Kire Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Given we didn't get Thor Dark World or CA Winter Soldier sets, I'd be surprised if we got Antman sets. Then again I'd have said the same about GOTG and a couple of those sets are great. I'd be surprised if we got more than one. Technically we have got some unofficial CA Winter Soldier sets, That Hydra vs Cap set was no coincidence and same thing goes for falcon in the Modok set, not to mention the unofficial DOFP set, "X-men vs Sentinel", I expect one set, nothing more nothing less unless we want a repeat of the Iron man 3 sets which were bad minus the mansion attack. Also I noticed nobody has pointed this out about the SDCC rocket raccoon, what if it's made into a key chain, I noticed the Lego did that with the promo hulk so I wouldn't be surprised if Lego did that, since it's the more obvious route since we only want the figure. Numbuh1Nerd Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 I'd say we'll get at least ONE Ant-Man set. He's a new character, a very "super" character, and an Avengers staple. Whether it's a direct movie tie-in or not, we're gonna get him somehow. Quote
rodiziorobs Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 (edited) If we do get Ant-Man, we'll have to have a shrunken Ant-Man as well. Do you think he'll be a microfigure like the pieces from the board games or one of those trophy pieces? I think the trophy thing would work better, but I feel like Lego would be more likely to go with the micro figure for the sake of printing. Printing on the statuette piece has been done before, in POTC. Edited August 13, 2014 by rodiziorobs Quote
blarghiflargh Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 If they did a $20 set with Ant-Man and a giant(relatively) ant with whatever his enemy is in the film, that'd be great. Quote
wesker Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 If they did a $20 set with Ant-Man and a giant(relatively) ant with whatever his enemy is in the film, that'd be great. Don't forget Wasp too! Quote
KCMatze Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 A brick-built giant ant would be great. Wasp and Ant-Man, maybe Yellowjacket. Boom aweseome set :-P Quote
Bob Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 I don't think anyone else has brought this up, but do you think we'll see any Fantastic Four sets? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1502712/ The new Fantastic Four movie comes out in 2015. Quote
8BrickMario Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 There is one? I thought Marvel was shutting down the FF franchise due to conflict with the Fox movies. Quote
Ultron Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 No I don't think we'll see sets at all because Marvel (and even the fans) wants this stupid reboot to flop. They're not going want Lego to promote and market them. I'd like them in a set eventually though so hopefully the rights revert back after this box office disaster waiting to happen fails Quote

Fox is going to retain the rights either way, so I'd prefer a great, high-quality, successful movie. Marvel Studios vs Fox is as stupid and pointless as Marvel vs DC. I don't care who makes it as long as it's good, and I don't care about shared universes since the FF wouldn't work very well in the MCU anyway. Quote
BrickG Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Yeah I think Marvel would rather Lego not do anything with the properties they currently don't have movie control over. And Lego probably doesn't want to piss them off as they're the better choice. Quote

The movie is made with not one single bit of love or care. Fox is only making it since they have to otherwise the rights fall back to Marvel. And the director is only making it so he can make Chronicle 2 with a different name (you would cringe at how much they're changing) Quote

LMB10 Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 People don't want it to flop so Marvel can have ht back - mostly, anyway - they want it to flop because it sounds terrible. Like, completely awful. I doubt Marvel would want Lego promoting that, especially since they seem pretty spiteful of Fox atm. Quote
Steph 104th Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 (edited) I'd like Marvel to get EVERYTHING back, Spiderman, X- Men and Fantastic 4. Cross- overs made the comics even better, I want that on the Big screen, plus that's the only way we will get the sets. Edited August 14, 2014 by Steph 104th Quote
Hulk_Smash Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Ant-Man will come. As will a bionicleish sized Hulkbuster Quote
hollisbrick Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Ant-Man will come. As will a bionicleish sized Hulkbuster I didn't believe you, until I saw the tag under your DP Sounds interesting. Would a set like that come with a normal sized Ant Man as well as a 'bionicle sized one'? Quote
8BrickMario Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 (edited) Don't believe it yet. He is hinting at something on the DC topic, too, but I can't be sure if it's serious. How did you get these pieces of info? Edited August 14, 2014 by 8BrickMario Quote
Cheatster9000x Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Ant-Man will come. As will a bionicleish sized Hulkbuster Sooo, Groot size? Or Mata Onua size? Quote

Hulk_Smash Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 I am serious mario, the woman who runs my local toy shop told me (and also told me not to tell anybody, oops) Quote
8BrickMario Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Well, that sounds good, then. The Marvel theme seems to like larger mini-jointed figures like Groot and the Sentinel, so I'm sure that the Hulkbuster will be similar. Although that doesn't make my expectations very high. Quote
Hulk_Smash Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Well I've been told that a regular iron man figure can fit into, but from what I was told it does seem to be about Groot size. Quote
rexusprime Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 @hulk_smash do you have any other information for us? Quote
Hulk_Smash Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 No sorry, this is all I know at the moment sorry Quote
