namioik Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 (edited) Well, I gove the benefit of the doubt, and say I can be more excited now! Come to think of it, didn't the last Avengers sets come out in December, and then the Spider-Man set came in March? Making sure because I wasn't really into the theme then. No, we didn't know what the avengers sets even looked like until toy fair in February. The sets were then released in March/April. It was mid June when the pictures of the first spider man set appeared Edited December 20, 2014 by namioik Quote
Dragonlego27 Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 Its the exact same scepter as in Avengers (2012) - the only difference is Lego are beginning to realise that the Infinity Gems are becomming more important and thus the Scepter Gem being an Infinity Gem will likely play a greater role in the future films. So they made it a Gem instead so that one day they can have a set with a bunch of Lego Gems to represent the different Gems. ---- Really hope we get a Thanos set and Infinity War Lego.. Don't worry about about Infinity War sets, the two films are likely to be the biggest movies in their respective years (apart from SW) and Lego won't miss capitalising on that. It's Ragnorak I'm worried about. And Civil War... Quote
kevkipo Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 So anyone busy with a MOC already for the figs in the new AoU sets?, i myself am making a Pietro and Wanda MOC Quote
Cy_Bored1337 Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 I wish they made the Hulkbuster like the Ninjago mechs Quote
elederberg Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 I do think it is a little weird that we have official pictures so early though, considering last time we first saw them at Toy Fair and then a little while after that we saw official pictures. So maybe that means we will get them early. Also the DC sets and the Marvel sets did have the same release dates in the catalog. Quote

Ragnarok i doubt will get sets, maybe 3-4 if we are very lucky, but i get the feeling Guardians Of The Galaxy 2 is the more likely 2017 film to get sets. I get the feeling we'll see sets for the following; - Avengers (2012) - Iron Man 3 (2013) - Guardians Of The Galaxy (2014) - Avengers 2 (2015) - Ant-Man (2015) - Civil War (2016) - Guardians Of The Galaxy 2 (2017) - Avengers Infinity War Part 1 (2018) - Avengers Infinity War Part 2 (2019) So anyone busy with a MOC already for the figs in the new AoU sets?, i myself am making a Pietro and Wanda MOC My desire for a MOC is to recreate this poster with the Ultron figures (Or have a bunch of Ultron's swarming the UCS Helicarrier) Edited December 20, 2014 by Scarilian Quote

I think we will probably see sets for Inhumans, since it was like GOTG and an unknown property which Marvel really pushed with merchandise, and hopefully Civil War or Ragnarok. I feel like when it comes to DC comic sets are a bigger deal and people want more of a combination of those and movie sets, but with Marvel people like the movie sets and welcome comic sets but prefer movie sets more. That could be completely wrong it's just my opinion. Quote

gedren_y Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 (edited) For Civil War to happen as a movie, Spider-man and Wolverine have to have joined the Avengers. They have major rolls in the storyline. Also given that ASM killed Norman Osborn, he can't be Iron Patriot in Dark Reign unless Marvel reboots Spider-man again, or resurrects him. There are also several others that have to be established. Doctor Strange is one of them, as it is his home that the refugee heroes are hiding out in. Edited December 20, 2014 by gedren_y Quote

Doctor Strange is one of them, as it is his home that the refugee heroes are hiding out in. They are loosely adapting the storyline like Extremis and Winter Soldier. There will be no public identity registration but the super heroes being the governments playthings will be feature. Black Panther is supposed to take Spidey's place in the narrative. Quote
kevkipo Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 Seeing the comic con panel again i noticed something I have a crush on Scarlet witch , gotta buy the Hulkbuster set now! Just kidding, i don't have so much money! im already buying all the other sets Quote
Ashnflash Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 That would be really neat, expensive though! Also you would need a couple of quicksilvers because he is seen almost anywhere running by! Quote

Ashnflash Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 5 Quicksilvers!?!? Actually that would be pretty good because you would also build up your Hydra army at the same time! Quote
TheLegoExperience Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 A member on the Brickset forum says we will be getting a Winter Soldier polybag. I hope this is true because I, like many others, would love to have him as a minifigure. If this is true, I assume he would be the spring exclusive? Makes sense since Marvel hasn't had one since 2012. Quote
8BrickMario Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 That would be great. I love the spring bonus, since my birthday's in that time frame. I got two Martian Manhunters this year since two family members went shoppihg for the LEGO sets on my list! Quote

But, I NEED A WINTER SOLDIER MINIFIGURE NOW! Quote
Im a brickmaster. Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 Wahh whaaa Winter soldier!? PLEASE lord let it be true! If this is in fact true I will hunt the ends of the earth till I get one! Quote

I guess we do she's so pretty Ok let's get serious now, i have a big question now that SW and QS are introduced into the MCU are we going to see them in more movie's? like infinity War? Wait, you're not getting the Hulkbuster set? Because of the price? It's one of the cheapest sets! No, it's more because im not really interested in it My fave characters are Thor, Quicksilver and Hawkeye (and now Scarlet Witch) so im for sure buying Hydra Showdown and Hydra Fortress, and to add more baddies Iron Man vs Ultron Drones. i'll need to BL Wanda then Quote
The Legonater Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 Weird to put one of the new avengers in only a exclusive set... It's probably a store exclusive. Oin and Gloin from the first Hobbit wave were solely in a TRU exclusive set. I don't love the constant figure duplicates. I thought there were a lot of IM duplicates, but it looks like at least 3 version maybe? Based on the pictures, the names are different. I appreciate it. For a moment I thought it was only Iron Man, but most of the Avengers have duplicates. As someone who group not being able to afford a whole wave just to complete your team, I think this one of the best solutions. That said, to get everyone you still wind up with duplicates, so maybe it's only half a win. Quote

Scarilian Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 (edited) Yeah, chances are i'm going to get a couple of the Iron Man Vs Ultron sets and then get the rest of the figures i need from Bricklink. We'll see :P What, No Captain Marvel sets? Then again, she'll probably be In Infinity War. Yeah, that was my thought also; - Black Panther with the Civil War sets - Doctor Strange with the Infinity War Part 1 sets - Captain Marvel with the Infinity War Part 2 sets Nice! I'm buying at least 6 Iron man vs Ultron drones sets Then you have like 18 drones Nice! Yeah, will either do that or Bricklink them, depends on the cost xD Im going to buy 5 Bricklink is your friend :P For Civil War to happen as a movie, Spider-man and Wolverine have to have joined the Avengers.
