Pulp Detective Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 (edited) I'm looking at the AoU Black Window minifig and I can't help it but notice how ugly she is.Finally Lego got her right hairpiece but her face doesn't bear any similarity to Scarlett Johansson at all. Pulp Detective Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 (edited) I have to disagree, i think it resembles her very well I like how Lego handled her new costume but her face just doesn't do it.Not to mention that most of the time BW has a serious expression yet Lego somehow overlooked that fact. TheBatstan Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 At least there's no cheekbones this time. Quote
HawkLord Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 The face is pretty good, but I think the hair flares out alittle too much and it makes the overall head look oddly shaped. Quote
deskp Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 They could and should have done a better job with the face. and I would have prefered her with the Starlet hairpiece. Quote

Robianco Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 The starlet hair is so close to her Avengers 1 hair it's ridiculous it was never used. I still intend to pick one up and dye it red to use with my Christo custom. Quote
Im a brickmaster. Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 I think the hair piece looks terrible but it least they got rid of the God-awful cheek bones! Geesh. Quote
Cloveapple Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 Also appears that Elsa now has Loki's staff... which is interesting I can't help imagining this as an actual storyline. ;-D Will Elsa go around mind-controlling people? Does Loki know that she has it? Quote
Ultron Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 The new hair is way better than the last, but I don't understand why they couldn't have just used the starlet piece instead Quote
K-Nut Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 (edited) The face looks fine to me. The hairpiece (at least in that picture) looks very unfinished to me. Hopefully it looks better in person. Edited January 31, 2015 by K-Nut Quote

Just informing, that it'll be available in something other than blueish and yellow. btw Im not sure the the starlet hair existed when they made avenergs 1 sets. Edited January 31, 2015 by deskp Quote
Risgrynsgrot Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 btw Im not sure the the starlet hair existed when they made avenergs 1 sets. Actually the Starlet came out in January 2013, while the first Avengers sets came out in April 2012. So you're right. Shame tough, since I'd much prefer that to any of the different hairstyles we've gotten! Quote
deskp Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 (edited) Did some photoshop to show what it could look like. Edit: changed her eyebrows and lips. On the right figure. Edited February 1, 2015 by deskp Quote
Robianco Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 (edited) Ha! She kind of looks like Black Widow's mum! There was me getting all antsy about the starlet hair and Lego didn't introduce it until around 8 months later! The Christo figure has a prettier face design so hopefully it'll work. Thanks for the heads up in the upcoming Friends appearance. It's still a relatively expensive hairpiece to pick up on BL. For some reason I really want to brasso the blue lines off that new torso! Risgrynsgrot Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 The starlet hair isn't perfect, but it's certainly better than the brand new mold.. I don't get why they made the ends stick out like that, it looks silly, she looks like Pippi Longstockings.. Quote
Robianco Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 Pippi Langstrumpf! A rare occurrence of the Germanic version sounding prettier! Quote
deskp Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 Ha! She kind of looks like Black Widow's mum! The Christo figure has a prettier face design so hopefully it'll work. The starlet face looks more like scarlet johansen. It has her eyebrows, the widow figure has strange eyebrows messing up her face. Quote
Jay_Em Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 I think it looks good enough. But does anyone else dislike the printed 'curves' Lego are adding to female figures? To me they just stand out and detract, rather than adding any curviness. Quote
Robianco Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 (edited) Out of interest... that's how I'd like her to have appeared. No blue lines, starlet face in light flesh and the starlet hair in red. Edited January 31, 2015 by Robianco Quote
Ultron Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 Maybe they'll get it right if we get Civil War sets...but who knows if the Russo Brothers will change her hair again. Quote
Cloveapple Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 (edited) Am I the only one who thinks these are adorable. I see potential for a new collection addiction... ETA: After posting, I saw that some other people also like them. Edited February 1, 2015 by Cloveapple Quote

I don't mind the ones where it is slight and subtle shading, but the super-curvy, extra small-waisted ones annoy me. Quote

That head looks less like ScarJo than Lego's. I think Lego's looks okay, no cheekbones! I think the eyebrows throw people of they are arched when ScarJo's is normally flat, also her lips should be pink like HBC's Red from Lone Ranger or Padme's AotC version. Also Lego's new hair mould is very accurate to the AoU version Edited February 1, 2015 by DJ Bricks Quote
