kevkipo Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 The dome head works great in my opinion, have you guys REALLY looked at the movie head? I have to agree with Deskp here, it serves it right Quote
Borex Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Why does it seem that Ultron has round eyes? Thats not good at all. Quote
deskp Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Why does it seem that Ultron has round eyes? Thats not good at all. Yep its bad. loses his whole feel. Quote
Quicksilver Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Well, if Ultron Prime is the one on the entertainment weekly cover, he does lose his whole feel. Quote
Jay_Em Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Hulkbuster looks much better in those photos. Quote
agoodfella77 Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 So, 'The Hulkbuster Smash' has been revealed, so time for thoughts; - Ultron Prime appears to have a piece that connects between the head and body piece in order to have his side spikes - Hulk doesnt appear to have the neck articulation i was hoping for from big figs like Mungus from Chima - Scarlet Witch looks alright, though the hair piece should have been this - Some transparent pieces presumably so you can have Iron Man flying, in addition a transparent piece connects the Hulkbuster head to the body - The Hulkbuster arms look a tad thin and the legs look like Chicken Legs... but it seems a good build Will probably pick this up as a cheap way to get the Hulk along with a bunch of other important figures. Official images of the AOU sets appear to be appearing as shown here Does anyone else think that the shoulder / head section of Hulk could be removable? That seam in the mold seems to indicate it? Quote
deskp Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Does anyone else think that the shoulder / head section of Hulk could be removable? That seam in the mold seems to indicate it? Well, for production it's a seperate piece, so that LEGO can replace the head for future figures using the same body. The head won't be removeable for the 'end user' Quote
strangely Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Am I imaging it or is Scarlet Witch's head the same as Supergirl? That would explain why they went with black eyebrows over blonde for Supergirl... I'm hoping I'm wrong, that seems a bit lazy. Quote
Masked Builder Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Well, if Ultron Prime is the one on the entertainment weekly cover, he does lose his whole feel. That's not his final form, his final form is this one. Quote
Quicksilver Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 (edited) That's not his final form, his final form is this one. Pretty sure that is the one that comes in The Quinjet City chase. The Hulkbuster set Ultron looks like the one on the front of the entertainment weekly cover. http://img2.timeinc....ron_612x380.jpg Edited January 22, 2015 by LuxorV Please do not quote images from the same page. Pulp Detective Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 The dome head works great in my opinion, have you guys REALLY looked at the movie head? I agree but it annoys me that Lego gave him white blank eyes and not blue ones like the movie.Still it's pretty accurate and looks awesome!! Quote
DarkKnight7 Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 (edited) The dome head works great in my opinion, have you guys REALLY looked at the movie head? Yeah, I think it looks great! Can't wait to see more pics of the other sets/minifigure close ups! Edited January 22, 2015 by LuxorV Quote
CF Mitch Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Thanks for those pictures!! Oh, my God, that set is so incredibly amazing I can't help but hoping hat the Hulk has plain, purple pants.. I know some said stuff about printing errors and that on the box cover the proper printing can be seen... but I stil don't see it, so... Regards, Mitch Quote
elederberg Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Those pictures make me feel much better about the Hulkbuster. In the first picture we saw it didn't look that accurate, but my faith has been restored and I can't wait to pick this set up in March. Quote
LMB10 Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Looks quite nice. Shame Scarlet Witch looks to only have printing on the front of the legs, and Ultron looks dreadful, but other than that a nice set. Those blue blasts will annoy me though. Quote

K-Nut Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Hulk buster does look pretty good now. I like Scarlet Witch,it I'm not sure if I like Ultron or not. I'm guessing that the quinjet version will look better. Still not sold on Hulk, though. The hulkbuster looks a bit big, but not too out of proportion. Quote
SMC Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 "By the way, I can't believe I forgot to mention this before as it was one of things I was most excited about - there is an actual Green Goblin minifigure (who looks like the comic book version) in one of the Juniors sets! I think he even had a pumpkin bomb and flyer, so that will be a must buy for me." From brickset Seems a bit odd to me that some of the junior sets are becoming much have for afol like the batcave with light blue batman. Quote

I can't wait to see what the glider looks like. Hopefully it comes with a couple more minifgures and a nice little build. Now all I need is Gwen Stacy and I'll be 100% happy with the Spider-man sets. Maybe a polybag or something (movie version would be awesome). Quote
jasonwyngard Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 The hulkbuster looks pretty good, although you still can't tell how tall he is compared to a big figure. Does anyone know if the classic green goblin is really coming in a junior's set? Just wanted to make sure. Quote
Ultron Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 The dome head works great in my opinion, have you guys REALLY looked at the movie head? I still don't think it looks right. It looks flat and unappealing with the dome. Why does it seem that Ultron has round eyes? Thats not good at all. I know, it makes me really sad. It just doesn't look like him without those signature eyes. It makes sense for his final form, but not for the others. there is an actual Green Goblin minifigure (who looks like the comic book version) in one of the Juniors sets! I kinda wish it had been a real set though, rather than a juniors. Quote
Scarilian Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 (edited) The transparent thing is for scarlet witch as seen on box art. Actually the transparent thing is not on the box art, but the description does apparently mention that she's the one who uses the transparent piece. The dome head works great in my opinion, have you guys REALLY looked at the movie head? Figured it out :3 The Lego figure lacks the pieces surrounding the gold, the red pieces that jut-out from the dome in order to make the face plate seem like a face plate. In essence it was what stopped the dome just being a dome on the movie version. Hence why people have issues with the dome. Its so smooth and non-detailed other than the printed piece so any view other than directly from the front appears 'off'. Without the layers of detail on the dome, any other angle its viewed from is flawed. Even from the front it will be flawed as the printed piece doesnt have anything to seperate it from the surrounding dome. Why does it seem that Ultron has round eyes? Thats not good at all. I know, it makes me really sad. It just doesn't look like him without those signature eyes. It makes sense for his final form, but not for the others. There are varying versions of Ultron. Ultimate Ultron in film has round eyes, Ultron MK1 in film has 'line' eyes, Ultron's drones in film have 'line eyes' and not sure about the Ultron Prime version. For the toys they are going with circular eyes with a helmet allowing for the 'line' eyes "By the way, I can't believe I forgot to mention this before as it was one of things I was most excited about - there is an actual Green Goblin minifigure (who looks like the comic book version) in one of the Juniors sets! Cammo Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 (edited) Spider-Man fans will get some great sets this year: classic Green Goblin, Rhino, Sandman, Carnage... With last year's Electro, Venom & Dr. Octopus all the most-known villains have been covered. Only Mysterio, Vulture, Black Cat, Lizard & Shocker to go I guess...
