No they aren't i actually don't really like them, just some 1x2 flat tiles stacked in a circular movement. I guess you really have to stay in touch with my Flickr account for that

I'll try to give a look :classic:

I'm in a very frantic period and I can barely find the time to post on my blog (feel free to give a look  )

Btw I think those "energy blades" are a wrong choice indeed: they look more like a weapon than a "power" to be honest :classic:

Thank you :classic:

I gave a look at your flickr: very interesting indeed. A lot of LOTR projects, cool photography and the floating Guardians of the Galaxy ship really gives a "sense of motion" :classic:

Alright 2015 Quinjet (722 Pieces, $79.99 USD and 5 Figures/2 Exclusive Figures)

Vs

2014 Milano ( 665 Pieces, $74.99 USD, 5 Figures / 4 Exclusive Figures)

Vs

2012 Quinjet (735 Pieces, $69.99 USD and 5 figures / 2 Exclusive)

Which one is the best?

Which one is better?

My vote would have to go the Milano for the amount of detail, space for figures, and exclusive figures. If the 2015 quinjet had lost the play feature with motercycle for figure space that would be my vote.

I agree that the crazy amoumt of accuracy to the real model, detail and 4 exclusive figures are a really big plus for the Milano, but one of my main gripes about it is that it had almost no play features with the exception of a few stud shooter cannons and the ability to move the wings.

The Milano is still an excellent model but the lack of a major, marketable playfeature causes it to be 2nd behind the new Quinjet in my opinion, as it has 2 of the most sought after figures this year (Vison and Ultimate Ultron), several pretty nice play features and a better price per piece ratio make it overall a better set than the Milano.

Milano is definitely the best. I'm a sucker for ships with good interior. I'm probably going to mod the interior to this new Quinjet. The bike feature is so stupid. The old Quinjet is okay, but had a lot of lacking qualities. It's pretty massive in size but has a dinky interior. They could've made it bigger.

The Milano doesn't need a play feature because it IS the play feature! It fits a few Guardians, it's extreeeeeeemely swooshable, and I even like the color. I don't need the cockpit to explode, or a wing to fall off, or a minifig to jump out of it to enjoy playing with it with my kids. I also like the original Quinjet because it was a solid build that was a pretty fair representation of the source material. I haven't see the new Quinjet to make a similar comparison.

The Milano is very nice, but it's behind the old Quinjet for me. It could be that it was my first large piece for my collection, or how much I love The Avengers, but it's still my favorite large-scale piece.

I am still torn over the new Quinjet. Maybe after seeing the new movie it'll grow, but right now, it doesn't do much for me.

Milano wins. Such a unique build and I had a ton of fun making small modifications with added detailing. I only wish that the sticker sheet had included the actual name "Milano."

I'm gonna go with the 2015 Quinjet one, it has Vision, Ultron, Widow, Cap and Tony. that's a good set of figs + the newly highly anticipated figure of Vision

It is very sleek and has an awesome color palette, it's very "Shoowsh-able" (that's a word!) just like the Milano is

I agree that the Milano looks cool, (i don't have neither) but i just really like the Dark Blue and White

This is why we can never please everybody! 8-)

Two people almost right after each other have completely opposite interests in regards of what a set should have, given that for their scale they can't have both - space for figures and an interesting and "impacting" play feature.

(...)

Which one is better?

Me, as the designer of the 3 of them, I'd say my favorite replica - for now, since I haven't seen the Avengers: Age Of Ultron movie yet - is the Milano, and although I agree that the lack of a key play feature is a downside, I had to stick to the main brief of getting an accurate model with room for all the characters - except Groot for obvious reasons! :)

I have a special place in my heart for the first Quinjet, because it was indeed the first one, but the newest is my favorite one, because the original model has gotten a much slicker and aerodynamic look and I'm very proud of the look of the final product. And seeing the main play feature already depicted in the movie trailer really pumped me up! Can't wait to see the whole thing!

So, my advice would be: get them all! ;)

Wow. Marcos Bessa Just answered my question. Thanks.

Can't wait to see if there is a new Quinjet in Infinity War or Civil War and seeing you guys pull it off awesome like. As you always do...

Indeed. I started with a couple of them, just for fun then people seemed to like them and so I decided to support the fans in their "anti-Jar Jar" efforts lol :classic:

I know marvel thread... But out of those ships... I would go get the Javelin.

It is considered one of the best sets in this year's Super Heroes themes. I should get mine soon :classic:

Milano for me. He new Quinjet is probably my least favorite of the three. There's really no room for minifigs, and it's a lot smaller than the other two for being the costliest. :sceptic:

In regards to the quinjets, at least the play feature for the 2015 one is actually in the movie. I found the drone to be kindof useless. But hey, that's why we're Lego fans! MODing and MOCing to the rescue!

That said, I have yet to get either the Milano or the new quinjet. Not that I don't want them.

Really great to hear from a designer, you guys always give us stunning work despite your limited source material, and I have a great respect for the level of quality and creativity you put into the sets.

My reasons for preffering the Milano are simple, sure it's nice to fit all the characters in and have it shoot lasers and what not, but at the end of the day I want a set to give me a reason not to tear it down and use the parts and be the best looking set on my shelf and for that reason I choose the Milano.

Seriously you designed 3 epic ships, great job
