Nick Fury and Phil Coulson are almost guaranteed, and I'm really hoping for Maria Hill as well. Beyond that, maybe some Avengers variants.

If its anything like the Lego Ideas set then it'll probably have Nick Fury, Agent Coulson, Maria Hill and Black Widow.

Thanks for the comment kevkipo! I think that lego would be crazy not to include figures because common lets be realisti the only real reason people bought the tumbler was not for the vehicle but for the heath ledger joker and the christian bale batman!

I think if its just a tumbler style display model then they are making: A WHOPPING MISTAKE! For the price they are charging it has to be compatible with minfigures and have interior features. Its the most iconic part of the Phase 1 and 2 Marvel Movies. They could make such a good 1088 Death Star style set with lots of figures, a few rooms, features, something that would be the crowning jewel of the superhero line. Its unique, recognizable and iconic, it needs to be the level of set the death star is really, i mean detail and playability wise. Plus maybe not 24 minfigures but i'd say a fair few should be included due to its importance. Plus the tumbler i actually wanted to get but £169 for a huge tank that i can't integrate into anything and two exclusive figures, not worth it, it should have been minifigure compatible. I understand its a collector piece but its the only accurate tumbler ever released and it's only value is that it looks nice on a shelf.

Therefore i think the helicarrier should be a decent sized accurate model that incorporates minifigure functions. The slave 1 and Death Star and Ewok villiage have shown us this is possible, lets just hope lego gets it right.

I bought the Tumbler for the Tumbler, and consider the minifigs a nice bonus. I suspect my attitude toward the Helicarrier will be the same. There are figures I'd like to see, but I ultimately want to see a big, detailed, challenging build.

I concur! I'm hoping to see the more iconic locations like the bridge, Loki's prison, Banner's lab, and maybe a hanger. Really hoping it's a playset-style set.

Nobody should buy a Lego set for display only...

Personally this might be my first UCS set but it depends on whether they made it even have features that could be considered worthy, otherwise i could just buy the plastic Helicarrier toy :L

I wouldn't expect too many playset-like features. I want that as much as anybody, but a set of this size is going to have to devote a significant portion of the build to stability and structure. Not to mention the fact that the Helicarrier is a vehicle first and foremost.

I would expect there to be some playable features, such as some parts of the ship lifting up and revealing bits of interior here and there, but I'm not expecting much more than that. We'll just have to wait though!

I don't think that it will be UCS because in the list of Exclusives for next year, there is the Avenger's Helicarrier, which is supposedly what it is being called, but then there is also the Star Wars TIE Fighter, which has UCS in the name, while the Helicarrier does not.

The tumbler didn't have a UCS title in the name as well but it's considered a UCS due to size...so long story short we won't know what it'll be until official reveal

If it is indeed a UCS version, I hope TLG ends up releasing a "playable" version of the Helicarrier similar to what they have done with iconic Star Wars ships (Millennium Falcon, X-Wing, etc.)
